FYI, I bought one of these toothbrushes on Amazon in July, sold under a different brand name but 100% identical product. Lasted 6 months before the on/off button stopped working. That company is of course nowhere to be found now, so no warranty, but I’d seen someone else complain about Fairywill’s alter egos. Buyer beware. (Just noticed there’s only a 90-day warranty on these. Good luck!)
@haydesigner there a small removable water tank as part of the handle of the waterpik. It holds about enough for one person to floss. I make sure mine is empty after every use because I don’t trust my kids not to play with it.
Wow, I was dealing with NFT* shit on twitter, and missed this. Where is @yakkoTDI? Asking because he is the only person who gets the kind of hate I do too!
Just minted a shitty photo of me on the @Ethereum blockchain to make a point. DM me if you want more info.
@mcanavino Yeah it agree it seemed really odd that an obviously surplus bargain-grade device like this would have USB-C. A proprietary DC connector is much more likely – meaning two different kinds of special cables you have to keep around. No USB-C to be “C”-een.
So we’ll give the writers an “F” for accuracy this time. Or maybe “F” for “Fail”
@Commonwealth109 Well, dental hygienists use the same system with a pressurized water jet – however, it’s much more advanced with ultrasonic pulses and also it’s controlled by someone who is trained and is looking into your mouth (yechh!) and presumably (hopefully) knows what they are doing.
The consumer ones, even the “name” brand, just use crude rotary pumps and provide slow pulses of water. Sure, you can turn up the pressure on some of them, but that’s just likely to injure your gums if you are just poking around in your own mouth.
So the concept of a “Water-pik” (original name brand I recall from the '70s I think) is valid, but now it’s evolved into an advanced medical tool that is used in dentist’s offices, and a much lower-quality water pulser for consumers that is basically not substantially different from the Water Pik of the 1970s. (except now they come in these portable versions).
I would like to point out that this is likely a disposable toothbrush with the possibility of adding noxious batteries into our waste stream. Electric toothbrushes (and off brand air cleaners) are “single use” if you cannot purchase the consumables. As a Boomer, I remember fighting for environmental causes to reduce our waste products to keep potentially toxic materials out of land fills. I have shifted my attention to climate change, but toxic, growing landfills are still a thing.
I think somebody in marketing said “let’s design a toothbrush that Darth Vader would use”… Not that it matters what Darth Vader’s teeth look like because he’s always wearing a covid mask and face shield.
My best friend’s wife has a FairyWill flosser. Loves it. Has used it for years with zero issues. So I bought one for about $18 during Black Friday sales, to use when I travel somewhere. IF I travel somewhere. Sigh.
I bought just the toothbrush FW-507? long ago and love it. Yes, the toothbrush has a barrel to USB cable that looks unique. Still, after 2 years I still love it and the battery seems to last a very long time.
I just got this Fairywill Electric Toothbrush. For the life of me, I can’t find the flosser attachment. Did the Fairy stole it or what? Where can I find it? Please answer anyone!
Bought this and used both. Really like them both. Best part, the water flosser makes a most excellent indoor water gun to soak my 10 y/o who has never seen such a contraption. Today, I was victorious.

@yakkoTDI Bucky Beaver!
Obligatory where’s the mehrathon comment.
I think there are far less of us upset by that than you might believe.
@mexicantacos Dude! You took my first comment… but yeah, exactly. Where in the world is @yakkoTDI anyway?
What is the battery chemistry on these?
Wow, this is actually a great price for both of these. I just got a waterpik flossing brush, but if I hadn’t I’d be in for one.
@btwonder I just got a waterpik too!
@btwonder With Waterpik, you can get customer service. With this company, you may not even get an automated reply to an email.

@fondaporn Fare thee well, Fairywill…
So… how does a cordless water pik actually work, anyway?
@haydesigner there a small removable water tank as part of the handle of the waterpik. It holds about enough for one person to floss. I make sure mine is empty after every use because I don’t trust my kids not to play with it.
It seems small, so I’m less than convinced. But… fuck it, I’ll try it.
@haydesigner Butt… fuck it? Oh. Sorry. I read that wrong.
Kids play with water. Go figure!
I don’t want this & I don’t need this. But I might buy it if Meh would change the awful color of the page.
Fairywill? No Fairy won’t!

@haydesigner It worked! Your order number is: gleeful-fierce-bobcat

Always with the sonic toothbrushes, never the sonic screwdriver. Feh.
Wow, I was dealing with NFT* shit on twitter, and missed this. Where is @yakkoTDI? Asking because he is the only person who gets the kind of hate I do too!
The pictures! Are we playing chess or brushing teeth here?
@fuzzmanmatt Yeah I also first saw it as the King and Queen of Dentia and their support pieces.
Fairywill??? Anybody???
Odd that it says
but the photo shows 2 different cables, one looks like it might be USB-A to USB-C, and the other is USB-A to a “barrel connector” (round metal thing).
And in any case they need to plug in to a standard USB-A charger (the old kind), not a USB-C.
@pmarin I don’t think that’s even a C - it looks like a female two barrel custom connector for one of the devices with the single male for the other.
As your said both are USB A.
@pmarin Oh, you mean those adapters that were on sale yesterday? Great timing Meh, albeit in reverse…

I didn’t know that waterpik type implements were still a thing. I haven’t even seen or heard of one since the powered toothbrushes became so popular.

Good job on the Meh face today.
It’s a toothbrush that looks evil.
I think somebody in marketing said “let’s design a toothbrush that Darth Vader would use”… Not that it matters what Darth Vader’s teeth look like because he’s always wearing a covid mask and face shield.
@OnionSoup Darth was way ahead of his time.

@SylvreKat Can you hear hers from the bedroom?
Bought one of these last year…it stopped working the day after the one year warranty and the company wouldn’t do anything. Just fyi
I bought just the toothbrush FW-507? long ago and love it. Yes, the toothbrush has a barrel to USB cable that looks unique. Still, after 2 years I still love it and the battery seems to last a very long time.
Fairywill - is this the Tooth Fairy?
I’m going to be really upset if this doesn’t come with a Shrödingers Toothbrush t-shirt. Size XL. Just sayin.
I just got this Fairywill Electric Toothbrush. For the life of me, I can’t find the flosser attachment. Did the Fairy stole it or what? Where can I find it? Please answer anyone!
@sugar27 Did you contact customer service?
Or I guess it’s called support; click on the question mark in the upper right corner.
Got waste of money, return procedures impossible. scrap at best
