If everything appears to be “normal” then most things can be figured out with common sense. Its when it becomes complicated, or outside of “normal”, that instructions are necessary.
I’ve had multiple jobs that only really exist because people don’t follow obvious instructions. I always read the instructions in full before I start. Except for Lego, in which case I actively follow the instructions as I go.

Here is my goat cat/vulture/mountain lion (I’ve posted this before. I am sure had we that cat opening up top she’d be sitting/draped in it.
@narfcake That looks about right. I have a cat like that. Used to have two others like that too. Currently I only have one sink faucet drinker and she is not all that thrilled with water on the top of her head. Down the side of her face doesn’t bother her though.
I read a study that said in the USA most people read manuals, instructions, etc. as a last resort when nothing else works. In some countries they read them cover to cover before they touch anything. I’d bet the USA needs more tech, etc. customer support agents than in the read the manual first countries. LOL

Are there new instructions for this meh-rathon?? Not getting product changes on time…
I always read them, but I don’t always follow them.

Of course LEGOS always required instructions.
It depends on the thing and my need to be adventurous that day.
If I say “no”, am I following the instructions to answer the question?

Sometimes they can be pretty entertaining with questionable Chinese >English translation…frustrating tho if you actually need the info!

We once got a thing that came with a sheet of “instractions.” So that’s what we called all of them from then on.
@narfcake
Brilliant!
@narfcake I love they included cat with the question mark over his head. Though my cat would probably see that as a challenge.
@katbyter Probably!
