I was gonna post whatever the first video result for each one is, but first one in an’ Googles already like “I dunno what the fuck ur on about” so nuts to that plan.
@mfladd The dude looks like he fell asleep on his sister-in-law’s sofa while his niece & nephew decided today was the day to try out their new markers…on him.
There was that nice young man recently that had a song about how well he could dance and how well you would be impressed by his dancing if you could see it, and how we all ought to dance more often, and wouldn’t that just be swell! I liked that one.
Oh, also, there was that song from the animated movie about how it was a time for dancing, and how much the singer liked dancing with his girlfriend or whatever, and then there was a break, but it was still basically party party party all through the song, and it was pretty much a great time to listen to it. I also liked that one!
I thought the fact that I saw a song by “BBQ $nax” and still just assumed these were real songs said something about my obliviousness re: current music.
But I found it surprising that seemingly a majority here are in the same boat as me (although I am sure more than a few are just playing dumb)
I don’t recognize any of those songs, but I’ma vote for basically anything by Anderson Paak. That said, nothing takes a party to the next level like Tight Fittin Jeans by Conway Twitty!
@givancic The folks at meh understand their core demographic: people who don’t go to parties (or really, interact voluntarily with people except via cyberspace) and wouldn’t know a real party song from a fake one.
This poll is worthless without links to the songs.
Oh, are they still making music now-a-days?
@Zeusandhera To help address this I just listened to the radio for a bit, and I can tell you that the answer is categorically no.
@shahnm @Zeusandhera There’s still radio?
@awk @Zeusandhera There better be. Or else I don’t know what the fuck I just listened to.
@awk @shahnm @Zeusandhera
It was CarVR with 3D sound system, but you don’t have the latest model of the Apple Roadster to be able to use it.
@Zeusandhera Yeah, it’s a meme.
Trick question, there have been no good party songs in the past 5 years.
Is that list real songs?
@Darrell2
Knowing Meh, probably not.
Knowing modern pop culture, almost definitely yes.
The sad thing is that I have no idea if these are real songs or parody titles/“artists” that the Meh folk made up.
I guess I could google it, but whatevs…
/giphy Are they all real songs?
/giphy MR WORLD WIDE
Party song? Like Happy Birthday?
@Tin_Foil No, they mean like the Whig Party anthem.
Apparently no such thing exists on youtube, so you’ll have to settle for this:
Well, none of these songs exist.
@TheFLP Glad to hear that…cuz I thought I was REALLY outta the loop.
I was gonna post whatever the first video result for each one is, but first one in an’ Googles already like “I dunno what the fuck ur on about” so nuts to that plan.
Bad and Boujee - Migos
Or for 75% of this site it’s the song that goes “raindrop, droptop”
Honorable mention? Panda - Desiigner
@reclaimercube
I’d say “Just a Banana” from Mediocre Labs.
As noted by others above, none sound like real titles, but I don’t know much about recent popular music (and I’m not a big party go-er).
@mfladd The dude looks like he fell asleep on his sister-in-law’s sofa while his niece & nephew decided today was the day to try out their new markers…on him.
@mfladd that video is something else. I wonder how much the ladies got paid to stand around with lampshades their heads.
@mfladd I like your style fladd. Good choice.
Without Adam Yauch, there can be no good party songs.
@hchavers
Now my name is MCA, I’ve got a license to kill
I think you know what time it is, it’s time to get ill…

I thought of it!!!

Eric Clapton, Sting & Phil Collins join in.
@blaineg Automatic like. Brothers In Arms was the first album (cassette) I had as a kid.
To the best of my knowledge, I’ve never heard any of these songs. Is “Louie Louie” a party song? That’s my vote.
/youtube kingsmen louie
@eonfifty - I don’t know if this is the best way to break it to you, but it’s actually MORE than five years since that song debuted:

I genuinely don’t know if any of those are real.

For there to be a best party song, wouldn’t there have to be a good party song?
Oh thank god. Apparently, I am not the only one who couldn’t tell if those were all joke songs, or one was, or none.
I don’t recognize any of those songs, but I’ma vote for basically anything by Anderson Paak. That said, nothing takes a party to the next level like Tight Fittin Jeans by Conway Twitty!
I listen to pop hits and I haven’t heard of ANY of those songs! Way to read your demographic, Meh!
@givancic The folks at meh understand their core demographic: people who don’t go to parties (or really, interact voluntarily with people except via cyberspace) and wouldn’t know a real party song from a fake one.
Thanks, meh, for understanding us so well!
@givancic @rockblossom Someone made the statement that most startup inventions can be explained by the phrase:
“Things 20-something engineers wish their mom would still do for them.”
And my brother-in-law chimed in with “interact with people”.
@givancic because they’re not real.
It’s been over 5 years but this has been my favorite party anthem for a while.

Not sure about party songs or not but may be an interesting fact
It seems this guy is wildly popular as his album Stoney broke Michael Jackson Thriller record. Article from Rolling Stone: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/post-malone-broke-a-34-year-michael-jackson-record-how-705514/
