Dear Mehtizens, please help a fave win
6Vote for Barbeque Pit! It’s been in San Diego forever and they’re a family friendly place with the yummiest barbeque. You can vote once an hour until Noon, pacific time (3pm east coast, 2pm central)
Thanks!

Done, but it is very close… vote early, vote often!
i’m pretty sure i went there when i was in/near san diego a few years back. i remember it being pretty damn good. they got my vote!
Done.
Done again.
And again.
Done.
Thanks! Remember, you can vote once an hour. They’re falling behind…:(
Need a lot more votes/voters.
Voted, but it’s currently 55/45 in favor of Oink & Moo.
Sorry, site’s blocked at work.
@walarney Boo! work. What a sad set of priorities they have. Don’t they know BBQ pit needs your vote?
@lisaviolet Blocked for me too. There’s not much streaming allowed.
@cinoclav I don’t think there’s any streaming, but I didn’t hang around long enough to find out. It’s like one of those sports things with the teams that get narrowed down until you hit the finalists.
They’re hundreds behind, I doubt they’ll win. We just got the email this morning, so we tried.

@lisaviolet It wasn’t about the contest and streaming. The site itself is primarily known for streaming so it’s entirely blocked.
@cinoclav Gotcha.
Voted but still losing 45-55. They need 400+ votes now.
Thanks, guys.
@lisaviolet Looks like we were a couple of weeks late to the party.
@sammydog01 Yeah, voting for the final winner started yesterday morning (10am). It would have been nice to have more notice.
Oh, well. When you look at all of the places that started, second place isn’t that bad. Phil’s BBQ even has their own BBQ sauce that Costco sells. And they didn’t make it very long. They lost out to Oink in the first round.
It was a nice little distraction for the day.
Thank you all for voting.
Thanks for the memories! I remember the Barbecue Pit in the El Cajon area, I think… It had great food. I hope it’s still as good.
Also the link lead to KGB. I listened to “136 KGB” for so many years. It started my love of Rock & Roll music.
I moved out of the San Diego area in the late 70’s, but go back often…
@daveinwarsh That’s the one that we go to, on Fletcher Parkway. My fave is the chicken sandwich. I usually give my husband the bun so he can make two sandwiches from his beef sandwich. There is so much meat on both of them…not eating the bun gives me room for the chicken and the most awesome fries ever.
