Dating apps busiest day... today apparently
2You'd think it would be Feb 13... But apparently it's today according to whatever news station was on at the dealership today. The number 1 tip was to dress to impress... Dress up on the photos you take.... Now here is the question... I think it'd be funny.... but at the same time I have no practical real world application for this... But I still am curious... How many dates/interests people would get if the photos were all in Meh shirts...

I wonder how many people make a new year's resolution to "find love"?
@Thumperchick you set yourself up for so much there... Too bad one of my resolutions was to be kind(er.)
@sohmageek I don't see it :(
27/m/ny u?
@Lotsofgoats is a/s/l still a thing on the internet? for some reason I thought the kids these days just sent naked pics on snapchat or tinder instead of typing something so quaint.
@metageist As long as your nude pix have like a state flag in the background, you can pretty much knock out all of a/s/l all at once!
@brhfl That all depends... you have a whole lot of subcultures... Plus some of the kids today... I don't think they would know from from

About dressing up on the photos, I have mixed feelings about that. I helped someone with her profile pictures and used professional equipment. I had pro backgrounds and a Canon 1dx with light boxes.
She had so much negative feedback from the pictures. The men thought they were fake or of someone else. Apparently nobody has professional photos on dating sites. So she took mine down and did the typical blurry shot with the cell phone in the mirror. Horrible but did eventually find her current boyfriend with it.
@cengland0 I think the good photos should be saved for your LinkedIn/About.Me page; conversely, I don't think much of people when their LinkedIn profile is clearly a selfie.
I agree. Men post photos in suit, tie, the most recent office headshot, and my first thought is.....fuddyduddy
@Aznatural1 Really... I guess the Bow tie makes the difference ;)
@sohmageek Now a bow-tie, thats eclectic!
@Aznatural1 When I see a woman's profile with half a dozen selfies, I think "self-absorbed" or "no friends".
Yes, I agree which is why I don't do selfies. Also, most of my friends do not want to be on a dating profile ...so out of the respect I don't put their pictures, if im in a group shot. And never photos of my kid.
@Aznatural1 Good form. I agree, friend photos... never. Pic of me doing something... ok. But not as a selfie. If I am at Disneyland and have to take a selfie, I've taken a wrong step somewhere in my life. :-)
@Aznatural1 but kids are so adorable
