11Hi there. As you may or may not know, for a while now @wootstalkerbot has been making daily posts about for what’s for sale on woot.
While it was a fun experience creating him, it’s time to say so long. It’s not goodbye forever, he’ll still be around for the wootoffs, but he isn’t going to be stopping by every day.
If you feel you need to chat, you can still summon him with the /wootstalker command (even though technically it’s @mediocrebot). Thanks for all the fun! Smell ya later!

Wait, why now? What’s the catalyst? A bunch of people disagreed with me when I said that I didn’t like it. So what’s the deal?
@Willijs3 It was launched with the intention of gauging how much it got used on a daily basis. Enough time has passed that we can see that while there was some use on daily threads, it’s not enough to justify a dedicated topic to every day.
It makes more sense to keep the
/wootstalkercommand available if somebody has something they want to discuss on any given day. They can either make a thread or just piggyback an existing product thread (either the monthly deal thread, or the most recent woot-off thread). Woot-Off threads will still get posted, which is where the majority of the discussions happened anyways.@Barney
