Yes, a lot of vinyl, and it suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks to move. I'm partial to the promo/DJ copies my father-in-law gave me. He found three boxes in a thrift store for like $10 (for all) and gave them to me because he knew I liked records. I just think they are fun to listen to because some are really bad. Especially those recorded by individuals. I'm probably only 1/3 the way through of listening to them all.
I still have all my hundreds of records I bought in the 70s-90s. Most of them are in boxes in storage. But I got the turntable hooked back up last year and have been buying a little bit of new vinyl. I need to start going through the boxes in storage. I'm sure there are a lot of treasures in there that I've forgotten about.
Only those left in the attic by the previous owner, who was too lazy to take them with him. I'm too lazy to lug them down and dispose of them. So there they sit. A far fetch to call it my collection though.
My ex-wife worked for a record distributor. Free concert tickets, up to 10 albums a week, free. Nice perks. My last move, current wife and I decided that it was no longer feasible to drag the 500 + with us. (We had converted most everything to CD.) They were contributed to a veterans group.
I was born a little too late for vinyl. Cassette tapes were my life. I had a record player and a few LPs and 45s, but tapes were more the thing back then. Now I have a couple boxes full of 1,000+ CDs that all live on a device that fits in my pocket. Ahh, technology.
We kept all of our old ones, and have started adding to it again now that vinyl is making a comeback. My husband likes to hunt down old gems at the resale stores, and I like to find new stuff that is different, like limited releases on color or clear vinyl. We have never not had the turntable hooked up.
If had time space $ might have a bunch. Once had 1000's, collector stuff from my NYC days. Stolen early in the digital era. Now just Springsteen Live 75-86, which is worth it.
Where is the "Yes, I am a hipster."?
I voted no, records take up too much space.

Ours are 50 years old, but, yeah, we still have them.
"Would you take $20 for all of them?" has exited my lips way too many times. Need to slim down the collection.
@reegyrag This man can help you out: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/10/magazine/the-brazilian-bus-magnate-whos-buying-up-all-the-worlds-vinyl-records.html

I also have one of these. But I don't remember them being as crazy expensive when I bought mine.

@SSteve Here's the whole setup:
When they're bad they really suck but put on a pristine copy of "wish you were here" by Pink Floyd and it's close to heaven.

Most, though a few dozen are over in the entertainment center waiting to be digitized.

Not any more, I had an ex-wife...
@2many2no So now she's an ex-ex-wife?
