Fukobukuro 17: MEH-RATHON EDITION shipping thread (Take 2)

I know, I know. We already have a shipping thread for Fuko 17. Well too bad.

Anyways, since the mehrathon, I have been trying to track my Fuko by reference through FedEx.

I got a tracking number yesterday, and I was just notified that my Fuko arrived in Hutchins. ETA for delivery is next Thursday.

Anybody else who has been tracking by reference gotten notified that their Fuko was on the way?

- @cinoclav Well this is very odd…Looks like meh has retracted the shipping and transit it had shown… mine is now listed as processing. Huh? So who knows. Maybe take two will weigh a bit more so more will be in it? Maybe the sky will rain money?
  
  Actually based on the same shipping date and box size I’d bet the order I had after that for a family member’s birthday present got accidentally entered in my fuko order instead of crap in a bundle order and someone now fixed that error… so now maybe when it finally ships I will get a box, bag, tape AND something else in there (grin).

- @conoclav Dimensions updated, as is delivery date. Delivery is supposed to be EOD today (10.5.17). Package dimensions changed to 14x11x11 and 5.9lbs. Clearly not a roomba.

- It has now been sitting on a FedEx ground delivery truck waiting for a driver on Monday morning since 4am. Since I get my packages delivered at work FedEx skips the whole transfer to usps thing and delivers it direct with the dozen or so packages we get every morning.
  Fortunately there’s not much Meh could send me to give our FedEx drivers much pause (we regularly get 50lb boxes of ground coffee, weird shaped machine parts, and full 1/6th bbl kegs shipped from Hawaii)

- Too late to edit: Think I may have solved that. After the fuko I ordered something else for a family member’s birthday. Same box size. Shipped allegedly the same day. Bet that tracking number accidentally got entered into the wrong order, someone caught that mistake and fixed it.
  
  And that fuko thread has been changed to: “FedEx SmartPost: Monday, October 30th - Thursday, November 2nd” so unlikely mine had shipped and then gotten had the tracking number stripped due to being caught in the Bermuda Triangle (spell check had changed that to tragical LOL).
  
  I bet their order of crap from the dollar store warehouse is late so our fukos will be “late” (grin).

- @OldCatLady IDK Ive been to several of their sort stations, including the main hub in Memphis and it is mind blowing. They have spots on the belts where the package stops for mere seconds and it is weighed, a picture is taken and a laser thing takes the package dimensions. Now…ask me how often they calebrate their systems ??? No idea.

Unfortunatley, my warped-undersized-veil has been assigned a tracking number. Which means it’s actual dispatch from Meh is surely imminent. Probably even as soon as the end of next week or so!

I’m going to miss all the anticipation (dread?) for when it finally arrives.

Mine shipped today. Expected Delivery is 10/13… Friday the 13th… That being said normally it’s a few days before. Like I ordered the “bundle” and it shipped 10/3 and the deliver estimate is 10/10, but from where it’s at now, I expect to see the bundle on Saturday, or at least a day early on Monday. So I’ll probably get my Fuko on Wednesday or Thursday.

Mine seems to have been compressed almost in half between Hutchins FedEx and smartpost Dallas. It’s now 12x10x9, still 2.2lbs.

I’ll be at a conference next week so won’t get to open it until the weekend.

Lots of changes today. Looks like my package will deliver a day early (Wednesday) the weight updated to 4.4 lbs and the dims are now 18x15x14.

So I know it is not a pallet of vibrators I wonder what it is…

Well I spoke too soon. Apparently it left Ellenwood, GA last night around 7PM and arrived back in Ellenwood, GA today at 6PM… During its tour of the city, my package grew in size to 17x15x14. However, like all law-abiding citizens, it conserved its mass.

- @mehbee I’m actually in Birmingham, AL, no idea why it decided to tour Ellenwood. But it is on its way to my door today, two days earlier than initially scheduled, so I’m happy. It got a fun tour of a random city in Georgia, I get my random stuff two days early. That’s a win-win if I’ve ever seen one.

- @theporschephile So kind of you to call Ellenwood a city…lol…mine was supposed to be delivered tomorrow but is now saying that it’s being delivered today, not that I’m holding my breath. Nate came through and poured a bunch more rain in my yard which ran down my driveway and put some in ruts which will cause anyone except my main mail lady to run the other way. However my dogs are freaking out right now, so maybe someone is outside delivering me some happy, happy right this minute. I’m going to run and check! Congrats on your day early delivery and your well traveled, and therefore more sophisticated, Fuku(o?).

- @OldCatLady Nothing at the front door, so I’ll have to go down the driveway when I get a chance to see if they left it there. There was probably a deer in the yard that made the dogs bark. Most likely there is a “pick it up at the post office tomorrow” note. I did get one package, a new shirt that I ordered so the day is not a total loss. If I get lucky and it’s actually here, I’ll let you know.

Mine is now 14x11x10 and 2.1 lbs (down from 16x12x10 and 2.2 lbs - it lost a tenth of a pound in those 380 square inches!) It’s also now in Edison, which is a little further from NYC than Woodbridge Township, though it also claims it’ll get here by Thursday.

My delivery date changed to Friday the 13th and the package now weighs 6.1 lbs and is 17x15x14 in. I guess it will be a slightly larger disappointment than when it was the placeholder weight. Certainly not the Roomba I was seeking.
