Do you have any Apple II disks lying around?
10Hi fellow Mehricans, I’m hoping at least some of you can help out with this project: http://ascii.textfiles.com/archives/5180
From the post:
The Summary: Conditions are very, very good right now for easy, top-quality, final ingestion of original commercial Apple II Software and if you know people sitting on a pile of it or even if you have a small handful of boxes, please get in touch with me to arrange the disks to be imaged. apple@textfiles.com.
Jason Scott ( @ textfiles on Twitter) is working with a number of other folks to get copies of any and all Apple II commercial software, then make perfect copies of the disk, and then strip the copy protection so that they can then be emulated, including online at the Internet Archive.
Feel free to pass this on to other groups and people you know.

But won’t that diminish the collectable value of my retirement funds?
No Apple II disks, but I have a couple old 8-tracks.
No but it reminds me of when my wife was in consulting in about 2000 and carried around a Zip drive and disks around in a grocery bag for a project. This was a dark era without external HDs nor thumb drives.
@huja the evil:
@RedOak Go directly to jail. Do not pass “Go.” Do not collect $200.
@huja
I’ve got some boxes of II hardware, accessories, and (I think) floppies sitting in a dark, long forgotten (until now) corner. I recall connecting the stuff up about 7+ years ago and it booted up!
It will take some time and effort to access it.
Will look in the boxes. I still have the Woz-autographed ][+, may still have some of the many boxes of diskettes.
Had a ][ clone and boxes of software. I think my brother had it last. Will inquire.
2 years ago I did. got rid of it all when i moved
Three shoeboxes worth of warez
@zippyus Totally worth sending him an email about them.
