Circus peanuts are delicious, light and fun. Candy corn is syrupy, heavy and gross. What, do you not like marshmallows either?

@cattylaq @joelmw I must say, i don’t care for marshmallows (unless they’re in a Fluffernutter sandwich in the form of Fluff), but my father indoctrinated his kids into the wonderful world of circus peanuts. They even inspired the creation of Lucky Charms!

Alas, Lucky Charms are supposed to be gluten-free, but General Mills is famously sketchy. It’s a whole goddamned thing.

I used to love those marshmallowy little fuckers, and would even mythologize around the weird little shapes. I could create a cult around the iconography of Oreos, Lucky Charms etc.–because that’s how my brain works.

@joelmw Yeah, they might be gluten free(ish), since it’s technically oat cereal, but if i had a real, potentially dangerous allergy, i definitely wouldn’t trust that they had a factory dedicated to all the protocols required to be totally safe. Seems like something a leprechaun would try to convince us of!

@cattylaq @joelmw @Lynnerizer They’d go out of business if they depended on me to buy that stuff, i used to pick the marshmallows out of my Lucky Charms & just eat the cereal. Same thing with Raisin Bran, picked out the raisins, loved the cereal. My sister was the happy beneficiary of my leftovers!
