@boygenius1991 That's an odd rating scale you use there. Most people rate things out of 100 which makes your parents almost 97/100. Still a good score.
@hallmike not sure if you're joking. I meant my parents are 56 and 58 years old, and this product is easy for them to use with minimal intervention from me. I guess I could've phrased it more clearly.
I got one of these last time. They're actually not meh. Of course just about any cheap BT keyboard should work fine though and I don't have experience with any others... But for $9; you can't go wrong there.
@44R0N7 I got the mini and despite them saying the keyboard is weird... it was weird... certain keys didn't work properly... so I'm looking for a new keyboard for my iphone/ipad... but as much as I want one, I've put a cap at $6 max. They come up, just few and far between.
@44R0N7 Meh has sold some BT keyboards here that really sucked -- and the write up made sure the folks buying them knew what pieces of shit they were. Unresponsive or double key presses were typical with it.
What a lovely gift? Looks more like the "fruit cake" of the electronics world. I wonder how many, if given as gifts, will end up stowed at the back of some shelf, unopened, and re-gifted. I've never been fond of this particular keyboard layout.
I also have one. Not bad, actually. The keyboard does mess me up once in awhile, but it isn't major. The thing that ended up annoying me was… the weight. I use it with an iPad Air 2, and really does become noticeable sometimes. I ended switching back to a basic cover, and then I REALLY noticed the difference.
Still great if I need to be out and about, but know I'll type a lot. I do recommend it, especially for the price.
Bought one for my Hannspree 10" tablet and while it did fit, the edges of the tablet stick out and it pulled a slight tear near the tab (mostly unnoticed ). It was also $5 more last time. Also, the keys are a bit awkward to use but not quite as much as other tablet keyboards.
Bought this for a few dollars more a couple of months ago. Use it with an iPad 2. It works quite well; it is heavy and noticeable, but provides a better way to type and fits the iPad 2 like it was meant to (other than covering up the headphone jack, which I don't need).
@jdmst77 The iPad 2 was quite similar length/width but the iPad 2 was much thinner. If the straps have any give to them, then it should fit the TouchPad.
@eblade@jdmst77 the way it attaches is with little brackets, one at the top, and one at each bottom corner. The two on bottom stretch out to grab various sizes. I'll look at them and see how they accommodate different thicknesses.
@eblade oh well, if I was looking for a case for my SGT4, this would have been awesome but I grabbed a couple Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folios for 5 when the Office Depot by me went out of business. No funny key placement on that case
@jdmst77@djslack@narfcake ... if anyone is curious.. just received them. Tried one on my TouchPad. It is just a hair too small, a tiny bit of stretching was able to make it hold it, although the case doesn't want to close entirely properly with it.
If the case had a clasp to hold it closed, it looks like it would work fine. I'm quite surprised at the weight of the keyboard and case, this makes an already "heavy" tablet almost ridiculous.
The write-up highlights the non-standard keyboard layout but points out how rarely most people use the semicolon/colon key. That isn't really the problem, though. If you touch type, when you reach your pinky over to hit where the apostrophe/quotation mark key should be, you hit the enter key instead. You may not use the semicolon/colon key often, but you probably do use the apostrophe/quotation mark key very often, and it's also in the wrong place, even if it's closer to the right place than the semicolon key is. Erroneously hitting enter that often gets annoying fast.
Using ipads as POS units at ticketbooths, I think these would work great to compliment that. Ordered three. Now I have to sucker someone else into ordering three more. (One for each window..)
@radi0j0hn well.. Honestly only reason I went with ios is because it was the cheapest and most practical for what we are doing.. I otherwise only run android..
"Take photos without removing case; A fold-down flap provides easy access to your tablet's camera, letting you take pictures without removing the case." That's one of my problems with the keyboard case I've been using... Amazon sez their Model: F5L170ttC00 has this perk yet meh doesn't mention it nor shows any back image.. Does this F5L170ttC00 have that option or is it some kinda Belkin retard?
@unkabob The one I bought last sale has this feature. The top inch and a half or so folds down and magnetically holds in place, so as long as the camera is near the top edge it works.
@djslack .. Thanks friend.. I bought two Belkins earlier (two for Tuesday) and they didn't have this but they were F5L150ttC00 so maybe this one will surprise me.. If not there's always a yard sell. (dreadful-beneficent-plastic)
@eblade Why does everybody else get all the good order names? Last time I bought this, I got technical-winding-newt, which was so unpleasant I didn't even search. The case itself was not wide enough for the 'It' tablet I have, so somebody else gets it for Christmas. Unlucky them.
I bought two of the ones in the pictures and hate them with a fiery passion. Having the apostrophe where the semi-colon is supposed to be makes them worse than useless. Interesting that the write-up says the semi-colon is next to the 'l' key but all the pictures show the semi-colon on the bottom row next to the space bar. But even if the write-up is right, it's still garbage because the apostrophe isn't where it's supposed to be. (If I had tried to type the previous sentence with this keyboard I would have thrown it through the window before I got to the full stop.)
@ntowl24 I don't think it will. I'm using this with my Winbook TW100, which is thinner (0.43"), and the clips barely fit. It also won't be wide enough; the cover is just over 10" (I think), and my tablet is 10.56" wide.
@ACraigL You can afford that now, you shirt.woot designer you ... that still hasn't concatually fulfilled the "must submit a catshirt design" requirement ...
FWIW, the one I bought has been used. It's smaller than my Winbook TW100, but $14 for bluetooth was also better than $40 for the official wired keyboard.
I have a previous version that has the apostrophe/quote marks at the bottom level. Though they minimize this, it's incredibly annoying since I get a line-feed every time I want an apostrophe (though I only use it for working on my phone so it's a huge improvement over the touch screen).
I imagine that this will be the same way with the colon/semicolon.
If you're a "touch typist" and things like this matter, spend the extra few dollars on a properly laid out keyboard or you'll make the transition from "meh" to {unwanted line feed} "@#%@!!! {unwanted line feed} "{unwanted line feed}.
I have been know to take some keyboard/holder combos (found in thrift stores) that do not fit my tablet and cut away the keyboard and use it separately.
In for 1. 400+ days without a purchase has been long enough.
Plan on using it on my Asus Memopad. The current case I own has these loops which go around each corner and blocks the power button and volume controls. This case with bonus keyboard looks to be a nice substitute.
Just received this as my first Meh purchase. So far, so good. Came on time and not broken. Does have an extra m button, but that's the letter I like the most so at least that works out.
This is a nice quality keyboard case. I'm glad I bought it. I have a Matsunichi 10 inch tablet. It can fit if I force it, but then certain buttons are covered. The button covering issue happens with other tablet cases I've used. So no surprise there. Instead I just prop it against the case. and it works fine. Or I put it in only the two bottom holders.
The interface to use a Bluetooth keyboard with my tablet is kind of klunky (android 4.1), not exactly plug and play. I'm older than 58 and it is no big deal to figure out. Age has nothing to do with it.

@AttyVette
Bad puns ... I can't QWERT you.
Not my type.
@jsimsace
At the risk of stereotyping, I knew you'd say that.
Or type it, that is
Probably with both hands. (That's what stereotyping means, yeah?)
Shows Baby arm coming out to type on keys .. Meh-- wait till baby arm grows up and wants car keys
@AttyVette
One armed baby ... so that's monotyping?
@MehnofLaMehncha wouldn't that make two armed babies stereotyping?
I've bought a couple of these. my parent love them for their ipads. highly recommend 'em
@boygenius1991
No higher praise for a tech item than saying ones parents love it.
@MehnofLaMehncha yep. they're 56/58. it's plug and play, nothing to set up or mess with.
@boygenius1991 I use mine for apple TV. Make a quicker search and has a much stronger signal than the apple remote control.

@sohmageek Meh was selling them for $5 each in September, 2014.
@44R0N7 Meh has sold some BT keyboards here that really sucked -- and the write up made sure the folks buying them knew what pieces of shit they were. Unresponsive or double key presses were typical with it.
They still sold quite a few.
@sschong I don't think those were belkin
I already have a perfectly good keyboard to type "meh" from.
What a lovely gift? Looks more like the "fruit cake" of the electronics world. I wonder how many, if given as gifts, will end up stowed at the back of some shelf, unopened, and re-gifted. I've never been fond of this particular keyboard layout.
Feelin' qwerty....

Qall me qrazy, but I qurrently qant justify qliqqing "buy" on this qool QODE qeyboard qase and qable.

@djslack awesome, so it should be a perfect fit for my large quantity of in use HP TouchPads and my iPad 2. cool!
@eblade I was just wondering if it would fit the kids' HP TouchPads
@jdmst77 The iPad 2 was quite similar length/width but the iPad 2 was much thinner. If the straps have any give to them, then it should fit the TouchPad.
@eblade @jdmst77 the way it attaches is with little brackets, one at the top, and one at each bottom corner. The two on bottom stretch out to grab various sizes. I'll look at them and see how they accommodate different thicknesses.
It doesn't look like it has room to go much thicker than the ipad, actually :(
@eblade @jdmst77 I don't think this would work with the Touchpad. My Winbook is 0.43" thick, and the clips barely fit.
@narfcake hmm. TouchPad is 0.53 .. hmm.
@eblade oh well, if I was looking for a case for my SGT4, this would have been awesome but I grabbed a couple Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folios for 5 when the Office Depot by me went out of business. No funny key placement on that case

@jqubed That was my problem too. Annoying as hell.
@jqubed I use the semicolon often; it's the way I write.
Using ipads as POS units at ticketbooths, I think these would work great to compliment that. Ordered three. Now I have to sucker someone else into ordering three more. (One for each window..)
@joedel263 POS=point of sale, not....
@radi0j0hn well..

@unkabob I checked my orders and the one I have is the same model number. You should be good with it.
@djslack ... Great! Thanks again.
Dubious-gentle furniture...
Really... Dracula's castle...??
I am NOT a swanky-cranky-ferret.
@eblade ok, but I think it's cool to be a sexy frantic ninja.

Any idea if this would fit a Surface Pro 1st gen? It's pretty thick for a tablet so I'm not sure it would fit.
@ntowl24 Hear hear, I repeat your question, but I want to know if it will work with a Surface Pro 3.
@ntowl24 I don't think it will. I'm using this with my Winbook TW100, which is thinner (0.43"), and the clips barely fit. It also won't be wide enough; the cover is just over 10" (I think), and my tablet is 10.56" wide.
@narfcake Yes, me sad :
Galaxy Tab S4 Dimensions
24.3 cm (9.58 in) H
17.6 cm (6.94 in) W
8 mm (0.31 in) D
Surface Pro Dimensions :
10.81 inches (27.5 cm) (w)
6.81 inches (17.3 cm) (h)
0.53 inches (13 mm) (d)
Surface Pro 3 Dimensions :
11.5 inches (29 cm) (width)
7.93 inches (20.1 cm) (height)
0.36 inches (9.1 mm) (depth)
Paid $14 for this in July and have not taken it out of the box. That $5 early-adopter fee is really paying off.
