So when I thought I was going to be able to get that flask tattoo, I discovered that there’s an old design for a Meh BUBBLY flask. And that was tempting. But am I a bubbly flask? Or a cracked flask?
@ircon96@sammydog01 I have the bubbly shirt. Love it. Would definitely want the bubbly flask tattoo. Though beaker would also be neat for my own enjoyment.
Cracked flask for me. Although when people ask me about it, I say it is a lightning bolt and represents the power of science. I’m a teacher, so no one bats an eye. I’m just waiting for a fellow Meh person to call me out on it someday. Someone did tell me it looks like a martini glass upside down. I’m okay with that, too.
@gogrrl@Kyeh@xobzoo Hey, great minds! I was going to say, if Meh ever pisses her off enough to want to get rid of the tattoo, she could have it turned into HP!
Some days I’m bubbly, some days I’m cracked. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Of course I love an Erlenmeyer flask as much as the next person - but what would a good lab movie scene be without Friedrichs condensers, retorts, Florence flasks and even the humble beaker? Embrace glassware diversity!
@mehcuda67 ironically, chemistry was my least favorite science (no outstanding teachers). But I do like the bubbly/cracked metaphor. Maybe a bit of both, with the understanding that the acid would be leaking out if you’d avoided cracking the flask.
@brainmist@mehcuda67 I had mixed feelings about chemistry. I really liked my high school chemistry teacher, she was the sweetest older lady, maybe that’s why i enjoyed her class. Well, the lab part, anyway… Must have been partly her & partly all that beautiful glassware!
Going to join the Cult of Erlenmeyer, huh? Well, welcome! I can’t even get official jackets or pins made so this is a good alternative.
Is there a pic of the bubbly one?
@ircon96
@brainmist @sammydog01 Thanks, that’s cute! I think I’m a bubbly one. That’s a sentence i never thought I’d say!
@ircon96 @sammydog01
Haha - same here. Maybe it’s because I like sparkling water.
@Kyeh @sammydog01 Maybe… I’m more of a Fresca kinda gal, but i suppose that’s KINDA like sparkling water, if you squint hard enough. Lol

@gogrrl Lightning bolt, I like that.

@mehcuda67 Never mind the rest of those, what would any movie be without retorts?

@Kyeh @mehcuda67 @xobzoo Captain Holt!! Man, i miss that show.

@brainmist @ircon96 @mehcuda67 My favorite glassware was a Soxhlet extractor. I could watch it all day.
/giphy chemistry rocks
@mehcuda67 humble beaker…
Looks like he got today’s deal
@brainmist @mehcuda67 @sammydog01 Don’t you mean petrology rocks?
I’m the cracked bc that’s the shirt I actually bought. I say it’s for my stupid/brain dead moments.
Is this where we request a reprint? Doesn’t even need to be the original color scheme.
