The exterminator house/office from the show is right outside the entrance to a local lake we go to every summer. It always amazed me how much more impressive they make things look on tv/how much less impressive they look in person.
@djslack Wrong-o! It was near the corner of East Kings and Youree. Just looked up the house/office on streetview and you were right about not being impressive. I only ever saw one episode though (weird coincidence, it was an episode that featured my English professor having a beaver removed from his property. I was sick in bed and it was a very surreal moment because I wasn’t expecting to see someone I knew.)
@Moose oh no, I was pretty sure you had to be at that particular Sonic, it was my old Sonic of choice when I lived on that side of town. I just hitched my two trains of thought together in an unclear manner. I do this frequently.
Seeing your professor have a beaver removed on tv while home sick sounds like it could be hard to distinguish between real life possibility and fever dream
I searched a few months back and a local breakfast/lunch restaurant was advertising that Triple D had visited. While watching the video online, we found out that they didn’t actually visit the local restaurant, but instead visited their sister establishment.
The local one got decent reviews so we decided to check it out anyway. It was crazy busy, loud, and the food ended up being mediocre.
I’d rather spend half the amount at IHOP.
Sorry, don’t want to say what the name is since there’s only two restaurants and I don’t want to give away where I’m at.
There’s a barbecue joint near my company’s location in San Antonio that was featured on triple D. I love the place but in spite of Guy Fieri, not because of him. I try to go every time I’m down there, to the detriment of my finding other good places to eat around there.
(It’s Texas Pride BBQ outside of San Antonio, just east of China Grove).
I was in Vegas and went to Gordon Ramsay’s Paris. I saw Chef Christina crushing it in the kitchen and of course they had autographed menus with her signature and Ramsay’s.
Guy Fieri has been to a lot of restaurants in New York City, I’m sure; but in one particular case, he went to a Mexican restaurant not too far from me that made their own tortillas. Really, really delicious food, but since then they’ve shifted to only selling tortillas to businesses and not keeping a retail/restaurant storefront. Which is a shame, I miss their molcajetes. (A pile of taco fillings/fixings in a big mortar and pestle, with a side of fresh tortillas, to make your own as you go.)
Action Bronson (who runs “Fuck, that’s Delicious”, a show on Vice) is actually from my part of NYC. I haven’t watched a ton of the show, but I know he’s been to a Colombian bakery I really like.
The owners of a local chain of Belgian waffle trucks and stands beat Bobby Flay; the particular combination of toppings that did it is on their regular menu as “the Throwdown”. Not cheap, a whole lot of sweetness; I feel like the waffles used to be crisper before they started expanding across the city, too. But it’s tasty, and they’re regulars at the city holiday markets, which are a thing I love to do.
@Kawa I went to NYC couple years ago. It’s kind of sad, as my food list was longer than my tourist list. I want to go again and I’m going to put this on my list as well.
@Targaryen New York City’s restaurant scene is big enough to take up all possible tourist time, don’t even worry about it! Also many locals here, self included, spend a lot of time and energy eating all over the city. I hope you can come back and have some more tasty things; if you or any other Mehtizens want recommendations let me know.
One time I saw Billy The Exterminator eating at Sonic. Does that count?

@Moose
@Moose I saw one of the guys from Hoarders at a college basketball game.
@Moose I know where you were!

Sure lots.
Although a proud moment was when I made a cake for a friends birthday and Duff Goldman was also at the birthday party and complimented it.
@CaptAmehrican Nice! Get on the cake making show.
I went to Iron Barley in St. Louis because my sister saw it on Triple D.
Was it as good as the mayor said it was?
@mschuette
Buz from Buz and Ned’s Barbecue beat Bobby Flay.
@sammydog01 Nice. Was it good?
@Targaryen It’s really good- I love their ribs.I should go sometime.

@RiotDemon
You should edit your post. There might be enough information in it to geolocate you.

I don’t know.
No.
Never seen any of guys shows, but I have been to 3 restaurants by accident that he has been to. 2 of which I have been to before he went to.

@reclaimercube She was one of my favorites on Hell’s Kitchen.
@sammydog01 she’s fierce from seeing her in person
Guy came to my home town here:

Ya, the guy with the white spiky hair was at some chili place in Seattle that I’ve been to. I went later and thought it was fine. Whatevs.

/youtube bring it on down to flavortown
I purposely visited Sam’s #3 in downtown Denver because Guy was there previously. Does that count? PS It was amazing.
