Customer Support-y Stuff (I know there's a backlog, but dang)
3Heyo! I'm only posting this here because phone support doesn't exist and this seems more likely to get noticed by folks like @hollboll or other support humans. I've emailed about this twice since last Monday with no response (again, backlog, I know)...but here we go again:
FedEx lost my KitchenAid mixer order. And, for whatever reason, they won't talk to me about it...only Meh (they mentioned something about how much time has passed). So I emailed Meh support about the situation and right now I'm just stuck waiting for someone to tell me whether or not they'll talk to someone else about something for me, and don't have any clue when I might have a clue about what's going on.
I'm generally a pretty patient fella, but this was supposed to be my sister's wedding gift and the wedding is coming up FAST.
In one way, this is just a public plea for some support from Meh staff.
In another, it's a request for advice. Have any of y'all had experience with lost packages before? Have they been replaced or refunded or what? It would be awesome if I could just get a replacement KitchenAid (because she'd love the mixer, and I'd love to spend less than a billion dollars on it)...but if that isn't gonna happen, then I'd like to know sooner rather than later so I can figure out another wedding gift for the li'l sis (or somehow come to terms with paying retail for a KitchenAid).
Can a brotha get some help and/or advice?

I made the mistake of buying something from another deal a day site that does NOT have a forum with people. 19 days, I've been "processing, pending shipment", and no easy way to know if EVERYONE is still waiting for this crap, or if I'm the only one. Much sadness. I shall only buy in future from Meh, cause at least I can commiserate with others when I don't have my crap.
Good luck with getting the mixer - I hope that they can sort it out prior to the big day. Giving a printed email confirmation is much sadness.
Unfortunately there's been some kind of problem with that sale...

I imagine someone over there at Meh is working on fixing what ever went wrong.
Haha yeah...the issue here is that FedEx shows that it left Miami on Feb 27...and still isn't in Columbia SC (I mean...I could make that drive in a (long) day). FedEx got halfway through letting me file a claim, then reversed course and said they could only talk to the sender (Meh).
So it seems like the package is definitely lost, but there's nothing I can do about it at this point--it's a Meh/FedEx issue, and I just want to know whether or not I should just move forward with other plans.
Meh definitely did their part on the front end (it's FedEx's fault for losing the package), I'm just up against a deadline and hoping that Meh will get back to me sometime soon with any sort of info that will help me know where to go from here.
@NorthBeast Since it left from Miami, it looks like they used a drop shipper. That could explain why it's be taking so long to get a response. Meh trusted someone to ship out the mixers, but shit got fucked. There's a list of things that could go wrong when you trust a drop shipper, and they could be waiting to hear from the vendor.
@Kevin Yeah, the drop shipping thing crossed my mind. Sucks because that just adds another layer of complication. It would be nice to at least be kept in the loop, though--if it's a widespread problem, it seems relatively simple to send a mass email to everyone who ordered a mixer and mention that things went screwy somewhere along the way, but someone's working on getting everything sorted out.
@Kevin bummer...well, hopefully I'll at least hear something at some point. I understand it can take a while to work out these issues (especially if there are a ton of similar cases), and I'm fine with that--I just want enough info to know what I should do at this point. Thanks for pointing me to the other comments, and fingers crossed!
Hey @NorthBeast, thanks for hanging in there! We are reaching out to FedEx to file a claim and see if we can track it down for you. Keep an eye on your email, you'll be seeing something from us shortly.
