I’ll totally come over and help, on the condition that the ‘finders keepers’ rule is in effect.
Otherwise, I recommend the ‘large outta the way pile’ method. Basically you just throw everything in a place where you don’t normally walk and call it a day.
Cleaning your room?! I’ve been having to clean an entire house for the past >40 yrs. Ugh. Just do it. Clear the floor, clear the bed. Throw away any trash laying around. Put away stuff sitting out that’s not supposed to be. Wipe dresser/table tops. Clean mirrors & run a vacuum.
I actually had a hard time doing this with my bedroom prior to moving 2 years ago with stuff on the floor and on nightstands and the dresser. Since then, I had it figured out and I’ve been pretty clean since (any clutter can be eliminated in under a minute).
How? I planned out parts of the room that needed to be cleaned, wrote them down, and crossed them off as I finished cleaning them ( because it was more satisfying to cross it off than to put a little check mark next to the item).
Examples: Right side of bed, left side of bed, top of dresser, left nightstand, right nightstand.
It took a couple of days, but as a result, I keep my “clutter” to one side of the room (away from the door) and anything on the floor is to be sorted ranging from laundry (in a basket) or various things I will try to sell or donate. Everything else I keep in a closet and drawers to repeat the process again.
As a bonus, I have absolutely nothing underneath the bed as that would be cheating.

you could hire someone with a name like vinney the torch to do it for you,

Time to marathon podcasts. Listen while you clean.

@JT954
Are you some sort of advanced and evolved being? Humans are not capable of this achievement.
@JT954 Damn, the anal-retentive cellar dweller. I don’t think Phil Hartman did that one.
@f00l It helps to have two closets (why it has a wall separating the two I don’t know) otherwise I would be shoving things under the bed.
I still have the list as a reminder in case things get out of hand.
I put on some music with my surround system in the living room so I can hear it clearly around the house.
I try to make a rule not to sit down and look at my phone because then I’ll be sitting there too long.
If I get truly tired, I’ll take a break, but I’ll make a plan for whatever I’m cleaning next, so it’ll help me to stay motivated to clean the rest.
That depends. How big is the room?
@thekenya
You seem to have our sympathy. Mine, certainly.
