I’m well under this weight limit and even with the eyehooks lifting the hammock as high as possible, when attempting to lie in it, my back is scraping the floor and driving the metal bar into my back. do not recommend.
Anyone else get bummed when they buy something on Morning Save and then the next day it pops up on Meh for 20 bucks less? This might be the 2nd time this has happened to me.
This looks pretty much like the Amazon basics stand and hammock that I bought from Amazon earlier this year for $75. It’s been great so far. Highly recommend.
The stand is too wide for my lightweight camping hammock, but the hammock that comes with it is great for backyard use, so the camping one can stay packed away.

@AuntMean67 if your hammock is outside. Whatever floats your boat. If you have mice getting inside and are touchy feely about it. This is a very effective multi mouse no kill trap.
If you check it every day… And clearly you’d have to do something with them which will probably result in death anyway… tossing them out in the woods is iffy. Feel free to adopt them. If you don’t check it they die after a day or two and the next one tries to eat them. Which is a little icky to clean out. They are pests and plenty of them so.
@unksol I live in the boonies and mice in the house are extremely common. That said, I do befriend some to my spouses lament! I used to be afraid of mice until a couple of years ago when I got up to make a pot of coffee and lo and behold! There’s a big one on the counter ledge holding a mouse trap eating the peanutbutter and seeds attached to it and it never tripped the trap! It looked up at me and stared a minute and then went back to eating. I was amazed and awed. I was so proud of a mouse that had was such a survivor I decided to get a cage and keep it. My husband killed it the next day. But…we still get a lot of mice in the house and I take pleasure sometimes in seeing them now. I just don’t tell my husband when I see one.

We have a very similar stand (with what looks like the exact same hammock) and they are fantastic! So much so that we bought 2 a while back for closer to $70 each. The stand is easy enough to move by one person if you grab it in the middle on the bottom. If I didn’t have a couple already I’d definitely get one of these!

Well, I received my hammock today. The box is definitely marked “Island” but the included hammock is none of the colors listed on the sale page. Except for one of the preview images… there is a photo of a black, brown, white, and gray striped hammock with a woman sitting in it…That’s the actual color I received.
Anyone else received theirs yet? I did pay for upgraded shipping over my membership free shipping.
Welp, even worse than I thought! Two of the sections of the frame have been damaged. The end of the pipe is flattened / bent inwards enough that it will not allow the smaller diameter tube to be inserted to assemble half of the frame.
What I thought was going to be the least “meh” purchase I’ve made off of this site… Got me!
@dougolas I received mine today. The box was in bad condition and filled with the little caps that go on the end of bolts - which were not necessary. It took a little work figuring it out (instructions useless) but we got it together over lunch break.

Box was damaged. Didn’t include any bolts, connectors, etc. The hammock itself also doesn’t include the reinforced metal grip. Just completely horrible. Not what was pictured. Also didn’t inclhded any instructions, pamphlets, etc.
@gc3024 dang at least mine came with the 4 screws and rubber and caps. I didn’t mention in my email to meh, but my order also lacked a metal reinforcement /support ring. Sucks that we all had similar issues
@dougolas I got screws at least too, they were in a cinched closed dark green parachute/nylon drawstring bag for some reason, and there was another plastic bag in the box but nothing in it. Single sheet parts list/example of it fully setup. Clearly was an open box previously judging by the tape and state of the contents. Did have all my caps though too, which was surprising given the gaping hole in the side of the box where one of the feet tubes punched through entirely at some point. No metal support rings either though on the hammock.
@dougolas Oh no! I just submitted a ticket for this same problem. I also didn’t get the extra rainbow hammock I ordered. I’m super bummed. Would definitely have not ordered/paid money for the color I got.
Some of my pipes look out of round. They all have weld seams inside. The paint is thicc. Some of it chipped off so I could see how thicc it was. I’ve only been able to join two pieces so far. I’m going to have wire wheel some of the paint off and try again. On the bright side, i was reluctant to buy one of these because i thought it might be too light. This thing is definitely heavy duty.
@robthelen, heavy yes, but not heavy duty. Second time getting out of it and the frame bent. It was fun for the couple of hours we had it, not worth $60.

Mine made it all the way to my town on Wednesday and then decided it wanted to take a tour of Southern California and is currently 125 miles away. I was hoping to try it out this weekend.
anyone have any tips on putting this thing together? I was able to fit 2 pieces of the base together but can’t get either upright support to attach despite half a can of wd40 and 220 lbs of elbow grease
Mine hasn’t even been shipped yet, but looks like I’m not missing out. Frustrated because Woot had a similar one on sale a few days later (for a bit more) and now wish I had order that one, but didn’t because I thought I was getting one from Meh.
I really hope Meh can go back and get their money from whomever they purchased these from so we can get our money back. Seems like a major quality control issue with whomever they wholesaled these from.

The follow-up thing that helped that seems obvious now but was counterintuitive to me was using the lower holes keeps the hammock higher. I went with 3 down on one side and 2 down on the other.
Got mine, admittedly I haven’t opened the box all the way, possibly there is a second hammock in there, but the one I got is definitely not the “island” color.

@Bluedragon07 didn’t even look at it that close, saw it was brown and walked away. Hubby is happy it’s brown, but not the fun color I was looking for. I guess I will have to get artsy with it.
Got mine today after it toured the whole US. From TX to GA to CA back to TX and finally FL, only to have have my 7yr old asked why I ordered the “poop brown”. I didn’t, I ordered the Island, poop brown wasn’t even an option!
@stevenssara58 mine was a bear to put together, but very happy with it. Tons of torque to twist the stands onto the base and most of the paint stripped off, but I’m confident it wont come apart.
So the first one was a dream to assemble! Set it up and I was in heaven! The second had tubes that barely fit together and the holes for the screws were poorly drilled. Once assembled, though, they are awesome!!!
Arrived with box ends ripped open and holes all over it. Carrying case ripped. After less than a day of use the cross sections have both started to rust.
I got poop brown instead of blue. That was unfortunate. I loved it the three times I was able to lie in before the middle bar bent and snapped. Now I’m just happy I didn’t get impales. First Meh purchase I regret making.
Pretty happy with this. I was momentarily confused by the instructions’ reference to a non-existent picture, but once I figured out the hooks go on the outside, it was fine. Got the color I asked for too AND a couple of extra bolts.
@dam091 UPDATE: Support responded to my inquiry and refunded the cost. They said if it eventually arrives, keep it for free. It arrived the next day. So, score, and awesome customer service! Thanks meh! I think I will take some candy corn now!
So… This isn’t coming is it? Been in my hometown on a couple of occasions, but never seems to leave a different facility in a different city. I think I’m about to give up hope on it.
Finally… I purchased a full set (hammock and stand) and also just an additional hammock (with no stand).
By tracking date, it all started on July 27. Both items got ‘inducted’ in the Pitney Bowes Network on July 30th.
The full hammock set got here on August 8th.
The 2nd hammock (w/o stand) got here today, August 21.
Bizarre… I’ve been a VMP since October 2016, and this is the worst shipping experience I’ve had… and really only one of the few I’ve had where stuff just seemed to ‘disappear’.
I had already emailed meh support about this, and they said give it another week and then write back for refund… was going to get that refund today… only to be shocked and surprised when I saw the damn hammock was out for delivery today…
Ah well… back to drinking all that wine I’ve been buying on Casemates…
Mine’s apparently made it from Texas to NC and back to Texas. Pitney Bowes needs to reconsider their role as a logistics agent. Maybe one day we’ll get a hammock.

I contacted support on mine a while ago. They’re response was basically “wait”. I’ve contacted them one more time, then I’ll also be contacting my credit card company.
Something seems to have gone really wrong on this one.
Mine went from Texas to Indiana to New Jersey where it has been sitting idle since August 12th. I’ll give it a few more days before requesting a refund.
It’s now a race to get here between my Meh bag that I ordered on August 19th (that hasn’t shipped yet,) and this hammock I ordered on July 25th. The race is over on the other things I ordered on August 19th. Those things are at my local post office.
The hammock was in my city 18 days ago, but was sent back to Texas. Meh support told me last week not to worry because it’s already on the way to my house. :rolleyes:
I ordered on July 25th and still haven’t received it on August 26th. It bounced back and forth between Texas and California until August 19th when it stopped in California and has supposedly stayed there since. I’ve just emailed and asked for a refund. We’ll see what happens. Totally ridiculous!
I’ve been issued a refund, either it’s lost or destroyed. How does a company like Meh.com accept this from their shipping company? This is the second and last order from them that has been lost. I can’t continue to shop here.
Mine finally arrived after bouncing around between Texas and California (and I’m so close to Texas, the nearby towns have asked to just be considered Texas). We’ll put it together tomorrow, but we did open it to see how bad the items were - I actually received the color I ordered which was not poop brown, and the frame seems solid. Even the “handles” on the screws look different than the ones in the photo about this. Maybe I lucked out and got a good batch?

Update: Meh confirmed there are no replacements available and they issued a refund. I’m okay with that resolution, but still sad about it.

anyone have any tips on putting this thing together? I was able to fit 2 pieces of the base together but can’t get either upright support to attach despite half a can of wd40 and 220 lbs of elbow grease

Mine hasn’t even been shipped yet, but looks like I’m not missing out. Frustrated because Woot had a similar one on sale a few days later (for a bit more) and now wish I had order that one, but didn’t because I thought I was getting one from Meh.

I really hope Meh can go back and get their money from whomever they purchased these from so we can get our money back. Seems like a major quality control issue with whomever they wholesaled these from.
Completely forgot about this purchase! Mine was “Picked up and Processed by Agent” in my local area one week ago & has just been stuck at that point apparently.

@DemonMF777 Mine FINALLY showed up this weekend. Color seems a bit off & NO metal inserts like some other commenters have mentioned… but at least it actually came!
Got mine in and tried it out tonight. Sits way lower to the ground than I imagined but no issues. Super comfortable and easy to set up.

The follow-up thing that helped that seems obvious now but was counterintuitive to me was using the lower holes keeps the hammock higher. I went with 3 down on one side and 2 down on the other.

@dave @Seeds Yours can get to the lower holes? Mine seems to be unable to stretch that far.

Got mine, admittedly I haven’t opened the box all the way, possibly there is a second hammock in there, but the one I got is definitely not the “island” color.
@wifeduck Actually mine was supposed to be island as well but I got a different color that’s more brown. Also doesn’t have the metal eyelets that were advertised
@Bluedragon07 didn’t even look at it that close, saw it was brown and walked away. Hubby is happy it’s brown, but not the fun color I was looking for. I guess I will have to get artsy with it.
Got mine today after it toured the whole US. From TX to GA to CA back to TX and finally FL, only to have have my 7yr old asked why I ordered the “poop brown”. I didn’t, I ordered the Island, poop brown wasn’t even an option!
I didn’t even order one of these buy I’d love to hear an update from the buyer.

It’s surprisingly nice! We were planning on using a hammock we already had, but this one is cozy.
I need to have one or two pipes reamed so they will slide together so that’s where I am currently. No stand yet.
@stevenssara58 mine was a bear to put together, but very happy with it. Tons of torque to twist the stands onto the base and most of the paint stripped off, but I’m confident it wont come apart.
So the first one was a dream to assemble! Set it up and I was in heaven! The second had tubes that barely fit together and the holes for the screws were poorly drilled. Once assembled, though, they are awesome!!!

Arrived with box ends ripped open and holes all over it. Carrying case ripped. After less than a day of use the cross sections have both started to rust.

I got poop brown instead of blue. That was unfortunate. I loved it the three times I was able to lie in before the middle bar bent and snapped. Now I’m just happy I didn’t get impales. First Meh purchase I regret making.

Pretty happy with this. I was momentarily confused by the instructions’ reference to a non-existent picture, but once I figured out the hooks go on the outside, it was fine. Got the color I asked for too AND a couple of extra bolts.
Poop brown for me not “island blue”
Mine was in Orlando (where I live) on August 7, then got shipped to Texas on the 10th, where it apparently disappeared off the face of the earth.
@dam091 UPDATE: Support responded to my inquiry and refunded the cost. They said if it eventually arrives, keep it for free. It arrived the next day. So, score, and awesome customer service! Thanks meh! I think I will take some candy corn now!

So… This isn’t coming is it? Been in my hometown on a couple of occasions, but never seems to leave a different facility in a different city. I think I’m about to give up hope on it.
Finally… I purchased a full set (hammock and stand) and also just an additional hammock (with no stand).
By tracking date, it all started on July 27. Both items got ‘inducted’ in the Pitney Bowes Network on July 30th.
The full hammock set got here on August 8th.
The 2nd hammock (w/o stand) got here today, August 21.
Bizarre… I’ve been a VMP since October 2016, and this is the worst shipping experience I’ve had… and really only one of the few I’ve had where stuff just seemed to ‘disappear’.
I had already emailed meh support about this, and they said give it another week and then write back for refund… was going to get that refund today… only to be shocked and surprised when I saw the damn hammock was out for delivery today…
Ah well… back to drinking all that wine I’ve been buying on Casemates…
Mine’s apparently made it from Texas to NC and back to Texas. Pitney Bowes needs to reconsider their role as a logistics agent. Maybe one day we’ll get a hammock.

I contacted support on mine a while ago. They’re response was basically “wait”. I’ve contacted them one more time, then I’ll also be contacting my credit card company.
Something seems to have gone really wrong on this one.
Mine went from Texas to Indiana to New Jersey where it has been sitting idle since August 12th. I’ll give it a few more days before requesting a refund.
It’s now a race to get here between my Meh bag that I ordered on August 19th (that hasn’t shipped yet,) and this hammock I ordered on July 25th. The race is over on the other things I ordered on August 19th. Those things are at my local post office.
The hammock was in my city 18 days ago, but was sent back to Texas. Meh support told me last week not to worry because it’s already on the way to my house. :rolleyes:
I ordered on July 25th and still haven’t received it on August 26th. It bounced back and forth between Texas and California until August 19th when it stopped in California and has supposedly stayed there since. I’ve just emailed and asked for a refund. We’ll see what happens. Totally ridiculous!
I’ve been issued a refund, either it’s lost or destroyed. How does a company like Meh.com accept this from their shipping company? This is the second and last order from them that has been lost. I can’t continue to shop here.
My stand just collapsed; the bottom brace just folded in half after I tightened the hammock a bit to adjust for the fabric stretching out.

Mine finally arrived after bouncing around between Texas and California (and I’m so close to Texas, the nearby towns have asked to just be considered Texas). We’ll put it together tomorrow, but we did open it to see how bad the items were - I actually received the color I ordered which was not poop brown, and the frame seems solid. Even the “handles” on the screws look different than the ones in the photo about this. Maybe I lucked out and got a good batch?

Mine arrived yesterday, and the box looked like it had spent the whole shipping time being used as a scratching post in the lion’s den at the zoo. But the contents were all there and in fine shape.
