Whoa!! Just checked out the site; my eyes are burning and my head is spinning!! What a confusing discombobulation of non-deals “assembled” to appeal to the OCD-prone millennials!!
@IndifferentDude The deals are posted by the users, not everything is actually a “good deal” but the stuff on the front page tends to be. The best feature is the deal alert system, you can set up alerts for products you need/want and be alerted when a deal is posted for that product.
@IndifferentDude Ignore most of the jazz you see on the first page. Go to Forums, then “Hot Deals” to see the deals posted that you probably would care about. As well, create an account and you can set up notifications. IE, you’re looking for a Monitor larger than 24" and 2 or more thumbs up. You can set that up and get an e-mail (Or notification on your phone if you have the app) when a deal is posted and meets your search criteria.
I would go to Slickdeals once every 1-2 days. The only other similiar site I know of would be 1sale.com where (when it was called 1saleaday.com) I bought an HDMI cord for $1.
I actually visit Slickdeals almost daily lol. I’m a bargain hunter at heart so it’s my go-to site, especialy whenever I’m looking for something specific.
If you are looking for something specific, use the mobile app and set up a customer search notification. Then you don’t have to visit the site and be tempted by all sorts of bargain or “bargain” crap you don’t need.
My taste for some of these site became soured after DailySteals charged my credit card but didn’t send anything. They claimed they sent me some thing because they created shipping label. The credit card company sided with me.
I looked them up later and found the BBB had given them an F.
I’m lazy, I just get Brad’s deals emails. Found some good stuff on them. I also subscribe to BF ads. They have a nice shopping list tool on their site, you can make a single comprehensive list of all your black friday shopping goals at all stores. Kmart gracefully honored the price on my BF ads shopping list printout as an advertised price when the price at the register was much higher.
Been a member of Slickdeals since 2007, check it once or twice every workday.
I mostly just read through the front page deals and use one or two of them a week. It’s saved me a lot of money over the years, and I send links to friends who I think may be interested as well.
Yes, the signal:noise ratio for any one user is not great, but if you format the front page as a list (one click), it’s just text. That makes it easy to quickly look through for something useful.
I took their RSS feeds and put them in My Yahoo so I could see the stream of deals coming throughout the day. Unfortunately, FatWallet is going away today. I still have edealinfo and slickdeals, and look at others occasionally, especially around Christmastime and afterwards.
Slickdeals? Is that the place where you can buy personal lubricant in bulk packaging?
@awk Yes. Amazon will never live that Prime Day down.
@awk
Dealnews. Never cared for slickdeals

I visit Slickdeals multiple times per day. But I might be biased.
@BeAuMaN And why exactly are you biased? Are you somehow associated with Slickdeals?

Meh then slickdeals, consistently, first thing, like now. Ah. Coffee is ready.
Strange question to ask on the day of the death of Fatwallet. And then not include it.
@Fuzzalini maybe FW is out because it doesn’t say “did you frequent”?

@rtjhnstn Does what it says on the label?
