FPV Thoughts?
0I really liked the Walkera iLook+, but since I already have a GoPro 3, I figured I'd try to work with what I already have, first.
Do any of you guys have experience with something similar to this VTX for GoPro3?
Looking to match this up with @ruouttaurmind 's suggestion on this VRX
TIA yo!

I'd be concerned that the VTX antenna would break to easily if you're using a gimbal. Also the GoPro and iLook+ as FPV are not the best if you're flying in an area that has a lot of lighting changes like the woods or abandoned buildings. However, using it with the VRX does work great if you're trying to see what you're filming with your GoPro or iLook+.
As for a good VTX that you're less likely to break in rough flying I went with this one that I'm also using on my 250 build. The other nice thing about using one not physically attached is that you can later add iOSD later for more details being displayed on your monitor/goggles.
@DJMajickMan Thanks man. I did see some reviews about GoPro having more latency than other cameras. I haven't tested "Live" myself. Found a cheap ASUS Android today that I think I can use as VRX monitor. Still feels like @ruouttaurmind's find on banggood a good bet.
FYI on $40 ASUS quad core tablet
@sportykev They also have the 8" tablet for $10 more, but in black rather than blue. Plus, the 8" has higher res front and back cameras.
@sportykev +1 on MajickMan's comments. Nicely compact option, but you have issues with the gimbal orientation, clearance of the fuselage, access to your ports, inability to add OSD...
For the GoPro I use this Boscam type transmitter. $15 delivered to my door.
@ruouttaurmind forgive my ignorance. But how does that attach to the GoPro?
@sportykev With a nifty little USB cable like this:
Or like this:
Or you can build your own cable like this:
