On Amazon, why the F does the one with two zippers cost half as much as the one with one zipper? I’m really wondering…is the two-zip somehow inferior in some way?
CRAP!! So when Meh says that the “Approximate Dimensions : 12 X 10 x 24 inches,” it means that you’ll get whatever we send you? I mean, if the backpacks/bags have different dimensions, shouldn’t you mention that, Meh? I mean, I would have ordered the other one if I knew we REALLY mean APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS. I am not a happy camper.
@gertiestn with a soft, nearly structure-less bag like this, it’s hard to gauge size. There’s the official size, then there’s size you stretch it out to when you cram one more thing.
It’s like putting on pants that just barely fit. Just because you can zip them doesn’t they’re supposed to be that shape.
@aristan thanks!..Costco has a roller that expands from a small size up to carry on size…for 29 bucks. Gonna go with that as I think it will fir better on the regional airlines…but I appreciate the help!
I thought rolling duffles were sort of silly (for non-flyers); then my kids moved into dorms… this is freaking perfect. Use the dolly/wheels with it on move in/move out day, use it as a duffle for breaks to get back home, and use it as a backpack for when they already packed too much crap to carry when going elsewhere.
It needs a way to stow the dolly on the bag when it’s used as a backpack, or maybe a pillow or pad for your back if you wear it like a backpack when the dolly is in place.
Also, either the stated dimensions are a conservative estimate, or the model in the pictures is smaller than my perception of average.
Despite originally poo-pooing this bag, I decided to buy one. I have a kid going away to college this fall, and I guess having a disposable duffel bag for him to take will handy. This one seems big enough to bring enough clothes for a visit home, but not big enough to also bring all of his laundry…
@shahnm Do not underestimate the ingenuity of students who want to do laundry at home - for example grocery bags tied to the outside all full of dirty laundry too.
I bought one of these last summer when they were about $10 more expensive, IIRC. Took it on a 2 week trip to Italy in July. It’s very light, but will have a tendency to fall over if you don’t pack heavy items near the corner of the rolling apparatus. I think it’s a steal at this price. My bro and sister-in-law bought one for themselves, too, but she hated it so much she didn’t bring it home.
I bought this bag last time around. It is perfect for what I want - a lightweight (in terms of ounces/pounds) suitcase that I can roll through the airport and lift to the overhead compartments by myself. My ‘go to’ Kirkland carry-on is too heavy for me, I’m short and not strong, so I have always relied on others to help me lift and retrieve it. The duffle was roomy enough for what I wanted. It was ‘tippy’, so I just made sure I leaned it against a wall. However, I would NEVER check this, it is too flimsy and would not stand up to luggage handlers or the weight of other luggage piled on top, the zippers and seams would pop, and maybe the hand-cart part might break. I still think it’s awesome, just be aware of what you are and are not getting.
@Ignorant Thanks, looks like that is the right model number. But I ordered one and the photo that came up on the order page only had one zipper. So I cancelled it. If I want to make sure should I ask over there? Or can someone like @Thumperchick help me?
@Thumperchick Thank you, that does help. Just so you guys know, the Amazon listings have the top zipper only as model 01-012 and the two zipper model as 01-688 so one of you has them backwards.

You mistake me o’ 'Cube my dear friend,
So no need for shahnm to end.
It’s not that I agree with Meh’s goal,
(Those scoundrels and crazy old troll).
But they’re made their position quite clear:
No Meh face pop sockets this year.
So be careful with all your demands,

For the original “pac(k)man”— so well hello Dolly!
I think the bag on the left is smirking at me.
@shahnm Left, that is to say, from the perspective of the bags…
@shahnm …and the one on the right looks like a penguin.
$20 or less for a backpack is always a good deal.
Unfortunately, I don’t need one at this time. Good job, though.
On Amazon, why the F does the one with two zippers cost half as much as the one with one zipper? I’m really wondering…is the two-zip somehow inferior in some way?
@gertiestn Its smaller also, by a couple inches, according to Amazon.

@gertiestn you can cancel your order and reorder the other one.
I don’t need another backpack, especially one that looks like it’s coming alive in a transformers movie and running after me.
@fuzzmanmatt I was thinking “Doctor Who” but same general idea. They’d probably be called “Baggones”
Just cancelled my order. Still want to know what Meh has to say about the dimensions.
@gertiestn Have you tried writing into meh.com/support?
@gertiestn Amazon shows both at 12 x 9 x 21
@gertiestn @therealjrn did that and realized they don’t work or answer on weekends so that answers the tech support question.
@gertiestn @pskemp2 It appears to me meh says the approximate dimensions are 12 X 10 x 24 inches.
…
@gertiestn - Second-Time-Around Saturday?
Everyone complaining about the uncertain dimensions. Um, these are cheap bags and you have scissos, right? Make them whatever size you want.
Of course, they are smart backpacks: You have to walk, but they get carried!
Is this large enough to fit a body in if you remove the limbs? Asking for a friend.
@OnionSoup Nope just big enough for 8 Heads Per Duffle Bag
100,000,000 imagine internet points to whoever gets the reference

Can I cash in my points now, or do I have to wait until they’re vested or something?
according to Amazon, the right size for carry-on. According to MEH, too big for carry on. Leave it to Meh to turn a purchase into a MEH no sale.
@fastharry amazon’s (and a lot of manufacturers) measurements have a tendency to forget wheels and handles exist. The airlines do not forget this.
That said, you’re probably fine. I sold luggage for 10 years and rarely had anyone have a problem with a bag that was really 23 or 24 inches.
And amazon says 21x9x12, which technically is too wide. (Should be 22x9x11)
@fastharry wait, I was wrong. It’s 22x14x9 and I’m apparemtly forgetting all my luggage knowledge.
@aristan thanks!..Costco has a roller that expands from a small size up to carry on size…for 29 bucks. Gonna go with that as I think it will fir better on the regional airlines…but I appreciate the help!
No TSA, no flying, no need for this bag.

will this work with frontier because i don’t want to check myself?
@Bigbearballs I don’t know specifically about Frontier, but most airlines want you to check in before they will let you on the plane.

Airline carry on dimensions are now 22 × 14 x 9 as of 2018.
These are for sale on Morningsave for $16- the photo shows the one with the extra zipper. Is that correct? @ignorant?
@sammydog01 should be correct, the MorningSave bag is the 01-688 model.
@Ignorant Thanks, looks like that is the right model number. But I ordered one and the photo that came up on the order page only had one zipper. So I cancelled it. If I want to make sure should I ask over there? Or can someone like @Thumperchick help me?
@sammydog01 yeah you’d need an actual factual employee to really make sure.
@sammydog01 The Model: 01-688 is the one on MorningSave.
Top zipper only.
Hope that helps!
@Thumperchick Thank you, that does help. Just so you guys know, the Amazon listings have the top zipper only as model 01-012 and the two zipper model as 01-688 so one of you has them backwards.
@sammydog01 @Thumperchick
01-012 should be the top zip only
https://dbest-products.com/search?q=01-012
@Ignorant @sammydog01 I’ll get that straightened out. Thanks.
@Thumperchick looks like it’s been corrected to model 01-012.
But sorry @sammydog01 looks like the price for 1 less zipper is $1 more.
@Ignorant @Thumperchick A DOLLAR MORE?
