@Mehlachi they literally sell travel soap containers. I got two for $1 at the dollar tree (back before inflation hit them…) They’re smaller than body wash and don’t count as liquid for flying.
I use bar soap because liquid soaps generally need preservatives, which I have to avoid. I can get bar soap without preservatives, dyes and fragrance, but can’t say the same about liquid soap – at an affordable price.
I have never washed more of my body than my hands with a bar of soap, and I hope never to have to. I don’t even like using bars of soap on my hands…greatly prefer liquid soap and wish more hotels offered it!
I share the same sentiment as those that have posted before me… In addition to all of the other, already mentioned, reasons not to use bar soap, I feel like bar soap dries my skin out. And I need all the moisturization that I can get…
Am I the only one pointing out the environmental impact of all this water we’re shipping across the world when a simple bar of soap would reduce the weight and volume? Also it comes in plastic bottles, whereas soap comes in cardboard (much easier to recycle.) For the earth, I chose a bar of soap.
I’ve heard in some eastern cultures, the sponge is female shaped and body washing is somewhat of an experience. I’m not sure I’d be too concerned over whether the soap originated in bar or liquid form under those circumstances as long as it gets me squeaky clean.
Never use bar of soap. Body wash doesn’t get hair all over it.
@Mehlachi The hair is the best part! Nothing like a rousing game of beard or pube to start the day!
@yakkoTDI fair enough. But also, what about soap poisoning?
@Mehlachi I use Ivory so it is taking a lot longer to go blind.
@yakkoTDI Well that’s good to hear. I’m still not sold on the bar of soap. What about traveling? It seems difficult to take with you.

I prefer to wash my body instead of my soap. A clean body helps with the women.
I’ve NEVER heard anyone in the Men’s shower say “Don’t drop the Body Wash!!” so it’s Body Wash for me dude!!
/giphy don’t drop the soap
Depends on where I am taking the shower.
@hchavers Yep I agree
Using a bar of soap is akin to writing a check. It’s just old fashioned! I’ll bet not many under 30 even know how to write a check, or use bar soap.

Anybody remember this?
/image soap on a rope
@pmarin Oh those are actually pretty nice.
I was thinking more of the 1970’s US version, and SNL’s variation Pope on a Rope.
@pmarin Actually useful for someone who’s had surgery and can’t maneuver to pick up dropped soap in the shower.

Depends on if I bought the soap from my friend who makes soap or online from Ren Skincare.
Not only do I only use bar soaps, when I had hair, I only used soap for my hair as well. All y’all are a bunch of softies.
@zinimusprime
/eightball coincidence?
Outlook not so good
@chienfou Hahaha, if it were so, the rest of my body would’ve followed suit…
bar soap and bar shampoo for all of the environmental reasons
Another vote for Ivory/bar soap.
I use what I’ve got at the moment.
