It's a shame that this title was shipped before the update was ready. It's no Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, but it's a good (but not great) game that really appeals to me.
@JerseyFrank Yeah, the initial decision to make you sit through AI enemy turns was baffling. It's great that they patched that out, but I can't imagine it didn't come up in playtesting.
@Starblind It's sped up, not removed. It's not terribly long. My turns easily last 10x the length of the enemy turns, and as you wipe out enemies, their turns take less time. At 1x speed, it'd be annoying. At 2x (3x on "New 3ds XL"), it's nothing to complain about. The justified complaint is that the when the enemy moves it switches player context between characters, but they make some terrible choices as to what is important for the player to see (or more often, what not to see).
@DrunkCat About what I expected. :)
I heard they're making a sequel where instead of playing as Abe Lincoln you play as Grover Cleveland. The working title is "Cleveland S.T.E.A.M.E.R."
@Starblind that was a stretch

Been thinking about buying it, but I'm still not done with Majoras or Pokemon
