@jbartus perhaps the Qi ones are stronger, i saw videos of them working with otterbox, so i just use the mat to easily charge the battery packs, Meh.

@Yoda_Daenerys yeah I am going to too, I was just noting that it would have been swell to have a third power pad for my phone.

The Qi ones are hit and miss too, for example Samsung’s flat pad chargers don’t really charge it but the new stand + fast charger model has the power to charge it. Not quite as fast as if there were no case but fast enough.

@mfladd I know I don’t have to I want to.

If it makes it any better you can think of it as decluttering my life for your sons enjoyment. I have two other iPods that currently occupy a drawer unused and this one’s destined to join them once I get done listening to the music on it. In the day and age of smartphones the iPod has largely become superfluous and as a self-employed individual I can’t afford not to have my phone with me so it’s not like I would ever choose to use an iPod at the gym or anything. Frankly I hate wasting stuff so it would make me feel a whole lot better if your son would make use of it for me to send it to you than to stick it in a drawer with my other two.

Also just to clarify when I said assuming you wanted it for him I meant it in the sense that you were willing to accept it entering your life as opposed to it being unwelcome. I would never suspect you of pretending your son wants something just to acquire it for yourself especially since you had no reason to expect me to offer it

This whole iPod discussion has given me an interesting idea. It probably wouldn’t be strictly speaking legal but it could be kind of fun to acquire an MP3 player and mail it around from member-to-member with each member contributing a playlist to the player. At the end it could be sent to Meh HQ or something. Sort of a crowd sourced community soundtrack

i think you have an interesting idea with shipping mp3 players around, however the expense might be prohibitive, we could just as easy put music on a shared google drive, but yea legal stuff and drm prolly gets in the way of that plan

this is the 2nd 2G 2gb iPod i’ve distributed to an aMeh.rican, for the same reason you mention (drawer clutter), but with the added benefit of sharing some awesome music, IMHO - hook it up to that badass yamaha and listen away

we used these balaclavas on a family ski trip to tahoe this past winter, we had several laughs interchanging baklava in the sentence
