Endgame:The Calling
2Meh fellow readers,
Is anyone else out there reading this just released book in hopes of decoding the puzzle? So far (page 7), its barely reached meh standards of medoocrity for writing. Then again, with a half mil prize attached to it, I guess the writing doesn't have to be great. Also, James Frey wrote the Lorien Legacies under the pseudonym Pittacus Lore? I missed that memo. Finally, is this just a really long con? The book that inspired this trilogy had a puzzle that took 3 years to solve....and that was in the late 70s!?!?!?!?!?

I'm an Ingress player and am reading the books (and will play the game when it is released). I'm a dork.
@joshaw ENL or RES? I play as well... in TTexas. From what I gather endgame will be a completely new game...do you know anything different?

@joshaw Word. I'm ENL in Texas. Started in July. L8 now. Sweet agent name by the way. I'm esco5. Not sure how I'll find you but I'll try. Do you have any cryptography skills to assist with solving the "book"?
@escowhat I have a limited knowledge of simple encryption (atbash, ROT, etc) but know I have no actual shot of solving the serious ones. I'll still try for fun though. Did I mention that I'm a dork? ;-)
@joshaw we play Ingress...definite dorkland...Although none of my friends can believe I play like I do. Its awesome. I have no real cryptography skills myself...I'm still in the early parts of the book. They can't make it so hard that only elite academics can solve it...but not so easy that Jaywalking Joe gets it either...
@escowhat I think they'll make it so it takes years to solve. And nicely done on leveling up to 8, the game gets better at 8. I'm L14 and started in April, probably won't really attempt to get the higher levels unless I get really lucky with a guardian (which, I have no good ones left right now).
