@Kyeh Once in a blue moon I get a craving for Planters Dry Roasted in the Jar. Other brands don’t do it.
During COVID I went through about 3 large jars, haven’t wanted it since
@Cerridwyn I’m with you. I’m not crazy about it either, though I might take a small bite when giving it to my doggies for a treat.
Funny since I DO like peanuts in any other form, esp. boiled.
@medz I’m retired now so don’t worry too much about interviews. I used to drink a cup of Chamomile tea and put a 100mg of Lions Mane tincture under my tongue before going to interviews or before doing presentations. I could see a peanut butter cup as a benefit too. Pro tip: Take the cup out of the wrapper before dressing for the interview.
@rustyh3 Well I have moved on to the Natural Creamy JIF for my PB choice. I nearly everyday have a PC & … (Honey, Banana or Jelly) sandwich! I do bake an awesome Banana Nut Bread, in which I put Chocolate, Butterscotch & PB chips in it! YUM!
@mycya4me I make my banana bread with butterscotch chips too, and chopped walnuts or pecans! It’s the best! Oh, and a bit of grated orange peel for an extra bit of flavor.
@rustyh3 If you use a clean spoon every time you fish one out your family should deal with it. If you’re double dipping I sorta have to agree with them.
I don’t eat much in the way of sweets anymore, but when I do I aim for higher quality than most commercial offerings. I’m hoping my order here will qualify under those guidelines. These will go directly in the freezer (hoping this extends the usage life) which is my go-to anyways with any nut-butter cups.

A jar of Kirkland Organic Peanut Butter and a Hersheys Milk Chocolate candy bar; leave me alone with these two ingredients and the world becomes a better place.

The only real problem, if you call it a problem, is moderation control. But, the size of the chocolate bar is self controlling.
@accelerator This is one of my favorite PB and chocolate delivery methods. I often split this with my wife. Break off a piece of chocolate and either dip it or use a knife to load it with PB. Sometimes I want just a bit of PB on it and sometimes I put almost too much PB on it!
Remember PB is a protein. So it is very good for you! Especially when you get the Natural/ Organic stuff.
But you still must read the labels for what all they put in it. If you can really read the ingredients w/o a degree in chemistry.
I have seen stores even have a grinding machine so you can make your own Nut Butter.
Peanut butter is a good thing in my estimation. Dark chocolate is also a good thing. Together, as far as I am concerned, they are not. If milk chocolate is involved, that’s even worse.
If you like them, please remove any that are in my presence, with my encouragement.
Like others, I enjoy the Trader Joes PB cups, but sometimes I want the dark and sometimes the light.
A local (but chain) grocery store used to carry a bag of similar PB cups that were very good.
Can anyone explain why so many people mispronounce it? There were TV commercials with the pronunciation clear. “Reese’s Pieces” doesn’t rhyme if it’s pronounced “ree-see”.
Tangentially, last month I scored a jar of Jif Dark Roast peanut butter, but I haven’t opened it yet. Soon.
I’ve been told it’s available in Canada for now but could appear in the US soon.
Reese’s!
There is no such thing. Peanut butter is an abomination
@Cerridwyn So are sour grapes
@Cerridwyn Heathen!
@Cerridwyn
I demand you apologize for saying such a terrible thing.
@Cerridwyn @tinamarie1974 please don’t let @charliedoggo see this BLASPHEMI!!

Yeah I know it’s misspelled, it’s a “Roadkill” thing…IYKYK
@Cerridwyn only if it induces anaphylactic shock. Perhaps they could add epinephrine to the ingredient list.
@Cerridwyn I don’t agree with you, but I’d like to know what about it you dislike so strongly. Texture? Taste? Smell? Color?
@Cerridwyn My husband hated it too. Funny, because he liked (unmushed) peanuts!

@Cerridwyn @llangley @tinamarie1974 PB, who has pb??? I LOVE pb!!!
If you dont like it, please share with me!
Woof!!

Trader Joe’s dark chocolate
A cup of peanut butter is good enough for a snack.
@tweezak That’s a BIG snack at over 1520 calories and 129 grams of fat. Perhaps a tablespoon of peanut butter would be better to start with.
@accelerator You don’t need to convince me.

None. I don’t like them.
Mr Beast … try it and thank me later
@somf69 had some of his chocolate bars. Not sweet enough. And I didn’t win a million bucks.
@medz @somf69 Yeah, I got a bag of his miniature bars in a day-after-Halloween sale & they were okay, but I wouldn’t get them again.
I wish they didn’t have the ridges. The ridges around the edge break off and little pieces of chocolate melt on my new interview shirt.
They should be like rolos; smooth round shape. No chocolate flakes when unwrapped.
@medz
Have you considered not eating peanut butter cups before going for an interview?
But I agree with your sentiment.
@medz matter of fact, this is probably why the reese’s easter eggs and Xmas trees are so popular; no ridges.
Reese’s Minis

They have the better ratio of chocolate to peanut butter
Resese’s taste good but don’t THEY take off the paper cup?
We talking B cups or C cups?
@phendrick This is PB cups we’re talking about.
@phendrick Are you sure they are not one of the A cups?
@algae1221 I guess this time PB is better than PC.
@algae1221 @phendrick Mac people would probably say that PB is better than PC.
I think Reese’s have changed and are not as good as they used to be.
Last few years I just throw dark chocolate drops into a jar of fresh ground peanut butter and fish them out with a spoon.
My family pretty much thinks I am horrible as we now keep a peanut butter container for me and one for everyone else.
@rustyh3 they HAVE changed. It’s CHOCOLATE CANDY and PEANUT BUTTER CREME. I’m done

@llangley and thank you, makes a lot of sense now.
YUM!
POPSOCKETS! SPROCKETS! DAVY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@algae1221 @rustyh3 Hey, having your own peanut butter jar is a GOOD thing!
@algae1221 @Kyeh @rustyh3 Yep - my wife doesn’t like peanut butter (or coffee - but she’s otherwise fairly normal
). So the whole 48oz jar is all mine!
@algae1221 @Kyeh @macromeh @rustyh3 I am not a Fan of Coffee, Tea of drink with CO2 in them!
Not a fan of peanut butter. Chocolate is very good by itself.
@olperfesser But the PB makes it even better!
@mycya4me Only if you like the combination. Some of us don’t.
@mycya4me @werehatrack
@werehatrack I LOVE PB!
@mycya4me I like PB. But not with chocolate.
@werehatrack sad. But more for me!
Trader Joe’s dark chocolate
I will pick dark chocolate over milk chocolate 10 out of 10 times.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. (Not the egg shaped cups. The M&M Peanut shaped eggs). They are crack in a bag.
@jeffrlamb WOW, I just might Need to try them!
@jeffrlamb @mycya4me They’re pretty good! I usually try to get them when they show up at Sam’s or Costco.
Reese’s Pieces.
Fairly reasonable price for a huge bag over at the jungle website.

Meh. I prefer to DIY:

If you like peanut butter, and especially if you don’t like coffee (you’re wrong btw, but you do you) add it to your profile in elfster for next year.
you never know

Those little ones from Aldi.
These must be Yankee thing
