First meh experience is meh
1Bought the Braven XXL last week. It arrived today, missing the shoulder strap; packed in a box with essentially zero padding; and it was shipped with some sort of very used third-party charger that doesn’t push enough juice to charge this speaker. Since the battery is dead, I’m unable to turn it on to see if it even works (starting to have my doubts about that . . . .). I’ve emailed customer service, but I’m pretty disappointed. I’m hoping this is not typical of most people’s experience with meh??

As I said over here, they never said that the shoulder strap would be included.
That aside, there’s an ongoing discussion in the product thread which you could take a look at.

And with THAT aside, usually Meh is great with resolving these issues
.
I’d advise you to keep an eye (preferably both) on the product thread to see what happens.
@zhofstad and check your junk email in case their email to you ends up there.
Yep, I was wrong about the strap. But it’s pretty disconcerting to see other people having these same issues with the packaging and charger, not to mention that some of the speakers that shipped clearly weren’t tested and/or were damaged in transit. Not a good look for meh.
@zhofstad And meh used to be such a pretty young thing.
@zhofstad You think Meh should test stuff they buy before they ship it? Okay… I expect the note from Braven is a failure to communicate that CS will fix.
@sammydog01 They’re on the hook for shipping faulty products. Either they test it, or they bend over backwards to make it better and then take Braven out behind the woodshed.
@sammydog01 @zhofstad
I don’t think mediocrebot bends that way.
/giphy bend your bot

@zhofstad Packing things well is, on occasion, not their forte but if something is sent and is broken they, in my limited experience, fix the situation. They generally take several days (that would be M-F days) to get back to you.
congrats and welcome
