Rain shell. I wear a really nice Arcteryx under layer jacket with it when it’s cold and rainy. For warm against-the-skin underwear I highly recommend high quality 100% merino wool. Soft, warm but breathes, doesn’t hold moisture against your skin, just the best stuff ever. But…be ready to shell $$$ for it. When I bought a long sleeve Sugoi jersey probably 12 years ago it was $100. I still have it. Buy once cry once.
I used to love being outside as a kid. Now that I’m a grumpy old man,⁽ᶜᶦᵗᵃᵗᶦᵒⁿ ⁿᵉᵉᵈᵉᵈ⁾ I prefer staying indoors. It’s not as healthy, but it’s usually more pleasant.
Well unless it’s under about 45 Fahrenheit I don’t need an outer layer. If it is above that I’d really chose a cloak or a cape
