Always AND it has to be a certain kind/brand. My hair is curly and conditioner is essential, but I only use a specific type made for curly hair. It’s amazing.
@katbyter I didn’t link to it because when I gush about a product I really like it usually comes across as spammy. Haha Anyway, I use the shampoo, conditioner, and then the All-in-One leave in LUS Brands Love Ur Curls. It’s a little pricy, but it lasts a lot longer than anything else I’ve ever used because you only use a little bit with a ton of water. It has made me actually love having curly hair again. A bit of a learning process and trial and error in the beginning, but I’ve got the application process that works best for my hair down now and every day is a good hair down. https://lusbrands.ca
@pooflady are you sure it’s the conditioner? I have super sensitive skin and for me it was usually the shampoo. Once I changed to a sulfate free shampoo for eczema, my scalp chilled out a lot. You shouldn’t have to put conditioner on your scalp, just the length.
@OldCatLady@therealjrn there’s a handful of days that I might turn the heat on at night. That’s probably because my windows are original and let the cold in.
@Fen_Star But honestly, no. My hair gets washed at least once a day and (sometimes) dried with a towel. That is it. No heat or dyes, so I don’t need conditioner.
Normally, when I have long hair, it’s always. And let it sit for a long time. But now I have very short hair, so I have to skip conditioner if I want volume.
@jhamowy When it was short, I colored it, I permed it, I curled it to loosen up the perm curls, I trimmed it, I frosted it, I had fun with all the different looks.
Now, working with it means combing the tangles out (fifteen minutes of just gentle combing) and trying to get a decent braid centered at the back of my head.
Or wrap it in a bun on the top of my head so it doesn’t drag in the litter box or cat food bowls.
I always use a hair conditioner when I wash my hair. I started growing my hair six months ago. Now they’re below my ears! Never dry your hair with a hair dryer, as a high temperature harms the hair. I recently had an air conditioner installed in my room from aircon service and I turn it off every time I go into the room after a shower. It is better to be at room temperature, so that the hair is not injured when it dries.

@PurplePawprints you’re supposed to tell us which kind in the comments. Inquiring curly girl minds want to know!

It’s mixed in with the shampoo… 2 in 1 kinda situation.
@shahnm Same here.
@shahnm Same here. Most conditioners make my scalp itch. Suave 2 in 1 is the least itchy.

@RiotDemon For a couple of years I used T-gel shampoo and extra-strength T-gel. It helped some but not as much as using the Suave 2 in 1.
I am a man. My shampoo and body wash has conditioner. My body and hair (but I repeat myself) are always soft and smell good too.
@hchavers I’m a man and I use “women’s” shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, and perfume.
I always need my air conditioned in the summer.
@therealjrn I second that notion!
@therealjrn It’s the tenth day of Christmas, and it’s been in the 80s all week. In Florida, our A/C stays on all year.

I use the cheapest conditioner I can find to shave my head. I prefer it to soap or shampoo.
I barely know her!
@Fen_Star But honestly, no. My hair gets washed at least once a day and (sometimes) dried with a towel. That is it. No heat or dyes, so I don’t need conditioner.
@Fen_Star Same here. Don’t need. Don’t use. Don’t do anything other than wash it, brush it out and let it air dry.
I believe this is one place Mitch Hedberg was wrong. 1 is big enough for 2 in my shampoo.
I’m bald, you insensitive clod.
@smyle I am too. This poll is discriminatory. Clearly the moderators are hairists!
This post is sarcastic.

Condition her to do what exactly?
There’s hardly anything left to condition except my beard.
Conditioner’s a moot point when whatever’s still there is buzzed to a quarter inch.
Sure, as a Man, it’s included in the Shampoo.
Must bee sulfate free to keep doen the frizz n fly aways!! I like Loreal. Its in a stand up tube. A different color tube for each of ur hair needs!!
Conditioner is a must if I want to detangle my hair before it needs to be washed again.
Butt length hair. Always use conditioner. Nexxus Humectress.
Dry blot out of the shower. Wait until it’s almost dried on it’s own (never, never, never use heat) before I comb it out.
Wide tooth combs. The only brush I use (rarely) is one of those brushes sold here.
My hair looks really cool, but it’s as boring as hell to work with.
@lisaviolet “work with” sounds very involved

Boring work. lol.
I use Air Conditioner all the time.

@julcas815 does it now?
