Someone needs to invent a robot vacuum that cleans out the inside of other robot vacuums after they get hair and stuff stuck in the rollers. Now THAT would be convenient!
I have the lesser version of this that doesn’t mop but I like it a lot for my small apartment. It doesn’t learn your layout at all and bumps into stuff quite a bit, also it gets tangled easily. Just remove cords from the ground, turn it on and return home to nice clean floors. Definitely recommended.
Are you kidding me? I bought into the last robotic offer and it was and remains worthless. Ok if you have a completely empty room, but if you have any furniture it will find the furniture and get stuck or go in circles over and over and over and over and over and…
I wonder how many people resorted to clicking “Man I’m old” because they were too ashamed to admit that “I only know who Taylor Swift is from that list.”
Christmas present for my husband. Accomplishes 2 goals: 1) stop his bugging me (about buying one of these anyway) and 2) get him to help. Realize both will last an equal 3 days.
We bought an Ecovac a few months ago. It’s the third robot vacuum we’ve had and it’s the best by far. Much quieter, performs well, and the mopping function is actually decent! This is a sweet deal. Oh and the customer service from Ecovac is amazing. They sent me a new brush free of charge simply because mine had so much dog hair tangled in it.
@HELLOALICE in my opinion it’s a steal at this price. I bought a similar model for $200 and thought that was well worth it. It won’t take off heavy residue but if you mop it once by hand and then use the mopping function on the Deebot daily it will keep it very clean. It takes up muddy paw prints which is the majority of what I like about it plus any other normal stuff. The nice thing is it mops while it vacuums which is pretty sweet in my opinion. I know I probably sound like a damn salesman but this thing is awesome. We had a Neato for a couple years which we loved until it died on us. Their customer service was worthless. This thing doesn’t have the sophisticated mapping technology that my Neato did but it still seems to cover everything.
For those who are really interested in the mopping capability, be warned that this cannot be charged with the mopping reservoir attached. So you can’t use this for daily scheduled mopping unless you manually remove the reservoir, charge the bot and reattach the reservoir. Sounds like a PITA if you ask me and I’m glad I checked first.
@uscpsycho i need some automated cleaning solution for my 2bedroom apartment, I searched about feature “mopping” after your word. Actually i already ordered one, so, i don’t know if it is best price/feature i can get
@javi1000 It is. You could pay more for one without the possibility to wet mop at all. I may go full rebel and see what happens if I try to charge it with the wet mop attachment still on.
I have to say that this thing exceeded my expectations. I say that to say I didn’t expect to use the wetmop functions… Anyway this thing does a great job picking up pet hair and working its way around the house. I like that it can sense most large obstacles unlike the lower end Roombas that have to slam into everything.
Unfortunately I find it completely idiotic that the charging base has no way of being secured to the wall and the rubber feet are not made to grip on the floor. 50% of the time the robot pushes the thing sideways when starting up. The other 50% of the time it knocks it around while cleaning. I guess doublesided tape to stick it to the baseboard is the solution.
Is this going to come around again? I’d buy 2 more for my house (basement and upstairs), and probably a few as gifts for the family. I cannot believe how much stuff this has picked up in the first week, and we vacuum every week.

This deal sucks!
@yakkoTDI
@yakkoTDI I’m really tempted to update your username to "ThisDeal"
ಠ_ಠ
@yakkoTDI
@yakkoTDI wow… didn’t see that coming…
@Thumperchick Do you think that’s what the “TD” in @yakkoTDI’s ID means? Um, maybe@YakkoThisDealInsult?
@sligett TD = Turbocharged Direct
@yakkoTDI
@sligett In many countries, TDI is a registered trademark of Volkswagen AG.
Going to Dee Boot this thing right outta here!
Wait a minute, they have robot vacuums now??
And Ernie Kovacs makes them?
/youtube ernie kovacs
@awk Even they cannot get past the captcha.
@awk What I thought when I saw the brand name!
(Not that we are showing our age.)
What’s the cat capacity of this?

@hafner but who would clean the robot cleaning robot?
@katylava Well if they build a robot to clean that robot … and another robot to clean that one … and another to …
Speaking of things that really suck,
@Brasssong Your mom?

What I said 6 years ago still stands. As soon as I clean up my place, I’m buying one of these.
(Hang in there Mr. Meh)
The DB3G is a lame model number. A better one is the SuckMaster 3000. Sorry, the DoucheBag 3000 was already taken.
Not good robot, nor vacuum. Not logical - Spock
My wife hires a maid to vacuum. Can the DeeBot have a conversation? Spanish is a plus.

Is low file carpet a thing?
Maybe Low PILE carpet?
@Euniceandrich Upon further research - I won’t blame Meh for that one. Looks like they copied it right from Ecovacs Spec Page for the M81
@Euniceandrich You know we have a scapegoat we can blame instead, right?

Until someone can assure me it won’t get stuck while humping table legs, I’m not buying anymore automated bots
@jimbeam
/giphy leg humping robots
@jerk_nugget but I thought you should never feed them from the table???
@chienfou learn from our mistakes. i no longer have to break up fights between them, but now i have to buy 33% more corn chips.
Welcome to the club, pal.
I wonder how many people resorted to clicking “Man I’m old” because they were too ashamed to admit that “I only know who Taylor Swift is from that list.”
Sigh, it’s the end of an era. No more candy corn combos. We should all be thankful Meh did not buy 5 tons of Marshmehlow Peeps.
@sligett Stop giving them ideas!
@sligett At least I like Peeps
@conand19 Hmmm - do you like the salted caramel Peeps or the pumpkin spice Peeps? (shudder)
@conand19 I would image you would not like Peeps 50 pounds later.
HA… Just wait until it runs over crap and drags it all throughout you house. Amazing!
@Erocker80 Aren’t these robovacs housebroken? That’s the first thing I teach my pets.

@mbills2223 this alone is potential reason to buy it. I don’t mind sweeping and cleaning, but it would be nice to not have to do it…how nice, though?
$144 nice?
I don’t know

Dee Bot
and “D” Batteries sounds like someone with accent saying ‘the batteries’ /demetri martin
Is the only difference between this and the Pro model the WiFi?
@uscpsycho Yep

@uscpsycho you want to buy $300 worth of robot for $150 ?
@javi1000 Yes.
@uscpsycho i am in market for vacuum robot, you saying to wait more ?
@javi1000 Not if this has the features you desire, seems like a good deal. I need a bot that’s more practical for mopping than this one.
@ohhwell I did that, and it has no problems to charge with mop attached to it. But I don’t understand why manual says take it off before charging
@javi1000 Good to know. Perhaps an overabundance of caution and fear of a lawsuit if the water were to leak out or something?
I have to say that this thing exceeded my expectations. @ohhwell I used some 3M Velcro Command strips and that seems to be securing it pretty well. That has the advantage of being semi-permanent.
Is this going to come around again? I’d buy 2 more for my house (basement and upstairs), and probably a few as gifts for the family. I cannot believe how much stuff this has picked up in the first week, and we vacuum every week.
@Yelnic the M82 is up on home.woot until midnight.
