Cookies
8New Girl Scout cookie flavors, to be exact. Two new types of s’mores cookies will be available this year, but only one of the options will be sold in each area.
This article contains a thorough comparison and review.
And this article mentions a cookie finder app to find out which will be available in your area.
Do I see a cookie exchange on the horizon? (I have seen conflicting information regarding online sales).

This seems apropos for the subject:
@heartny Only one sleeve?
@Barney One for dinner, one for dessert.
@heartny - Washed down with milk?
@KDemo Nope. Lactose intolerant. And why ruin the taste of cookies with milk?
@heartny - Maybe better with some of @carl669’s vodka tonics then? That’s what the best moms serve for after-school snacks.
@heartny Ahh, that sounds like a plan.
@KDemo Yes, that sounds like a plan. Or maybe I’ll save some Meh wine.
@heartny I wanted to try the Meh wine, but gee, 6 bottles? Hmm, maybe I’ll sneak over and steal @carl669’s stash. He’ll never know.
@Barney It looks like now would be a good time
@Barney i see you stealing my wine! at lest pour me a glass befor hyou leave!
Nite-nite, @carl669. Sweet dreams.
@carl669 - Don’t blame only @Barney, we were all in on the wine raid. Hic
@KDemo You mean I gotta share it?
@Barney - No worries, we can get some more. Now who else ordered meh wine again . . . ?
@KDemo Need more stars for that picture.
@KDemo This would make it even better:
@heartny - Lifestyles of the hedonistic and mediocre. Perfect!
@KDemo Can you share @carl669’s vodka tonic recipe since Carl probably can’t remember it now?
@dashcloud 1 part vodka to 3 parts tonic. increase vodka and decrease tonic as the night continues. add a lime if you want to be fancy.
@dashcloud - Sure, but I’ll have to guess a little.
Ingredients:
Tonic
Vodka
Lime twist
Ice.
.
Instructions:
Drink vodka out of the bottle.
@carl669 - Dang. I was close, though. Just jumped to the end a little early.
@KDemo close enough.
After that review, I think I’ll pass and maybe make some actual smores this year.
@RiotDemon
@heartny never seen those.
@heartny - I actually like the thin Oreo mint cookies better than thin mints, I think.
@heartny I very disappointed those aren’t called S’moreos.
@metaphore - You missed your calling!
(That is, if “cookie name bestower” is not included in your job description).
@metaphore I have only referred to them as S’Moreos and they are fabulous!!
@KDemo I work for Nabisco (Mondelez.) I agree that the mint Oreo Thins are delicious, and possibly better than thin mints (not a spokesperson, I deep-down-inside detest whom I work for.)
@hems79 - Sorry to hear you’re not happy with work. Really sad when you spend so much of your life there. Are you an elf? 'Cause if so, you might have other options.
.
eta - Will Ferrell has appropriated the elf gif market.
@KDemo No elves in Nabisco, they ain’t welcome in these parts.
@metaphore We call them S’MOreos here at work, however you’re right by saying they missed a golden opportunity.
/giphy The way the cookie crumbles.
@thismyusername did you know that the keebler factory makes Girl Scout Cookies?
@RiotDemon shhh, people won’t pay the premium if they know it’s elves instead of child labor.
@RiotDemon - Really? Are they sold in stores under different names?

Publix grocery stores makes a grasshopper cookie that is basically a square thin mint. I remember liking them better than thin mints. I remember in the last thread where we talked about girl about cookies, someone mentioned that thin mints seemed to of changed over the years.
@RiotDemon - Funny article, thanks.
@RiotDemon
the taste probably changed when they changed bakers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girl_Scout_Cookies#Production
@thismyusername I work for Nabisco, however sneak these Keebler cookies in my shopping cart once in a while.
/giphy Don’t tell my boss.
@hems79 You uh, happen to have any pallets of snacks around that you don’t want? I’ll gladly take them.
@Mehsturbator Funny thing… We don’t get shit for free. We have a “company store” where we can buy product for roughly 15-20% off.
Cookies are evil. These look quite evil. I will have to be in their presence and consider them closely to know for sure.
@f00l Yeah probably will take quite a few boxes of the stuff to thoroughly test them for level of evil. Need to have a scientific random sampling. Make sure you run the number of variables (evilness, I am sure, is a composite judgement made up of a number of variables) through the “statistical power” formula to find out just how many boxes you will need to buy to have a large enough sample.
@Kidsandliz
Running my Evilness Measuring Laboratory is expensive. I am working on learning how to make sad eyes at potential donors to get them to do the cookie purchasing. Obviously I would not wish to spend my precious research funds on potentially evil products.

@f00l - Evil cookie
@f00l - Misfortune cookie
@f00l - Prankster cookie

Rumor has it that these will sellout during preorders. Won’t be any stock for the scouts standing outside of Walmart in March. Also, they are limited edition and cost $5. $1 more expensive than the standard cookies.
@jimmyd103 - Awww. Wonder why they don’t just make more? Oh well, we can drink instead.
