@sportykev, IIRC, it was $99 during their Chinese New Year sale. Check their emails for discount codes. 6% is pretty typical for them on R/C stuff.
I only have two doubts on this one:
The low display resolution, but let's face it, we're not playing Words With Friends here, we're flying. So super-sharp hi-rez IPS display isn't necessarily a huge advantage. As long as it's bright enough to see outside, you'll be ok.
The battery life is a ??? unknown quantity. But since it takes a common battery that's easily replaced, that's not a huge deal either.
Dunno Kev, for a hundy and change... you'll probably get that much value out of it. If the DVR works well, and the display is bright, I'd say it'd be a winner even at $130.
BTW, did you price it out on Aliexpress yet? I just ordered an FPV cam today and saved 20% off the BG price for an identical item. Not that big a deal when you're spending $10, but in the $100 range, the savings start to be real.
@ruouttaurmind thanks for your take. I haven't seen the same item on Ali. And the 40ch units with DVR cost 10s more than this preorder. I have yet to receive a coupon from BG. Only discounts on doll houses WTF?! Lol
