@SteveOOO I bet if you work hard you can come up with a corresponding hero in the field for each name on the shirt. Kahlo might be the toughest, though.
@MariSama@werehatrack Oh, I was wondering why Percy Bysshe Shelley made the shirt. I guess that Shelley is his wife. OTOH, I’m not sure why she would be there, since her main claims to fame are secondly the novel Frankenstein but primarily being Percy’s wife. (There are numerous female writers I would rate higher.)
But I did enjoy the film Young Frankenstein, so kudos to her for the novel!
In addition, it is somewhat imperialist of American English to impose its gender neutrality upon vocabulary, as that is not the case with many other languages that are inherently gendered, particularly those of modern Europe, namely Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, etc.
Can’t you all take a joke and sarcasm. BTW I am “proficient” (not fluent) in a few of those languages. They are called romance languages. Not just modern europe. Hard to call Romania a modern European country.
Edit: I was told to comment more to be a more valuable VMP to, wait for the trickle down of the meh gods. What is the point? If I wanted this I would go to reddit. It was so dripping in sarcasm I could use one of the towels morningsave shills.
@KNmeh7@MariSama
If you’re going to call out Romance languages as a proper name, at least use proper case. And I know what a Romance language is, I was catering to the audience that would more readily understand “French”, “Italian”, and “Spanish”, and know they are inherently gendered, rather than the proper, more scholarly term of “Romance Languages”.
I was trying to refrain from mentioning the backlash to the peculiarly American invention of and forced usage (meaning an improper fit, not authoritarian decree) of “LatinX” instead of “Latino” or (if exclusively feminine) “Latina”, which is being wholeheartedly rejected by the Latin diaspora. Which itself is a blatantly colonial reference of European origin, and inherently excludes the indigenous people of the Americas.

Holy shirt Batman!
@yakkoTDI No, Robin, I’m staying away from shirts with holes.
Don’t wanna be a superstar,
They gotta habit of dying young,
Just let me be in my Mediocritee
Yeah, just let me be in my Mediocritee…
@eeterrific
So is that supposed to be Linda Lovelace and Hyapatia Lee on the heros shirt?
@SteveOOO Ada Lovelace
@SteveOOO I bet if you work hard you can come up with a corresponding hero in the field for each name on the shirt. Kahlo might be the toughest, though.
Meh. I have shirts. It’s too hot to wear them, though. And with your not terrible shipping speeds lately it’ll still be too hot when these show up.
@fuzzmanmatt I too live in the nude.
Cheap shirts for tricks.
@hchavers the cheaper the shit the better
@mexicantacos My lunch at taco bell disagrees.
Since all I buy from meh these days is t-shirts and stroopwafels, how about a stroopwafel shirt?
(To clarify, I mean a t-shirt with the image of a stroopwafel on it, not a t-shirt made from stroopwafels, but I’d probably buy that too.)
@awk second this. Whatever bizarre thing may come from this, if it is offered, I will buy it.
Ooooh, so I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten nearly every meh shirt but only have the red and silver metallic. The gold will be a welcome addition.
@shiranissosexy And that is exactly why I ordered the gold.
I’m down for the dragon one since I already have the heroes shirt.

Engineering
Tesla Faraday da Vinci Marconi Maxwell
@tweezak The other categories seem to have six. I nominate Archimedes for a position on this shirt.
@phendrick @tweezak Brunel
It’s the new Model T…
@2many2no You heard it wrong . . . he said “color”, not “colour”.
I wish we could get more than 3 I want more
Visual proof: MATH ≠ meh.
@phendrick LSAT question:
Which one of these is not like the others?
a. Math lab
b. Meth lab
c. Meh lab
d. Mediocre lab
e. Mensa coffee shop
Does anyone know if the shirts actually say the word “math” or “science” at the top? Or is that just for sales/display purposes ?
@seespotbark Yes, I’m pretty sure someone does know.
@seespotbark yes they do. See my somewhat worn out Science shirt I’m trying to post.
@phendrick @seespotbark, I don’t know!! ,…wait,… looking at that t-shirt below, it does, so they does!!
@phendrick touche
@kerryzero awesome. Thanks!
VAN MURALS! GROUND SQUIRRELS! SPIT CURLS! AWESOME!
@seespotbark it’s inspired by this:
@seespotbark i was hoping they didn’t have the word across the top
. I love these math science heroes shirts. I wear them to any STEM event I’m involved in. They are getting raggedy.
@kerryzero (shirt in this image is being stretched out by me holding it so you can see all the words. Sorry bout that. It’s late.)
@kerryzero Nice!
Now you’ve gotten a backup shirt, right?
@kerryzero Do not apologize for stretching out the shirt. I am now an official STEM fan.
C’mon, can we have nice designs that are not on black?
@alose agreed! I like the Woot dark heather grey and dark heather blue shirts because they are a cotton poly blend…more comfy.
@alose The dog hair in my house approves of this color.
@alose Black shirts matter.
@alose We have designs on Mediocritee that aren’t black right now.
Another science shirt to add to my collection? Yes, please!
The Rutherford model? Really?
Who chooses the heroes names? Thank you for making me MEH, now I will never own one
@umbrellacorp
<sarcasm> Def looks to be someone whose opinion I would embrace.
(But, just the opinion.) </sarcasm>
I like how the Heroes shirt has a list of Heroines on it.
@MariSama
The symbol in the middle is a clue, just in case.
@werehatrack Yeah, but they’re still Heroines.
@MariSama Didn’t you get the memo? Gener-specific nouns are uncouth. Waitress/waiter = server. Steward/stewardess = attendant.
I don’t know what I am supposed to do with hero/heroine yet, but I will change when the powers that be select the term. “Good people,” maybe?
@KNmeh7 Nah, I didn’t get any memo. Just used a dictionary.
@MariSama @werehatrack Oh, I was wondering why Percy Bysshe Shelley made the shirt. I guess that Shelley is his wife. @KNmeh7 @MariSama
Hero is also gender-neutral. Just as actor is.
In addition, it is somewhat imperialist of American English to impose its gender neutrality upon vocabulary, as that is not the case with many other languages that are inherently gendered, particularly those of modern Europe, namely Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, etc.
@MariSama @mike808 Holy shit. “Imperialist” “I used a dictionary”

@KNmeh7 @mike808 My original posts were also short sarcastic quips. So sorry to offend you, your highness.
@MariSama @mike808 When you backpedal on a bicycle it gets you nowhere.
@KNmeh7 @MariSama

But hey, Princess Karen, you do you.
Meh is doing us dirty, 4 D&D shirts and a 3 item limit? Bruh come on.
I own WAY too many t-shirts, probably ~200, collected for ~45 years now. I have teetotaled.
$5 sure, $12-$15 no thanks. Meh used to be good for inexpensive shirts, now it’s just another TeeSpring or whatever
If $15 is a discount, how much are they normally?
I guess you get what you pay for, the fabric is very thin and the shirts shrink badly. Not your best work Meh!
