@Aznatural1@boygenius1991 On the contrary, there’s a reason why performance clothing is made from polyester. While cotton generally ‘breathes’ better, polyester does breathe and wicks away moisture. Cotton will absorb moisture and become even hotter and less comfortable over time.
No plastic based fabric “breathes”. Unless it is knitted in a web with holes in it.
Just because they make performance fabric from polyester, it does not change that. My understanding is that it is because it does not absorb moisture (the choice in plastic), and that is it.
@bduncan That’s exactly the point - there are fine holes in a polyester knit which allows it to ‘breathe.’ While it may not be in the same sense as cotton, it still does the job.
@cinoclav sure, but that does not mean “polyester does breathe” Polyester does not, unlike cotton and other natural fibers. That is why in most cases natural fiber is more comfortable than plastic ones in everything from clothes, to bedding. Especially from a heat management perspective. I can even tell a difference with socks that are only 20% polyester/80% cotton. Compared to 100% cotton.
I have a Khaki one from last time on my bed now and it’s great! It’s warm but breathable and the fur from my 2 dogs that sleep on it when they think my back is turned washes right off. In for another!
@MoonByte5 is it good for summer nights? I’m hoping it doesn’t feel too plasticky being microfiber but i’m also looking for a comforter thats less hot than what i have lol. Thanks in advance!
@placecm it doesn’t feel plasticky at all to me. I sleep under an air vent though so it’s usually not sweltering hot. Plenty cozy without smothering though - I used it all summer. Hope that helps!
@chronocaptain@MoonByte5 good to know, well for this price i risked it. I have a full size cover for winter but i wanted an inexpensive king size so for this price and these reviews why not lol. Thank you!
@Joy823 Nooooo way but the others I tried with /giphy I didn’t really understand them. I’ll have to tell the wife we will be having a guest when the shipment arrives. I’m not sure if she’ll be thrilled or scared. Hopefully for my sake it’s the latter!
hotel comforters…while i sleep under only a comforter at home, in a hotel it’s the one thing i sleep without. it usually has more in common with a waxed tablecloth than a comforter anyway, and i was under the impression these don’t get laundered regularly. but perhaps that’s an old wives tale, i don’t know.
anyway, just got a second comforter at xmas so none for me please. but i do like that it comes in black.
They look similar - if not the same. I bought one last time and love it. Washes great, is not too hot in summer and with a blanket it works well in winter. My little dog loves it too I bought a king for a queen bed and it hangs off the bed as pictured. A little shy on the side.

But I just don’t care…
yuck, polyester
@boygenius1991 You’re not wearing it, you are under it.
@boygenius1991 @radi0j0hn polyester is hot, unbreathable, sweating, overly warm, not comfortable. Comforters should be airy and breathable…comfortable.

All plastic based fabric, sucks generally.

I have a ‘friend’ who’s had a few ‘Hotel Room Comforters’ when he as in Vegas. None of them were $18-$26.
So this is good deal!
@wew but did your “friend” sleep well?
Blankets? Jeez, this isn’t goofy, useless, or bullshit! You’re giving me deal whiplash, Meh.
But I’m not at the hotel!
I thought microfiber wasn’t measured in thread count?
The joke picture explains a few things…
I have 2 of these from about a year ago - they’ve held up pretty well. Couldn’t get the grey last time, so, in for one of those.
ProTip: If you have a queen size bed, get the king size. You’re welcome.
@ThatsHeadly What if I have a king?
@D_a_v_e @ThatsHeadly Get the ace size.
@ThatsHeadly thank you!
@D_a_v_e @Rowsdower @ThatsHeadly Always have to have some Jokers.
If it does not have stains of unknown origin, it’s just not the same.
Where’s the light blue pics?
@notsofancy
@PlacidPenguin thanks so much.

@MoonByte5 @placecm I had one from last time and I love it. It’s super soft actually, and not at all smothering.

HATE microfiber.
@Skotyman Me, too!
This is terrible, bring back the name tags. I didn’t get one and I’m sad.
@DomoPants they’ll be on morningsave.com in a few days no doubt.
@AiraCobra sold out, so probably not.
Can I roll myself up like a burrito?
Hotel bedbugs included?
@jerue Sorry sold separate but if you buy now you might get a few bags of Texas air for free

I wasn’t expecting the governator. I king size Navy Blue coming up.
@hey_zeus That’s scary! Are you sure you want that in your bedroom?
@Joy823 Nooooo way but the others I tried with /giphy I didn’t really understand them. I’ll have to tell the wife we will be having a guest when the shipment arrives. I’m not sure if she’ll be thrilled or scared. Hopefully for my sake it’s the latter!
Got these for $19 on Groupon…any size…a couple of weeks ago. They are nice.
I needed another comforter like I need a set of matching shams to go with it.
Light blue doesn’t appear in the color dropdown for any size even as a “sold out” color.
In for a white one. Been looking for a good summer comforter and the amazon reviews sold me.

@jerk_nugget I just watched a hotel secrets video, there was a hotel employee that said to not ever touch those.
@jerk_nugget @RiotDemon UV light not included.
@growyoungagain @jerk_nugget
/youtube dan bell another dirty room
I’m not planning any hotel stays, can I use it at home?
@DennisG2014 Not until you apply for a business license and start renting out your rooms.
Are these the same ones that have been variously sold over the last year, such as ?
