@f00l Let’s not forget the cottage cheese and sour cream. Of course that’s just the dairy fridge. I keep my batteries and neoprene in the charcuterie fridge.
Everything of value I owned and every sentimental photograph and everything else sentimental got stolen when I moved recently. If the place burned down now I’d take my computer and cats. There’s nothing left.
@Kidsandliz That sucks man. That happened to me when I was single and quite young. A long time ago. They even stole my boa constrictor and his habitat. But… it does become a distant memory.
@lseeber@tinamarie1974@moondrake Thank you. I still get angry about it at times. If it was just expensive things I wouldn’t be as angry. It was that much of it was sentimental. My great grandmother’s earrings, my grandmothers’ things, photographs, things I had bought in each country I had visited/lived in, the stuff I was keeping after I culled my few collections…
@lseeber I can’t believe they stole your snake!!! It is when things like this happen I wish karma was real.
@Kidsandliz lol… I know. I always hoped it fared well. Dunno 'bout karma but… reaping what you sow is real! Hopefully they come to their senses before it’s reaped tho. The thing that really bothered me about the snake wasn’t so much the snake but… my dad had been through a horrible time and his therapy during that time was building the habitat for the snake and it was really great… and meaningful to me. But… c’est la vie.
My computer setup and associated accoutrements cost me the most, but since most are refurbs or otherwise years out of date, I’d say I have nary a thing requiring such a security system.
i think we have nice things, but i think most people looking at an apartment full of ikea furniture and toys might disagree. that’s okay though, because our apartment isn’t for most people
R U Sirius?
Given that the CEO knows what we’ve bought, both before and now …
Who in the right mind would want to raid our fridge full of batteries, stockpiles of neoprene cases, and everything Bluetooth?!?
@narfcake
@ruouttaurmind prob wants your fridge contents so that his American cheese and cream cheese and butter will have some company.
And with he might need the batteries for his eventual artificial heart.
@narfcake He’ll get the remaining boxes of my Ziploc stash over my cold, dead body. That reminds me, meh buyers, please go find some more bags.

@support (@thumperchick?) - looks like a typo in the poll: my guess is it meant before the “flood” instead of before the “floor”
@Andrew_B
Situation Normal, All Fucked Up.
You should go count the typos in yesterday’s poll, if you are in need of light amusement.
@Andrew_B ooh, @narfcake can you fix typos?
@RiotDemon I’m only a VolMod! I don’t have that much power!
@narfcake
Nor do you want that much power, Padawan.
Power leads to hunger for more power.
Hunger for more power leads to ruthlessness.
Ruthlessness leads to consuming the breakfast octopus.
@f00l Sounds about right!
@f00l I want to give you 100000 stars for this.
@Andrew_B
To be fair, the floor is made of lava.
Tons of speaker docks
Do the batteries in my refrigerator count as nice things?
@shahnm
Oh Yes. They do.
@f00l @shahnm are they AAAs? If so then definitely.
Unfortunately after a recent move and jaunt on crutches chaos is reigning
The only “nice” things I have are related to my PC.
not enough
With a careless teenager and a wife who gives anything decent to her family… NO!
Do you own nice things or… how to attract burglars.
Homey don’t play that game.
@lseeber In Living Color was sooooo politically incorrect back in the days …
/youtube Homeboy shopping network
No, because cats. Sold all of my good jewelry when money got tight. So…
Everything of value I owned and every sentimental photograph and everything else sentimental got stolen when I moved recently. If the place burned down now I’d take my computer and cats. There’s nothing left.
@Kidsandliz
@Kidsandliz I am sorry. That is terrible
@Kidsandliz That sucks man. That happened to me when I was single and quite young. A long time ago. They even stole my boa constrictor and his habitat. But… it does become a distant memory.

@Kidsandliz for what it is worth, I do believe karma is real. Sometimes it just takes a while to come around.
@tinamarie1974
/youtube instant karma compilation funny
@lseeber Yeah it is the sentimental things that hurt the most when they are taken.
@tinamarie1974 I sure hope so
How do you define “nice”
@tinamarie1974
Not “rescued from a dumpster”?
@f00l oh! In that case …YES…I didnt know the bar was that low…whew
@f00l i’ve seen some nice dumpster rescues…but i’ve never come across such things myself (also not very handy when it comes to crafts and refurbs.)
My computer setup and associated accoutrements cost me the most, but since most are refurbs or otherwise years out of date, I’d say I have nary a thing requiring such a security system.

@jerk_nugget beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I have nice things. Do I have a lot of expensive things? No.
Yes, but you’d have to clean to find/get to any of it. Good fucking luck.
