Community de-meh-lition- calculator edition
12So, after seeing lots of teardowns and @harrison's great de-meh-litions, and being disappointed that no more were happening, I took it upon myself to make one.
I grabbed a broken calculator from work, and broke it down for my (and hopefully others) enjoyment.
The calculator:

Back of the board:
There's a piece of metal on the back cover that gives the calculator weight:
And finally, the front side of the board:

Cool
If you like teardowns, I watch all of Dave Jones' videos. He's an Electronics Engineer and does a teardown nearly every Tuesday (a.k.a, Teardown Tuesdays). His latest one was a pacemaker monitor:
He has many other videos that are cool to watch too. Here's his website: http://www.eevblog.com/
Wait, I don't have to take apart what we're selling? I can just tear open any old thing I have around? Why didn't anyone tell me sooner?
@harrison
@harrison Sure, why not? Besides, wouldn't it be fun to see how many VW parts are in a Porsche?
@harrison I personally want to see the merch for sale torn up, not just any old thing. We're not searching the web for teardown videos. @dashcloud was just filling the void that we've all been feeling since your last teardown.
@narfcake not really in the mood for death by @snapster today
@harrison Ya, but if you claim it's for both Science and the Community, can he really be mad?
@narfcake I'd actually like to turn the thing into a VW. I took all the badging off a while back (that's as close to a de-meh-lition as I get):
@snapster Well, if you didn't really mind that extra second getting to 60 mph you could have bought a Touareg Hybrid. Or you could simply pretend it was 1987 and steal the VW badges off some poor schmuck's car and slap them on the Cayenne!
@bluedyn Forgot to say this earlier, but thank you for posting this. I feel the same way. Looking forward to future teardowns of products.
@dashcloud I appreciate you trying to inspire @harrison to restart the destruction. Thank you too.
