I got the polarized ones last time. They are better than the $50 "Police" brand from costco. They are not better than my Oakleys. I consider them just on this side of acceptable.
@givemeyoursoul yeah. I got them last time too. Was also shipped the wrong ones, but whatever. They are ugly enough i remember to keep them in the car, so i have glasses while driving.
@AttyVette a www meh edit link for post quit working..sigh -- tried changing but nooooo dice-- well no dice tonight for sure since sunglasses but u get the point
While I don't use this brand, I do use fishing glasses as daily sunglasses. They excel in all situations except for direct sun in your face. You get all of the features with a relatively low price point. They are especially great with road glare.
Seems like polarized sunglasses got super-cheap same time big screen smartphones and automobile infotainment systems became ubiquitous. Gotta cock my head ever so slightly to read the Uconnect screen with my oakleys. Not a bad with the Hobies. But still noticeable. Can only read my phone if it's turned landscape. The more expensive my phone/car, the cheaper my sunglasses need to be?
I'm in of course I work in fishing science field. Broke a ton of twenty dollars fishi g glasses these area little more upscale than those but not costas. The best pair ever was the original babe winkelmans. Only cost 12$ back in the day and would kill costas that cost 10 times that today. Sadly they changed those to make more money the lenses became crap and they started charging around 30 dollars for classes that were gas station quality.
The price comparison is Carp. I don't have to be part of a School to see they are Angling that price for those Swivel head Bobbers to Hook you and Reel you in. I'm not going to be Baited by the marketing Line and be someone's Chum. I'll just keep Trolling on and not be Anchored by this Sinker or be Lured by the Leader on this Casting Reel of lies.
We live near the beach & are CONSTANTLY on the water in the summer. I have Maui Jim's but I usually use them for driving and stick to nicer less expensive brands for the boat & beach. Flying Fisherman are overall a fairly decent brand to fit the bill & this particular model gets good revirews. This model is around $60 on most sites so I'm surprised at the amount of meh that's flowing about these. Maybe I'm a moron (always a strong possibility) or it's just a good fit for my situation. ;)

Ok, meh you're officially making me glad I cancelled VMP. Now I have to figure out new ways to make my wife angry with me...
@marvelljones yeah, like that takes alot of effort.
@rhandy amen to that!
@rhandy That was sarcasm. And my wife really loves it when I'm sarcastic ;)

@AttyVette Susan on this deal
If they were clip-ons then I might have taken the bait.
These will be perfect for fishing in Philly!

Meh is " fishing" for a sale tonight... That "IRKS" me!
@AttyVette shut your bass.
@AttyVette Catfishin' for a decent pun, eh?
Should of called them 'Gaming Glasses'. Would have sold ten times as many.
@Tin_Foil Cool story, brah. These are "clearly" for reading purposes only.
@mike808 where can I get that book?
@mike808 That book should have been the goat prize.
@robson http://www.amazon.com/Pet-Goats-Pap-Smears-Adventures/dp/0985710306 and illegal pdfs everywhere!
@mike808 that book is the GOAT!(Greatest of all time)

I'll just stick with my Vaurnets that I have had since the 80's.
And I'm going to keep rocking my Member's Only jacket, too!
They have side guards, so they may qualify as safety glasses at US FIRST robotics competitions.
I would guess they are designed to keep your eyes safe from wayward fish hooks, bait, and other fishing related hazards. (Spilled beer.)
They don't look sufficient for welding.
I,d buy them if the shark hat was part of the package.
shark hat

These are fugly but I'm tempted. Talk me down please. Maybe they'll sell out, but I doubt it since they are back again.
why is it (according to the chart) that the more expensive the glasses, the crappier the warranty ?
Will they fit fat heads comfortably?
Thought about getting them for my son in law, just for the halibut, but you guys talked me out of it.

Shady deal? Are these good for fishing for white eels in the Hudson river?
I'd buy 'em if they just costa fin.
Anybody know if these are comfortable worn over a pair of regular prescription glasses?
Buying 50 of these for my Guy Fieri cosplay legion.
This deal seems very fishy to me.
Desription says they're polycarbonate but are they ANSI Z87.1 rated?
