For a kid’s room light switch I’m guessing?
@therealjrn Nope, it’s a fake cardboard Switch.

/giphy fake out
@sammydog01 Looks like a wall switch plate to me…hmm
@therealjrn Yes, it’s a wall switch and fake controllers with instructions on how to make a fake switch. I suppose you could put the light switch on the wall but that kind of defeats the purpose.
I can’t wait to play that new Zelda: Flash of the Light on it!
I am considering buying one…is it mean? He isn’t getting a switch though…
@mikibell
@RiotDemon I bought it…might as well add cruel to my “mean mom” title!
@mikibell Let us know how it goes.
@sammydog01 it isn’t quite cruel…he has had a switch since January; my inlaws bought it for his birthday, he paid for all of the parts since then. Somehow I was suckered into giving him Mario before Christmas…big sigh!
@mikibell That should be fun then. And the light switch is like a fidget toy- click, click, click, click…
@mikibell I will never forget the Christmas I asked for an Apple IPhone and my dad got an empty box and put an apple in it. Then made me pose with said apple like I was talking on it. I’m still bitter about it. Don’t do it.
@mandirose Bummer. I asked for a pony and got a little plastic one. But I guess that’s not the same. (She did say he already has a real Switch.)
@mandirose The posing part made me laugh.
@Al_Coholic
@mandirose You even managed a little smile. You must be a good sport.
@mandirose My family did the same thing when I asked for a copy of the game Full Throttle- I got a copy of the movie, and the bewildered look on my face was priceless (I did actually get the game as well, they just pulled that switcheroo first).
@dashcloud Ha that’s awesome. I did not get an Iphone…
@mandirose Haha ouch. You look less than thrilled.
@mandirose I am sorry, but your family’s antics sound right up my alley! The evil newly minted teenager (his b-day was yesterday!!) is spoiled beyond belief and already has the switch. My only fear is he will try to replace the light switch in his room without turning off the electricity!!
P.S. adorable picture!
@mikibell Ha that’s hilarious. I too was spoiled beyond belief which I can admit now
@ruouttaurmind
This looks appealing…
@mflassy What does the /8ball say?
@narfcake
/8ball Is the answer to this question the truth?
Concentrate and ask again
@mflassy If anyone on my gift list wanted a Ninty Switch I’d be all up on this.
You do live dangerously.
You think if they were able to get their hands on these Nintendo Switches, it would have been better?
@narfcake I got a set if you or Sammy wanted?
Sold out. Hahahaha!
@sammydog01 Not their first time a gag item that sold out. In just the past year, the dime bag (50 dimes for $10 + $5 shipping), and the $4.20 series for a bag of weed (dandelion), bag of pot (clay, some reassembly required), bag of grass (Easter variety), and bag of MJ (Michael Jordan card), all sold out too.
@narfcake This is cooler than those and took a lot more work on Woot’s part.
@narfcake I wouldn’t really consider this a gag gift. It’s a nice gift to spruce up a gamers room. If you give it instead of a Nintendo switch to be cruel, then maybe it’s a gag.
