I’m looking forward to the 12th? (15th? something like that) annual Soup Bowl Party.
It started with a friend’s (at the time) little boy asking another of our friends if they were having a party for this Soup Bowl he kept hearing about. He said: “We weren’t, but that sounds like a great idea, let’s do it!”
Folks bring their favorite soup, or something else, or just show up. The game is on in the other room, but most of us don’t care. A lot of folks that have moved in and out of the neighborhood over the years come back for the Soup Bowl Party, even if it’s just to say hello for a few minutes, and that’s always fun.
So now we’re a decade plus into the tradition, and the little boy is 17 or 18 now. We still thank him every year for starting the party. Thanks Josh!
There was no “I don’t care at all” option.
None of the above. Sports don’t interest me.
Me too: I’d support the Phillies as the local team, but I notice they’re not listed.
Donna Vekic
The lion. Or the elephant. Whatever the big game happens to be, i hope it wins…
@shahnm Can’t be the lion. They’ve never been the big game. Can’t be a Jaguar either. Same reason.

I couldn’t care less as long as no one sets my car on fire during the celebration.
Fuck the NBA right now. And NHL.
Guess I’d like the Rams to win from the underdawg perspective.

Sony Michel is on Pats

@blaineg This is a cool tradition.
It’s nice that I don’t even have to try to catch the ads, as they’ll be up on Youtube tomorrow. (If they aren’t there already.)
@blaineg We were watching Amazon’s Superbowl ad yesterday (Saturday) while streaming the History Channel’s Project Bluebook. They don’t wait anymore.
And of course:
I’m super pumped for the bulldog to win the Puppybowl.
@Eskieguy I always hope to see Border Collies and scruffy mutts doing well.

i think my favorite thing about superbowl sunday is all of the people who come out to loudly talk about how they don’t care about sports
Team Fluff. Or Team Ruff. Can’t decide.
