@opivp99 Fan loud is a valid complaint. Overloading the inverter and/or the vehicle’s fuse due to what they’re plugging in? Not so much.
The amount of ignorance some reviewers have when it comes to power is just sad. Not for this product in particular, but:
A 100w inverter can’t power an 1800w hair dryer. 1 STAR!
It keeps blowing my car’s fuse. 1 STAR! Nevermind the car in context has a 10A rating on the 12V acessory plug and they were trying to use a 175w inverter that requires a 15A circuit.
Can’t power a coffee maker? An air compressor? A microwave? 1 STAR!
@narfcake Yes, generally I agree with you, but this goes further than just your everyday idiots… the product doesn’t seem to live up to it’s own specs. 37% 1 star is a bit much for your usual dimwits
@narfcake I had one arrive DOA, plugged in, LED came on for a flash, then died, no load connected. Not a problem with my car (30A circuit), nor the load (none was connected). Just plain junk. Again, for some products Woot/Meh is basically the returns triage extension of these companies.
@Taab05 Meh should sell the companion steering wheel desktop accessory. Maybe on two-for Tuesday? You just know your wife will want one too for the back seat. See what I did there?
@narfcake I tried to make turbo chili once, but it exploded all over the engine.
When I was a child, my father drove truck for a local moving company for a few years. I’d get the chance to go with him from time to time on overnight hauls. It was a bitter cold Nebraska night and Dad made hoagie type meatball and cheese sandwiches in the kitchen and wrapped them in aluminum foil and we took off into the night. i figured we were eating cold sandwiches, but he plopped them down on the floorboard of that truck and and told me to ride with my feet in the seat, sitting cross-legged. He turned the heat on full and rolled down his window and we shot down the Interstate highway cooking sandwiches on the floor of an old semi. They were damn tasty - and mighty hot.
@Mehsturbator as most of you know, the CPS175SU doesn’t have the thrust-to-weight ratio that the MiG-28 has. And, it doesn’t bleed energy below 300 knots like the MiG-28. However, the MiG-28 does have a problem with its inverted flight tanks. It won’t do a negative G push over. The latest intelligence tells us that the most it will do is one negative.
This thing works great when it actually works. It doesn’t work if I leave it plugged in when I start the car, and just yesterday it randomly stopped until I unplugged and plugged it back in. Also, the fan is really loud and sometimes sounds like it’s having a lot of trouble when it first starts up.
Did anyone else pop an ambien before checking out today’s deal? It took longer than it should have to realize I was not about to purchase a pair of binoculars.
Actually, I need to check the front page again to check if they indeed are not binoculars.
Last time I ordered 2 of these, one of them was DOA. (Haven’t opened the other yet). Meh says to call cyberpower-- I did, left a message, never heard anything back. Don’t waste your time buying these. Just another product you have to open and test everyone you get, like those damn LED rope lights I got burned on.
I keep a power inverter in each of my cars. My newest inverter is this exact model – which I bought from Meh for $15 (including shipping) in October.
A power inverter saved my butt back in 2011. We had a freak ice storm, and a bunch of foot-thick tree branches fell across our long communal road. Obviously, the power got knocked out. I had the chainsaw, right? But frozen wet wood dulls a saw chain in one or two cuts, and I needed to sharpen the chain. My electric sharpener needed electricity. Power inverter to the rescue!
I cleared access to my neighbor’s place as well as my own. For that (and another favor), he gave me a bottle of Johnnie Walker.
So be smart and get an inverter – it’s your ticket to free whiskey!
I bought a 150 watt last week on amazon for 8.99 and just bought 2 of these because they last about a year… this is a good deal dont out think yourself into not buying this read my lips "GREAT DEAL "ty Meh

@stevekirks

They look like a pair of robot binoculars
Charge on. Invert
I kept waiting for something to go splat on the windshield in the last photo
Does it really float in the air when charging?
so this device allows me to drive and text safely? That’s what photo 3 tells me
@jmhsrv Photo 3 also tells you that dude is dreaming if he thinks the 1A USB port is going to charge his iPhone.
Once again, more 1 star reviews on AZ than any other… just… too… meh…

@opivp99 In their infinite wisdom, Amazon has lumped together multiple products and their reviews/ratings under one listing.

I don’t think they should be ever advertising driving and texting.
@Taab05 Because surfing and driving is so much cooler! Multi-tasking rocks!
@Taab05 Cool Avatar, Bro!
@Taab05 Hard to starboard, Matey!
@Taab05 Meh should sell the companion steering wheel desktop accessory. Maybe on two-for Tuesday? You just know your wife will want one too for the back seat. See what I did there?
@Taab05 Whistle while you work…
Besides a laptop, what else can this device power?
@JT954 your electric shaver?
@JT954 Stuff that takes less than 175w.
Years ago on a road trip, I plugged a small slow cooker in an inverter so I had a hot minestrone when I stopped.
@JT954 a tattoo gun?
@JT954 a paper shredder?
@JT954 3 lava lamps?
@JT954 Your Hitachi Magic Wand. Try it first, thank me later.
@Mehsturbator /drops mic.
@narfcake
Restaurant much?
@Pavlov It was going to be late. My choices would’ve been a drive through or Denny’s. And I haven’t learned the art of manifold cooking either.
@narfcake I tried to make turbo chili once, but it exploded all over the engine.

Good times . . .
@Mehsturbator username checks out
I saw this and you know what I wanted to do? Get into a 4G inverted dive with a MiG 28. That’s some inverted power for ya.

Recommended. I used it to put a string of holiday lights on my car this year. Just ignore the haters who call you “the Christmas police”.
@davecort Dude, you’re supposed to put them on the inside. Drop two tabs, put it in park, and … road trip to Santa’s Wonderland.

Once again, wonderful copy. Not much of a product, but the copy was outstanding.
Nope, end of quarter ed of year rush. GO GO GO.
wait… “$15 on amazon” selling for $9 plus $5 for shipping
I’d just spend the extra dollar to get it in 2 days if I were going to buy this at all.
@steelbluesleepr Yeah-- plus, when they inevitably show up DOA, you can return them super easy

@caffeineguy I don’t know what your beef is with Meh but your story don’t ring true …
Is this the most “meh” of the meh all year? It might be a close race between this, and the string of pearls, at least in MHO.
Is that a Meh-ception in the final picture?
