DIY GIF's
9So maybe there is a topic of this nature around here somewhere, but searching is a weak point of mine while laziness is not.
I think it’d be a hoot to see something along the lines of the “Look Around. What’s Interesting?” idea except posted here in the Graphics Interchange Format. So make a gif and share it for all to enjoy… There are plenty of apps for Android and, I assume, iPhone as well and also online video to gif converters/editors.
Here’s one to kick things off.

@cengland0 My cousin had a bird that looked just like that, and he was the friendliest, most outgoing, funny character of a bird I’ve ever met.
They have a house full of a variety of animals who all get along and hang out together and most of the memorable moments that got posted to FB involved the bird.
E.g., the bird sitting on the edge of the sink helping to bathe the dog, and the bird and cat cozied up together on the couch.
And yes, I’m referring to him in the past tense for a reason.
@DennisG2014 When I first got my bird, he was very friendly. All the neighbor kids wanted to come over and play with him. But he does have claws and he unintentionally scratches people when he lands on them. So the kids would sometimes scream or yell when the bird would land on them and my bird is very sensitive to loud sounds.
He’s now a very mean bird. Anyone that enters his room other than me or Mrs. cengand0 will be attacked and their eyes taken out.
If I’m expecting company, I have to lock him up in the cage to protect the people from this innocent looking bird.
He is a good watch bird though. I can be typing away on the computer and if someone walks on the property, he immediately flies to his perch at the window and starts screaming.

My cousin’s house is all screaming kids, animals and utter chaos.
If her bird couldn’t have handled that, he wouldn’t have made it past day 1, lol.
@DennisG2014 He lasted about 2 years and then got fed up with the noise.
Even if I walk into his room and I’m carrying my phone, wallet, or keys, he will attack me. It’s safe to come in with a banana though.
By the way, my bird does like coffee but his vet said to not let him have any. That doesn’t stop him from licking the bottom of the cup.

@cengland0 I remember an alligator coaster like that from like 25 years ago…probably the same one.
@medz Probably. They tear these down and set them back up elsewhere all in one day. Definitely mobile and they only have it once or twice a year here.
As for me, I’d never get on one of those death traps. They probably had 20 extra screws when putting it up and said, “to hell with it, I’ll figure where these go next time.”
@cengland0 @medz I take my kids to one of these around the corner from me every year when it comes. It’s in a field, not a parking lot, much softer landing should the Ferris wheel topple
