The fuko bag is pink? Damn it, I thought I was going to keep my fuko bag this time! Maybe I can get my old fuko bag back from my wife now…a dreamer can dream. It has penguins and anything with penguins is awesome.
Mine has been shipped! Still listed as placeholder size, but has an ETA of Oct. 13. Wow, that is some kind of slow shipping! Said it shipped Oct. 6th! I didn’t know FedEx even offered a shipping option that slow! Oh well, still excited to see what’s in the box!
YAY! It came finally. Not a bad Fuko. The 2 pack of wireless cameras would have been nice a few months ago before I bought 2, but I’m sure these will go to good use, double the coverage now! Kids will love the reversible sequin pillow as well.
Mine came today! Pink bag, mediocre socks, coffee mug, electronic toothbrush, purse by Santana, and 24 wooden spoons (no crockery to go with the spoons though). The toothbrush, mug, bag and mediocre socks were definitely worth the $5. Purse is decidedly meh.

Were all those that have arrived thus far in the earliest Fuko batch? I was in the final (charred bag edition) and mine isn’t expected to arrived until mid-next week. Wondering if the Fuko-batch plays any part in how long it takes or what “standard” items seem to be included??
@Hskrjer99 nope, got mine in hte first couple of seconds. and fed ex keeps lateing the delivery date even though it already arrived about 50 miles away.
@Cerridwyn@Hskrjer99 Delivery times are vastly varied due to the nature of the shipping service Meh uses. Everything is shipped FedEx Smartpost which is a collaborative service with the U.S. Postal Service. In essence, FedEx delivers the parcel to the USPS distribution facility near you via the most economical route for FedEx, then the USPS takes it and brings it the ‘last mile’. Because of this it’s not uncommon for people to see things happen like packages being 30 miles away from their house before being trucked a further 150 miles away then meander their way back. It’s just a reality of the service used and a trade off we accept by virtue of getting cheap shipping.
@jbartus I know this. it and i know the exact route things from meh take. and how many days fedex sits on shit before the go backwards to the next location. i mean a snail could go quicker from Industry to here than FedEx.
I get cheap. If they gave us a 5 dollar option to ship UPS or USPS there are times i’d definitely take it.

I almost didn’t buy one this time around because of it, but looking at posts so far I’m glad I did.
@seraphimcaduto I guess my description got cut off and I can’t get the edit function to work; this was the previous fuko: there’s a used kids skateboard Star Wars wedge figure some flashcards and some dart blasters. The Used skateboard was the funniest part of it.
@seraphimcaduto well you got more than I did the last time I got one… so in comparison you got “lucky”, if one were to call it that. Mine earned the O if fuko that time. Like @Pantheist I almost didn’t buy as they have been going downhill for a while. So far these seem better. Of course they may have sent the best ones out first to heighten the disappointment of everyone else when theirs doesn’t measure out (grin).

I have this same watch. Eco Drive Stiletto. I love it. Sapphire face that’s never sustained scratches in the 2 years I’ve owned it, and the diamonds, albeit they are small, are real. Great haul!

Nice machine. It’s what I use when I use win. Which means it’s not patched for that networking prob, because I haven’t booted it in months. I have a nice Chromebook so that I can help Google track me more effectively, and it boots in 10 sec and has all day battery life.
Unfortunately the Dell shipped with Win8. So I went ahead and put 10 in it.
And I don’t boot it much, in part, because Google and Apple and various smartphone apps and the Russians and Chinese and N Koreans and the NSA already spy on me. Why should I help Microsoft join in?

Universal remote control with LCD screen. It seems a bit clunky to use, but with the TiVo remote dying this is actually useful.

A Dynamic Instant Eye Lift Kit. It comes with a scary looking syringe full of some mystery fluid. My eyes are high enough already, so that’s probably headed for the trash.

A bluetooth speaker the size and shape of a cantaloupe. It seems to work just fine, and makes me 2 for 2 on battery powered bluetooth speakers from Fukos.

Overall a pretty good haul. I can find a use for maybe half of the items in the Fuko and nothing was broken or exceptionally dangerous this time.
@jandrese those URC remotes are great. The Harmony line surpasses them in ease of use but before those were common I think the URC were the top of the line. They support macro programming so you can set a BluRay button up that will turn on the BluRay player, switch your input, preset volumes or picture modes, then drop you off in the BluRay control mode except with, say, volume punched through to your receiver. They will learn any remote so they can control protection screens or anything.
I used to do the programming work for a custom home theater place in town and set up all those macros for them, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen one because I haven’t done that for a few years. Seeing it gave me warm fuzzy feelings, though.
@jandrese The bluetooth speakers were $8 sold on Oct 1, 2014. Not bad (I bought some as presents). Loud enough. But they annoyingly beep at you as if it is a busy signal on a phone when the battery is getting low.
@natekimh not that I know of. The last two I got were not even really worth the $5 total crap and on the bottom of the pile - some people did get some nicer ones but it was pretty sparce. Overall the quality, if it continues, of this one seems to be somewhat higher. But then again we already know this before we buy. Sometimes you luck in but most of the time you don’t have any luck at all. LOL

So, I got the red fuko bag, a moo-ing meat thermometer, a pair of mediocre socks, a cake slicer/lifter, a pair of sunglasses with gum stuck to the bridge (that I immediately cleaned off and gave to my little sister(the glasses, not the gum)), two meh stickers, and a blockbuster DVD of do the right thing, which is a movie I have never seen but almost bought the other day, funny enough.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the stuff in this batch of fukos was spread out less evenly than in others?
-someone expecting a 1.9 lb fuko tomorrow, with extraordinarily low expectations
my previously excepted box arrived yesterday, and I swear while under FedEx’s watchful eye something fell out… the box was super light (1lb at best) and the tape on top had separated from the box leaving it free to shake something very meh out. In any case, included in my fuko was

1 pair of mediocre socks (so far my fave item here, mostly due to the label)

1 pair crappy sunglasses (straight to mom for Car Duty)

I do love the socks, so really I am happy enough with that but I wish I’d gotten a couple stickers. I like to emblazon things with “meh” labels wherever I go.

@crow So… I dug up an old USB Floppy drive, attached to my iMac, inserted the floppy disk… (what could be on this disk? An old text-based adventure game? An SE-30 operating system? A database of meh info? A virus? Racy 1-bit pics? All of the old-school possibilities danced in my head… and in typical meh fashion … the disk was blank
I got mine today. The box had clearly been crushed in transit and the tape was busted on one end. The contents were… lacking. From the size of the box vs the amount it was filled up, I’m guessing some things fell out in transit.

Of all the Fuko’s I received, probably the most meh, but that’s not a complaint, just a ranking. Of course, my expectations are never high.

My bag was pretty sparse. But I think Meh hates me or is trolling me. They included a 3.5 hard disk… like does it have the password and link to unlimited fukus on it or is it just a blank disk? He real question tho is… where the heck do I find a 3.5 hard disk reader now a days…

The first thing I saw when I opened the box was the sequined pillow. It went like this:

Note- the pillow does not come with “Meh” on it. It is a 2 color pillow. Run your hand over it one way, it’s silver. The other way, it’s black. I fucking love it. Sparkly things make me happy. Caw!

This was a pretty disappointing Fuko – even by Meh standards. This was also a late shipment Fuko. Not sure if Fukos are packaged all at the same time (or if they spread it out), but part of me is wondering if Meh ran out of stuff for the ones they sent out later.
In comparison to the arrival photos from last week, the ones posted recently seem disproportionally meh-er. Thoughts?
@heartny it was my first meh bag. contents 1/10, still would recommend. That was a week worth of excitement to lead to disappointment. Now I know how my exgf felt on prom night.

Mine was delivered to my PMB this afternoon while I was asleep. (I work graves) The placeholder weight never changed, so I will be appropriately braced for disappointment when I go to pick it up in the morning.

Then we have another watch, a metawatch, or perhaps it should be called a mehtawatch? No, not being (completely) snarky there’s an insert beneath the crystal of a meh face with a headset? Specially made for meh? Did folks in the warehouse get bored and broke out the jeweler’s toolset?
Finally, there’s something which I have absolutely no idea what it is… Looks kinda like a cross between a flashlight and a vibrator, but is called the BIOS 5.0BulletHD. Not sure how it works or if it works. I’ll have to google it, and hopefully have better luck than trying to figure out what that sunfax 1.0 disc was in the last fuko before I (wisely I’m sure) tossed it.
@ciabelle OK, so that last item is an action-cam… Sadly with nothing else to go with it, not even a battery… Not going to spend $20+ bucks on a replacement to find out if the thing even works. Nor was there a microSD card installed… So no living vicariously in the lives of meh staffers who may have shot test video… Perhaps the images were too scandalous and that flash needed to be destroyed?? Probably all for the best.
That Bullet is an action camera. Unscrew the back cap to expose a mini (or is it micro?) USB charging port and micro SD card slot. Hopefully you got some mounting gear with it, otherwise I guess you could duct tape it to stuff.

@Potatoboy Now that I’m looking back through the thread and seeing that meh is dumping Jason’s Eucopia inventory, you are right about what these are (assuming they’re about 3.5 inches long). They are the spoons to go with the sugar bowls like the one @carl669 got. Maybe you can go back through the thread and find everyone who got one of those bowls and send them one.
@DrunkCat my grandfather had a container like that with whiskey in it. You can turn it upside down and pour a bottle full into the top. Not sure what purpose it serves but I used to love to play with it as a kid.
I got a pair of meh socks, the moo moo thermometer, some Harley-Davidson porcelain hinged box, the ecopia flyer, and a Foscam.
Question about the Foscam, it’s obviously refurbished, which is to be expected, but it’s missing the antenna and power cord. It’s got a power cord, but it’s clearly the wrong one (doesn’t fit and wrong voltage anyways). Anything I can do about that? I actually would love to use it, but right now I can’t even hook it up
@theporschephile Does it state the voltage/amperage on the camera? You may be able to hit up a thrift shop and find the box of ac adapters and pick a winner for a buck or two. The antenna should also be a standard connection type but may be harder to find.

YAY! It came finally. Not a bad Fuko. The 2 pack of wireless cameras would have been nice a few months ago before I bought 2, but I’m sure these will go to good use, double the coverage now! Kids will love the reversible sequin pillow as well.

Were all those that have arrived thus far in the earliest Fuko batch? I was in the final (charred bag edition) and mine isn’t expected to arrived until mid-next week. Wondering if the Fuko-batch plays any part in how long it takes or what “standard” items seem to be included??

@Cerridwyn @Hskrjer99 Delivery times are vastly varied due to the nature of the shipping service Meh uses. Everything is shipped FedEx Smartpost which is a collaborative service with the U.S. Postal Service. In essence, FedEx delivers the parcel to the USPS distribution facility near you via the most economical route for FedEx, then the USPS takes it and brings it the ‘last mile’. Because of this it’s not uncommon for people to see things happen like packages being 30 miles away from their house before being trucked a further 150 miles away then meander their way back. It’s just a reality of the service used and a trade off we accept by virtue of getting cheap shipping.
@jbartus I know this. it and i know the exact route things from meh take. and how many days fedex sits on shit before the go backwards to the next location. i mean a snail could go quicker from Industry to here than FedEx.
I get cheap. If they gave us a 5 dollar option to ship UPS or USPS there are times i’d definitely take it.

Like @Pantheist I almost didn’t buy as they have been going downhill for a while. So far these seem better. Of course they may have sent the best ones out first to heighten the disappointment of everyone else when theirs doesn’t measure out (grin).

Dell Yoga Pro i7. Maxed out ram. $400-500 or thereabouts? During the period where this was the current release?
Nice machine. It’s what I use when I use win. Which means it’s not patched for that networking prob, because I haven’t booted it in months. I have a nice Chromebook so that I can help Google track me more effectively, and it boots in 10 sec and has all day battery life.
Unfortunately the Dell shipped with Win8. So I went ahead and put 10 in it.
And I don’t boot it much, in part, because Google and Apple and various smartphone apps and the Russians and Chinese and N Koreans and the NSA already spy on me. Why should I help Microsoft join in?
But it’s a nice machine.

In no particular order:
Overall a pretty good haul. I can find a use for maybe half of the items in the Fuko and nothing was broken or exceptionally dangerous this time.
@jandrese those URC remotes are great. The Harmony line surpasses them in ease of use but before those were common I think the URC were the top of the line. They support macro programming so you can set a BluRay button up that will turn on the BluRay player, switch your input, preset volumes or picture modes, then drop you off in the BluRay control mode except with, say, volume punched through to your receiver. They will learn any remote so they can control protection screens or anything.
I used to do the programming work for a custom home theater place in town and set up all those macros for them, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen one because I haven’t done that for a few years. Seeing it gave me warm fuzzy feelings, though.
@jandrese If you are interested in getting rid of the URC remote let me know.
@jandrese The bluetooth speakers were $8 sold on Oct 1, 2014. Not bad (I bought some as presents). Loud enough. But they annoyingly beep at you as if it is a busy signal on a phone when the battery is getting low.

@natekimh not that I know of. The last two I got were not even really worth the $5 total crap and on the bottom of the pile - some people did get some nicer ones but it was pretty sparce. Overall the quality, if it continues, of this one seems to be somewhat higher. But then again we already know this before we buy. Sometimes you luck in but most of the time you don’t have any luck at all. LOL

@smigit2002 A lot of the time they put full and queen together on blankets and stuff, which leads me to believe they are close in size.
Note that I haven’t done even the slightest research to confirm this so it could be completely wrong.

The Alien watch is really cool in a creepy kind of way. You’re supposed to wrap the tail around your wrist to wear it. The pearls are pretty. Nothing came with them to say anything about them. All in all, pretty satisfied with my first fukobukuro.

So, I got the red fuko bag, a moo-ing meat thermometer, a pair of mediocre socks, a cake slicer/lifter, a pair of sunglasses with gum stuck to the bridge (that I immediately cleaned off and gave to my little sister(the glasses, not the gum)), two meh stickers, and a blockbuster DVD of do the right thing, which is a movie I have never seen but almost bought the other day, funny enough.

my previously excepted box arrived yesterday, and I swear while under FedEx’s watchful eye something fell out… the box was super light (1lb at best) and the tape on top had separated from the box leaving it free to shake something very meh out. In any case, included in my fuko was

@crow So… I dug up an old USB Floppy drive, attached to my iMac, inserted the floppy disk… (what could be on this disk? An old text-based adventure game? An SE-30 operating system? A database of meh info? A virus? Racy 1-bit pics? All of the old-school possibilities danced in my head… and in typical meh fashion … the disk was blank
I got mine today. The box had clearly been crushed in transit and the tape was busted on one end. The contents were… lacking. From the size of the box vs the amount it was filled up, I’m guessing some things fell out in transit.

The first thing I saw when I opened the box was the sequined pillow. It went like this:

Note- the pillow does not come with “Meh” on it. It is a 2 color pillow. Run your hand over it one way, it’s silver. The other way, it’s black. I fucking love it. Sparkly things make me happy. Caw!

This was a pretty disappointing Fuko – even by Meh standards. This was also a late shipment Fuko. Not sure if Fukos are packaged all at the same time (or if they spread it out), but part of me is wondering if Meh ran out of stuff for the ones they sent out later.
In comparison to the arrival photos from last week, the ones posted recently seem disproportionally meh-er. Thoughts?

Then we have another watch, a metawatch, or perhaps it should be called a mehtawatch? No, not being (completely) snarky there’s an insert beneath the crystal of a meh face with a headset? Specially made for meh? Did folks in the warehouse get bored and broke out the jeweler’s toolset?
Finally, there’s something which I have absolutely no idea what it is… Looks kinda like a cross between a flashlight and a vibrator, but is called the BIOS 5.0BulletHD. Not sure how it works or if it works. I’ll have to google it, and hopefully have better luck than trying to figure out what that sunfax 1.0 disc was in the last fuko before I (wisely I’m sure) tossed it.
@ciabelle OK, so that last item is an action-cam… Sadly with nothing else to go with it, not even a battery… Not going to spend $20+ bucks on a replacement to find out if the thing even works. Nor was there a microSD card installed… So no living vicariously in the lives of meh staffers who may have shot test video… Perhaps the images were too scandalous and that flash needed to be destroyed?? Probably all for the best.

That Bullet is an action camera. Unscrew the back cap to expose a mini (or is it micro?) USB charging port and micro SD card slot. Hopefully you got some mounting gear with it, otherwise I guess you could duct tape it to stuff.

I got a pair of meh socks, the moo moo thermometer, some Harley-Davidson porcelain hinged box, the ecopia flyer, and a Foscam.
Question about the Foscam, it’s obviously refurbished, which is to be expected, but it’s missing the antenna and power cord. It’s got a power cord, but it’s clearly the wrong one (doesn’t fit and wrong voltage anyways). Anything I can do about that? I actually would love to use it, but right now I can’t even hook it up
@theporschephile Does it state the voltage/amperage on the camera? You may be able to hit up a thrift shop and find the box of ac adapters and pick a winner for a buck or two. The antenna should also be a standard connection type but may be harder to find.
