So no way to differentiate boxes when they’re being prepared.

I set the watch last night and just checked it. It keeps time, at least over 27 or so hours. The date was only on the 20th but it could be 12 hours off, as it was the 19th when I set the watch.
@shahnm Sorry for interrupting I just heard due to the way batteries have advanced that refrigerating will no longer help in maintaining the charge or lengthening their expiration date. It was also noted that it would cause them to discharge faster. Now I have more refrigerator space, I need to figure out what to put in place of all those batteries I’ve kept for thex last 10 years. It’s hard enough trying to keep enough food for one person as it is, what am I saying who can afford food in this day and time. Hope I helped. Peace ✌ out

My shipping info updated from the placeholder, so I can say my fuko is 17"x15"x14" and 5.4lbs, with expected delivery on Tuesday, December 26.

So send your USPS coordinates to my Yahoo account and I’ll reply from my real email to let you know I got them.

What’s even sadder is I knew nothing about one again. Story of my life, a day late and a fuko short. Maybe one day I can sit here 24 hours a day to read all the post so I can try to get one myself, NOT…! My fuko has traveled and grown a little but alas, it has updated to be scheduled for delivery on 12/26. It had been scheduled for 12/23 up until overnight. It will be nice to have something to help with the after-Christmas recovery
My delivery bumped to 12/27 from 12/26… and is 17x15x14 with a weight just under 10 pounds. I already have that brand of steamer, in white, that I bought during Prime day last year. Works OK.

As a safeguard I put a small sign on the door that said to deliver all my packages (all? Frankly, it looks like the 1976 Mickey Mouse belt buckle was made into a paperweight - I can’t find anything else with the picture EXCEPT that belt buckle…

Unfortunately, as a vegetarian, I cannot eat the candy corn because it contains ground up pig hoof in the form of gelatin. There are candy corn brands without gelatin and they are yummy regardless of what others say about candy corn.

I got what everyone else got!
I got mine yesterday. No pics, but look at the first post. It’s exactly that with the edition of 2 USB Lightening cables for iPhones/iPads, the Leeloo action figure and the Wedge Star Wars figure. Nothing too exciting.
My mom wants to try the steamer on some Chair covers she has, and my dad has an iPhone and an iPad mini so he’ll get those. I’m sure I can use the USB Hubmen when I tinker with my electronics. So all in all, worth the $5.
Also, I already had the cow version of the thermometer. Just need the chicken and turkey to complete the collection.
Okay… so, I have a question. I have been coming here for a couple of yrs now. But I only check once in the morning after waking up (except once when a mehrathon (sp) was going) and have never seen the Fuko going on? Do they have it on the Meh page later in the day? Is there a different link to click on? How does one actually purchase this elusive, serendipitous, Fukobukuro ?

Well, I have a conundrum which has led to more meh than expected. The mailman puled up and said “hey, I have two boxes for you.” Then he went around to the back of his vehicle and said “you might want to check this one. It was open on one side when I got it so you probably should make sure everyrhing is in there.” I just thanked him and told him Merry Christmas as I know it wasn’t his doing. Now, I have to decide whether to continue with the plan to wrap it for Christmas before I check what is in it or just look since half the lid of the box is open anyway. What say the other Meh’ers?
@tnhillbillygal I had an open fuko once and the box was empty. Not even tx air left in it. Might be worth opening to see if it at least has the basics - the bag and at least a couple other items. If no then contact customer support. They sent me a bag and a “mini” replacement - less than what is usually in them, but that was better than 5 bucks for a totally empty box.
Well, I opened it as I couldn’t see re-sealing it just to open in a few days. plus, if I’m being honest, I kinda snuck a peek when I was looking at how it had opened. I am extremely pleased with what was in there! I was hoping for the thermometer and got two! A great first Fuko bag!

Well, yesterday I got an email notice mine was actually going to be here today, the 23rd. When the postal person came, he did not leave it… he did leave the slip to pick it up though… in my mailbox that was damaged overnight and on the ground.
Amazingly nice of him. So looks like it will be Tuesday before I find out what I got… besides a new mailbox post.

My uncles neighbor had his mailbox hit like that multiple times by some kids in their car. The neighbor complained to the police and they refused to do anything to the kids. After the 4th time, the neighbor dug a 6 foot hole, welded 1/2” stainless steel plate (I assume stainless as it never rusted for the 15 years that I saw it in the Cleveland area) to form the post and backfilled the hole with 5 feet of cement. After the kids wrecked the car on the mailbox, the police wanted him to remove the mailbox. The neighbor told them if they wanted it removed, then they could do it themselves. Turns out what he did was in fact legal; it took the city 30 years, changing the mailbox locations and a new side street to get rid of that mailbox.

At the least, it tells me who I’d like to know better.
Although tracking said mine would arrive Tuesday, it actually showed up today. YAY. Wow, my best Fuko ever I think! Many of the same items everyone else got, but one item no one else did. Package wasn’t scheduled to arrive until Dec 27, but actually came on Saturday the 23rd. A tip of the hat to smart post / USPS for once. ^^ Was really sick the past 2 days, so decided to wait to open it til today. (finally feeling better)
And finally… made in Japan ATH-A1000X headphones!
Box was pretty dusty and a little beat up. Opened it expecting the worst, but seemed brand new!!! (The red felt covered flimsy plastic inside made me laugh a little, as it looks nice visually but feels cheaper than something that comes with $10 headphones :P). Anyway these are incredibly comfortable for over the ear headphones & sound amazing in my limited use. I’m beyond thrilled!
A while back I was really down after buying a pair of headphones on Meh that broke after 2 weeks of very gentle use. The front of the box for those literally had the words “virtually unbreakable” in huge lettering mocking me. So it’s completely awesome to have received audiophile level headphones out of the blue like this for Christmas. Thanks Meh!!!

All in all one hell of a fuko box filled with meh goodness. The steamer meant that this fuko was wife approved, a first for the household l. Also have to say that the meh team shipped out a the missing fuko bag for my last fuko too.
I’m pretty jealous of the folks who got the Meh coffee cup though. That would have ended up being a prized possession in my house of non morning people.
@rrapnek I’m not going to lie, the meh coffee mug IS pretty sweet. Seeing that I’m not a morning person and my wife is, it’s the perfect thing to point to until the cup is empty.
Chiming in with basically the same junk as everyone else. Meh stuff, but the pursuit and anticipation was well worth it!

@phonorad I think my Fukijukipooky bag is the same as yours, except I also snagged a pair of stone cold legit Meh socks. I’m absurdly stoked to have a mini Leeloo Dallas Multipass figurine. I’m not usually one to keep such frippery, but she’ll be The Exception That Proves Yon Rule.

It was scheduled for the 23rd, but arrived the 22nd.
Everything but the Fuko bag went back in the box, and I added a bunch of other stuff from my first Fuko, prior Bags of Crap, and other miscellaneous goodies in my endless collection of garbage^H^H^H^H^H^H^H treasures. On Christmas day I took the box up to Mom’s and did a random drawing.
There was a wide range of pleased and/or puzzled reactions, and a lot of laughs. A few people swapped items after the drawing. (The one that surprised me most was a niece that traded the drone for a deck of mini playing cards.)

My Fuko bag-box from 12/4/17 arrived recently with the following:
Euphorie Diamond Infused Non Surgical Neck Lift – I may need a neck lift, but I am pretty sure this would be a ripoff if you had to pay for it. The box is moderately damaged. For 12 treatment pieces, the list price on their site is $299 and it is $60 on Amazon.
Cardinals football helmet design bowl, about 4 inches across. Am I allowed to use at times other than football watching (which is almost never).
Two plastic figures, about 10 inches tall, which I am embarrassed to say, I could not identify, but I found tags from Applause saying one is Wedge Antilles and the other is Prince Xizor of Star Wars.
A pair of socks with “A Mediocre Sock” woven into them. These will be useful. They sent us VMP members some a while ago as a gift and this batch has the same card they sent last time.
A PureSteam Portable Fabric Steamer. This may be handy, even at home.
And of course, a bright green bag with Meh and some Japanese characters printed on it.

So after spending over 72 hours in Phoenix and nearly 48 in Troutdale up to the scheduled delivery date, I expected it was going to be at least a couple more days going up to Kent, WA and back. Apparently FedEx decided they’d held onto it long enough and delivered it themselves on said due date. My mailbox failed to advise me on said fact the day after,m so I picked it up this morning 4 days after arrival…
It came with a very distinctive rattling of loose pieces… Uh oh! At least not the distinctive tinkling sounds of shards of glass as in the “I’m not a Robot” April Fool’s Fuku…
Inside were three air bags which were completely uninflated as if the shipping department discovered the air compressor wasn’t working and just said, “fuck it!” and tossed some in the box anyway…
Found a Korben Dalles doll, err I mean “action figure” which was separated from its cardboard backing, the plastic bubble, and apparently his gun and possibly a prism shaped object which is off-white and completely opaque… No idea if that’s where it’s from or if it belongs to anything else in my bag…
Also got four green USB hubmen… a ChefPals pig thermometer, a React sidekick personal safety system, and the portable steamer and green fuko bag which apparently everyone else got…
As for pics, my Pixel 2 decided to save half of them as video clips (thanks, but no thanks) so if you want to help me figure out what the opaque prism is all about click here!

I received similar items as the rest, and I got VMP socks even though I’m not mediocre at all.
The best item included in my Fukujuchinzstrap is the Leeloo “Multipass” Dallas figurine, who now attends my every move in the kitchen from her perch atop the range hood.
