I am super impressed with the sound quality for the price. There is a basic equalizer if you want to adjust the bass. Just sayin. Checks the boxes for me.
Bought 3 for other peeps, 1 was dead but didn’t find out until months later. Sounds like the company is either defunct, almost defunct, or almost non-existent. I was worried but Meh refunded me on the purchase for the bad one. whew
1x Cavalier Maverick Portable Bluetooth + Wi-Fi Speaker w/ Charging Base
1x USB-C Charging Cable
1x USB-C Charging Case for Speaker
1x USB AC Adaptor
1x Instruction Booklet
If my math is right, this is $47.20, today only, over on sister morningsave.com. $59 over there, less “THANKFUL” 20% code = $47.20. $1.80 is better in your pocket than Meh’s, right?
@sammydog01 yep - saw “11/27/2020” but not the 12am part! Bummer I saw that code too late to use it to buy yet more USB battery packs… There are a shiteload of Mophies over there.
I received two of these speakers today. Unfortunately, the reviews that said that they had weak bass were correct. They really don’t sound very good, especially compared to my second generation Echo Dots which are surprisingly good for their size.
Not only that, but after signing into Alexa they are not seen as speakers. They are considered Alexa devices for the purpose of talking to them, but you cannot direct any of your music to them directly within the Alexa app. This is after a firmware update I performed on one.
Has anyone figured out a way for them to show up as actual Alexa speakers? Without that, you cannot use multi-room audio or stereo pair them within Alexa.
Received mine today. Purchased two of them.
No way these are worth $200 or over. For $50 each they’re okay (meh?). Kind of unusual when switching between bluetooth and wifi. I’m going to try to pair two together but I don’t think it supports bluetooth tws.
This item worked great for about 4 months…until it literally didn’t work after that. It was on the base charger and only used about a dozen times…then it just stopped taking a charge from the base and from the USB-C input on the back. Attempts to reach the phone number listed results in an automated redirect telling you to go the support website, so don’t expect any human interaction.
I was so tight about no support (after exhausting all the troubleshooting steps already) that I called the corporate location at SDI Technologies. The operator got me to a line that rang 12 times and then gave me an automated “Goodbye.” I called back and entered a random series of numbers to get an extension & reached a person inside who actually looked for resource, but found none in that building.
I did send an email from the support site, but I never got an acknowledgement from ANY ticket system (like Zendesk) confirming my submission for help–only a number on the site confirming the submission.
This whole customer support experience was a smoke show. No human help and an email swinging in the breeze that may not get a reply.
I have plugged the device back in, checked all my connections on the charger base, reset the device 3 times–and it just turns on…then in less than 10 seconds, turns off. Dead.
Will this interfere with the Google, Facebook or Government tracking systems?
@yakkoTDI it doesn’t appear to support Google Home, so yes!
Meh, resolutions that make big life changes are done on New Years Day, not Thanksgiving. What is this with name-brand, high-quality items?
wheres the irk
So it’s like an Amazon Tap, but instead, kludgy looking.
We love our Tap.
Please bring knives back!
As if I needed yet another reason to dislike Sonos. I’d love to hear the full story behind that C&D.
No
Looks like an Amazon Tap but prettier. I like my Tap.
Did the Meh site burp just a few minutes ago?

is the top of it a volume knob? Edit – never mind, the answer appears to be yes, the Amazon video showed it.
Holy crap step one was pushing it. Then they got progressively worse

Very disappointed.
