Does that mean the remaining ones will be discounted even further on account of metal and expired?

What it fails to say is what kind of metal was found. Shards of aluminum or magnesium might not trip the detector, and injury is possible from bits too small for the detector to have much of a reaction from.
Of course, looking this up, Julie’s sent out their recall notice 5/10 and meh sat on this info a full 2 weeks before notifying us.
I’m not sure what the big deal is. They say “Grain-Free,” not “Metal-Free”
