Because we had some people out of town, and other people who weren’t ready for gift giving the week before Christmas, we decided to have a combined Christmas and New Year’s Eve party. So all the gifts are still under my tree unopened till Sunday. However regardless of what I end up getting, the best gift will have been the time I spent with friends over the holidays.

I got new carpeting, a remodeled kitchen counter, and a hardwood floor from my parents and husband in the house we just bought.
