@mellowirishgent same here, I got 2 of each kind the first time I ever saw these on here and they’re just ok. Still haven’t run out and it’s been MONTHS, won’t be buying these again.
@mellowirishgent I ordered some the first time I saw them. I maybe ate 3, and had to try for months to give them to coworkers. They even started complaining about the flavor.
@mellowirishgent this is one of those things where everybody buys to try them. When 20 million people do this, the mfr and marketers thinks it’s a huge success.
Everybody, take these to work so that your coworkers can try without having to buy. That will reduce overall sales and deflate those marketers a bit.
I ate these before knowing to warm them up on my hot drink. I agree, they’re just ok. Meh, if you’re listening please bring back the dark chocolate covered coconut marshmallows.
Those got me through some tough COVID times
@gustador Or, if they can, go out and find some better dark-choc-and-coconut-covered marshmallows. The previous ones were edible, but far from excellent. (Hence the reason why Meh had them.)
Is it me, or are the Meh offerings becoming less and less appealing? I signed up for alerts about 2 months ago when they were offering a certain computer-related peripheral which sold out within minutes. Since then, there has been nothing nearly as enticing offered here.
I hate to sound like a curmudgeon, but I’m really wondering how you folks feel.
@Berndude It’s a daily YMMV trip. A few things lately have been more tempting than most of what was going by in December and January. (Those jewelry bits, just no, ugh, that’s so QVC.)
$35 (w/ shipping) for 64 of these things is just not that much of a bargain ($4.38/box). And at 3.5 g of sat fat and 14 g of sugar EACH, they are a “treat” best enjoyed on a very occasional basis.
I’ve seen these at a local supermarket (Publix), for about $4.99, and might just try one box to see how delightful/mediocre/poisonous they actually are…
@MrNews IMO, not quite delightful; my SO likes them much more than I do. Definitely a square hit on mediocre (I’m getting glared at here), and debatable about the “poisonous” part depending upon the degree to which you consider chronic overstressing of the pancreas hazardous.
@werehatrack Just bought a box at Publix, $4.39, ONE PENNY more than the Meh sale price (if you buy EIGHT boxes). They are definitely meh, slightly better warm, and tastier than candy corn. Worth trying once…
@lumpthar One box from Aldi in the fall would remind me that there were things containing caramel that were actually pleasantly edible, and then they’d be gone the next time, so I’d never had a chance to get them so often that they’d lose their appeal. Then I ordered a case from Meh. And now they are meh, for me. Fortunately, the SO still likes them, so the supply will get exhausted without needing to resort to using them as clay pigeons.

Jumbo minis!!!
These aren’t stale yet from so many stored in the warehouse?
@Kidsandliz they are getting them out before summer so they won’t get stale
@ironcheftoni Oh yeah… they no longer use Pitney Butthead so that shouldn’t be an issue.
Stroop there it is!
Oh joy. Just what I needed. The best part of flying United, without the aggravation of the TSA.
@werehatrack Oh, sorry, forgot the closing tag after “Just what I needed.” </sarcasm>
Shit no
wait- tarragon crab?
@alacrity Not enough asafoetida.
@alacrity If they had the cherry-lime ones, I’d jump on it. Tarragon-crab? That’s the flavor I’d take along to a potluck.
/giphy yum
I’m not gonna stroop that low, even for Meh.
All of these sound good. Wish they were sold as a variety pack.
@JT954 you could get one of each and then mix and match as you please in your own plastic baggie?
And somehow Meh failed to even make jumbo honey versions available. Typical Meh-sup.
Wow, those zip bags come with a huge premium over the boxes.
0.548$/oz with the mini vs 0.331$/oz with the jumbo
Guess there’s a premium for bite size convenience too
But isn’t now the time to be getting stocked up with chocolate bunnies instead?
@phendrick I want some green rabbit peeps, to turn into Cthulhu peeps.
I BOUGHT A CASE ON SEPT.21,2020, i CAN’T GIVE THESE THINGS AWAY, Am I missing something with these? In my humble opinion they are over rated.

The original caramel eludes again!

@werehatrack I wish. This is Meh, not Behtter-than-Meh
Probably prefer Honey, but I’m in. These are great.
If I ordered these, I would probably devour them in a single sitting. So I’m not.
Good way to make your liver into foie gras
Just like that … Stroopwafels became the new Speaker docks
@somf69 No. They became the new bricked candy corn. Warming a speaker dock fries it
@Kidsandliz @somf69 And now you have unintentionally given me a mental image of a battered and deep-fried stroopwafel.
@somf69 @werehatrack WellI suppose you could beat it up and kick it from the frying pan into the fire… (snicker)
So, the “jumbo” stroopwafels aren’t individually wrapped? I give the individually wrapped stroopwafels out at work. This sucks. Pass.

Still working my way thru prior Stroop purchases.
So tasty.

I used to think stroopwafels were great until I got stuck with 144 of them, and no one else in the house was eating them. Now…meh.
@lumpthar One box from Aldi in the fall would remind me that there were things containing caramel that were actually pleasantly edible, and then they’d be gone the next time, so I’d never had a chance to get them so often that they’d lose their appeal. Now that we’ve had stroopwafels and a speaker dock, I guess we can expect masks tomorrow or the next day.
Why is today’s Meh face flashing? It made sense the other day, but I didn’t think stroopwafels lit up. I wonder where you put the battery.
@lisagd Choc vs Maple?
@lisagd @werehatrack It looks like chocolate gets the black face.
Not blackface.
@lisagd The battery goes in the refrigerator, of course.
