@LaVikinga Sadly it’s only a dog pool one weekend a year. The last weekend before they drain the pools and clean them in the fall, the Parks Department opens this public pool for dogs. We always had to keep Simba on leash even in the pool due to dog aggression. He used to cheat and walk around on the bottom of the pool on his back feet while swimming with his front. He was about 6’3" on his back feet, so if we went to the deep end to water deep enough that he couldn’t touch the bottom, neither could we, and he’d just tow us back to where he could walk. This year I’ll be able to let Tempest and Zephyr run around free like the other dogs and it will be lots of fun.
My cat Milton used to jump on our backs if we bent over for something. One time my husband decided to stand back up very slowly to see what Milton would do…
@candiedisilvio1 Thanks, I love to spoil him that’s why he gets excited when he gets to stay at my house! Here is some more cuteness, the white one is my fur baby…a doggie totem pole and a doggie burrito .
My bird likes spending time inside my shirt chewing his way out. Puts lots of holes in the shirt so I have a stack of “retired” ones that I wear when I’m with him.
@mfladd He chews through the shirts faster than I retire them so I buy cheap shirts when they go on clearance for the sole purpose of having a new bird shirt
@mfladd and, by the way, I only buy new shirts. It’s amazing how cheap a clearance shirt can be from Old Navy or Aeropostal (and others) so I don’t have to wear someone else’s crap from salvation army. It’s common to get them for under $5 but sometimes around $2 for a new t-shirt.
@cengland0 Silly bird also likes coffee. Understandable since he’s from Columbia. Problem is, the vet said to not let him have caffeine so I let him taste the coffee film at the bottom without allowing him to drinking any.
@lordbowen Yeah mine do that too, including hanging their heads off of shelves, cat trees, and other odd places they perch. That can’t be comfortable and yet they do it over and over.
@ELUNO Well they have to eat something… Some pet stores sell feeder fish cheap. When my kid wanted fish (that lasted about 6 weeks and then I gave them away - fish are more work than cats, although they are cat TV) we bought feeder fish as I figured it wouldn’t last and didn’t want to invest much.
@mfladd She’s a pretty cool cat although way the heck too talkative (like at 4am deciding to keep calling to find me - um I am in bed like every other night? You do know where the bed is seeing as you sleep on it at times? Right? Sigh.).
Was on the deck taking photos of the fog (rarest of weather phenomena here) on the mountain at the end of the street yesterday and finally got a good picture of my two guys at the same time. Zephyr’s really hard to take a good photo of because he’s either dashing around or crashed flat.
You have opened Pandora’s box, lol. I’ll restrain myself to just four.
Simba: Just sitting here on Uncle Bob
Uncle Bob and Me are Swimmin’!
Upside down napping
Me and Tempest are just playing
@moondrake
Awwwwww.
A Dog Pool?! That’s FABULOUS!!!
The upside down napping position is referred to as “Paint Me Like Your French Girls” pose in my house. Also used as a verb:
“Where’s Frank?”
“I don’t know. Last time I saw him he was French Girling in the kids’ hallway.”
“I think he puked under the rocking chair again.”
“I hate cats.”

@katylava Milton actually looks quite content up there. Your husband maybe not so much.
Super Belle the Wonder Dog.
It’s very rare to find the Zoe Monster without her tennis ball

@cengland0 With that shirt you are either a zombie or it’s the bird’s shirt.
/giphy that’s awesome

The kids and I are going to the humane society in the morning. We shall see if I have a pic or not.
@mfladd Apparently no luck at the shelter?
@ruouttaurmind We have been there twice…1/2 the day. Stay tuned tonight. News coming!
@mfladd
/giphy anticipation
My cat sleeps like this from time to time. So weird.
@lordbowen Yeah mine do that too, including hanging their heads off of shelves, cat trees, and other odd places they perch. That can’t be comfortable and yet they do it over and over.
Thanks everyone for sharing I loved that!
Mr Bandit doesn’t like cashews:
This has crashed my pc three times so far…
He was convinced the boppy was his new bed
The little scarred boy we adopted today at the Humane Society. Name pending.
@mfladd Who’s a cute little Waffles? Yes, you are!
@medz I love you are advocating for your name. But since my son watched Teen Titans I can’t get this out of my head.
This little cutie has taken up residence in our window.
@medz Awww!

Pepe the Snek is living with us temporarily. He just ate, thus the goldfish shaped bulge.
@Pamtha He ate a goldfish?!

Dis is my nom!
14 cents each, he eats 5 a week. Cheap date!
@Kidsandliz I’m gonna raise mine vegan.
@Pamtha yum yum!
I have posted goat cat before (one of 4 cats, all were strays, one I bottle fed, 3 are 16 and goat cat is 6).
@Kidsandliz She looks like one of our cats when I was growing up. Gorgeous!
@Kidsandliz Love GoaT cat!
@mfladd She’s a pretty cool cat although way the heck too talkative (like at 4am deciding to keep calling to find me - um I am in bed like every other night? You do know where the bed is seeing as you sleep on it at times? Right? Sigh.).
@Pamtha Yes she is a pretty cat.
