13Who would have thought a comment or two about flashlights would evolve into a ridiculously long thread about Keanu Reeves and Stanley Kubrick with a guest visit from Princess Diana? You never know when a post is going to go off the rails. We’re just cruising along, having a nice calm discussion about this or that topic when someone (probably @therealjrn) interjects some random thought and all hell breaks loose.
“Damn, I don’t know which item to vote for. The shirts are cool and all but y’know, flashlights…”
“Me so horny, me love you long time.”
“Hey, let’s find pictures of Keanu Reeves making the Kubrick crazy face!”
And I’m over here thinking, “What the hell just happened?!”
But that’s the charm of meh and it’s faithful forumers. I don’t know about the rest of you, but outside of original woot, this has to be the longest I’ve been active in any kind of forums. Sure, I may have joined that weird car or pc forum 10 years ago while looking for advice or recommendations, but I hardly ever pop back in there these days. Rarely a day goes by when I don’t check in on the forums here. It’s become such an integral piece of my life that I’d feel pretty lost should it ever disappear. The offbeat topics that appear, the poll questions that tend to garner either 3 or 103 responses, the monthly goat nominations where you’re going to go now and vote for that first guy listed, etc… It’s pretty obvious what makes this forum so great - the mehtizens. So here’s a little thank you to all of you that contribute (and those in the past that got us here). We know that others tend to lurk and just read without commenting. If you’re doing so, please feel free to speak up and join the conversation. Everyone is welcome here! (Except TwistedLisa. Fuck you evil Lisa.)
Oh yeah, there’s a voting thing going on. Meh T-Shirts did something good. Flashlights did something bad. 26 to 20 win. Bubba Bottles and Comforters will smack each around for a while today. Go vote. Blah blah blah…

I voted comforters cuz I like my weighted blanket and have never knowingly been within 500 miles of a bubba container. But because Bubba has partisans and blankies have hardly any, I’m offering up a peace offering of the cutest “bubba” giphy I could find:

I actually like them both, enjoying a nice cold or hot beverage while snuggled in a comforter …
