Fluorescent tattoo ink: genuinely cool or a little too gimmicky?

I was looking at a 14-color fluorescent tattoo ink set recently, and it got me wondering how people actually feel about this kind of ink.

The colors look pretty normal—just extra bright—in regular light, but under UV light they really stand out. I can imagine it working well for small accents, festival-inspired designs, or artwork that is meant to look different at night. At the same time, I’m curious whether most people would see it as something genuinely useful or more of a novelty.

For anyone here with tattoo experience: would you use fluorescent colors for a full design, or only for small details? What would matter most to you—how the colors look in normal light, the UV effect, consistency, or product documentation?

Genuinely interested in hearing what people think, including the skeptical opinions.
