@Willijs3@ParadisePete id rather wait for an iPad version that has the proper stickers on it. I have an iPad mini sized keyboard that works and has the proper buttons but is a tad small.
@Noddy93 ?? I'm lost? I'm just looking for one that will work with the Mac. From what I've seen it doesn't work for windows button either. I don't own android devices. So meh deal.
@sohmageek oops... yep. i didn't use it for my mac and didn't notice the lack of windows key. i used it for about 5 minutes before the quote key placement made my head splode. if anyone is sad that they missed this i'll be more than happy to send one your way... at no cost to you. this offer is good for 2 people (as i have 2).
Mechanical (clicky) keyboards don't have to be deafening. Try some MX Browns or blacks.
Even tablet keyboards don't have to be crap (look at the surface series mechanical keyboard).
Decent deal tho if you just want a cheap Bluetooth keyboard. Incidentally the first thing I bought on meh was a belkin Bluetooth keyboard. (Without the annoying tablet holding part)
@sourhead And you just used it in the sentence above.
Anyway, for anyone that uses the hunt and peck technique, this keyboard would probably be okay. If you're a touch typist, I'd avoid at all cost. Even for free, I wouldn't use it.
@cengland0 Yeah, I bought two of them last time in spite of this very warning. I figured I could work around it. I was wrong. The keyboard borders on unusable for me.
I bought two of these last time. Well worth a few bucks. Ripped the plastic holder away, and it's a great Apple TV keyboard, that drapes across or stands up against a monitor for easy use.
$5 for a BT keyboard that works with apple devices is well worth it.
Son of a bitch, look who decided to show up...Five Dolla Special! A temptress soo sleazy, she'll get you to buy just about anything for $5. Your tricks however will not work on me!
I recommend this. Mechanical keyboards are a trend that will die soon anyways. It's recommended to oil the keys a few times a month to prevent buildup of rust on the mechanical gears and no one has time to do that. This has no wires so you don't have to worry about rust or cogs getting stuck.
@KevinTJ Huh? What? I have mechanical keyboards that I've had for decades without oiling and they still work perfectly. I have no idea what you're talking about.
@cengland0 Trust me I forgot to oil my keyboard a whole month so I oiled it double in one day and it was too late, it sadly stopped working. I was past the 60 day warranty so I had no choice but to throw it away.
I bought this last time and used Velcro to place my Nexus 7 in the corner. In the extra space, I've added a small Trond battery pack, and a small holder for business cards. I even have a little spot for pens on the side. Works like a champ!
Not sure if this will work. I'll post this in a new comment if this doesn't come through. You'll notice that I don't have the battery in place. Must have left it at the office, but you get the idea.
I bought 2 of these last time, too, and the case seems to hold an iPad Air in a propped up position when I use it. The fact of the matter is, while it seems to work just fine, I virtually never use it.
@nadroj I noticed that too. For $2.50 each I might have considered it but I think its only one for $5 and the 'both cases' only would apply if you bought two.
Also for you buyers: this model has the Fn key at the bottom left of the keyboard (where the CTRL typically is). Some of the pictures are from different models.
I threw away my broken old Model M a few years back and my life has been a drifting, meaningless void ever since. It's like the typing I do now isn't even real.
@satih Do you know where you are? Look around. This is the Land of Crap You Don't Need. It's full of crap you don't need and people who buy it. You, sir, are lost.
i remembered i ordered this before after impulsive five dolla buy.. the last one is just gathering dust. now will have two. maybe one day i can use it for something :D
Goat review time: It works. Not great, though, as it's small for touch typing (along with the aforementioned key placements). There's no mapping that equates to the Windows key, nor F-keys, so Windows users may be frustrated with this. Still, one can't complain too much over a $5 BT keyboard.
@narfcake It doesn't get you win-r or win-e and friends, but you can hit ctrl-esc to pop up the windows menu [on most keyboards; I don't have this one, but it's almost certainly going to work]
Is it possible to remove the keyboard from the bottom cover completely (without destroying the battery or something)? Other than by trimming the excess area off...
If these are the same ones they sold a few months ago, then Meh should point out that an iPad Air 2 snaps into them pretty much perfectly. And they are a nice keyboard. Just the times you need a keyboard with your tablet are few. Heck I'm doing this comment on my tablet and am fine using my thumbs and the screen.
I was pretty happy with my on screen Android key board but im going to be happier with this bluetooth key board for the price of a good burger ..well done Meh T.Y./ P.S Recieved the glasses you had on sale last week despite the complaints about poor packaging they came in a double box with bubble wrap all intact ..but if i must say they were rite up there with dollar store glasses ..But ok for 8 bucks shipped i suppose, not really complaining but would not purchase them again..everyone have a splendid weekend and happy Mehing !!!!!!
Got a couple of these the last time around. What they ARE very good for (all kvetching about oddly placed keys or lack of AppleBorg features aside) is for things with worse keyboards (phones and tablets particularly). Makes for good minimalist travel connection via phone/tablet. Throw in a qi charger for the phone to sit on and you've got a pretty good Email/text station though I'd hate to have to write the Great American Novel on it.
@JonT This post or one just like it seems to show up every other day - seems Meh might either post only the product revenue (exclusive of taxes and non-VMP shipping) or put a small disclaimer next to/under the dollars saying "includes tax and shipping". (How often do you get to see 'includes' rather than 'excludes' next to those words? ;)
I got one of these a while back and I use it probably once a week or so when I want to type on the laptop by my bed, but am too lazy to sit up to do so. Easily worth $5. I love it so much I just bought another one.
Also, never noticed this before, but the picture on the box is slightly different from the actual product. If you compare some of the keys on the left side in the first two pictures you can see a few small differences.
This is off topic but i recieved my 808s today and just used them took all of 30 seconds to sync to my tablet the sound is quite simply AMAZING love these ..just wanted to say TY Meh you guys and gals ROCK
I bought one on a prior sale but didn't have a matching tablet. I wound up buying the Kindle Fire HDX when AMZN had it on sale a few months ago. It ALMOST fits (the plastic clips in the belkin case are about 1/2" too big). In 5 minutes, I got out the heat gun (melted glue and made the plastic easier to cut), cut off the two prongs closest to keyboard, and then cut off 1/2" of plastic and re-glued the corners back on. One was kinda loose, so I used some shoe-goo and it is now clamped for 24 hours. Hopefully tomorrow I can use my $5 belkin bluetooth laptop case on my next trip.
BTW, @cengland0 I checked on my keyboard, the :; key is moved down, not the '" key (see photo above). Weird.
@redjeep0 You could be right about the ;: key versus the '" but I cannot confirm now that I gave all mine away. Either way, if I need a single quote for a contraction, I would still be hitting the enter.

@DaveInSoCal
$5 seems like a good price for a generic bluetooth keyboard. I don't have a tablet but in for one anyway.
Nah, have to pass
I almost fell for this one. Almost.
@Willijs3 you gave me the strength to resist.
Meh.. I'm looking for one of these. But it has to have the apple buttons. I want it for when I want to use my Mac from a distance.
@sohmageek The write up says the function buttons work with apple, too.
@sohmageek You can stick a little Apple sticker on there if you need to. The keyboard will work either way.
@Willijs3 @ParadisePete id rather wait for an iPad version that has the proper stickers on it. I have an iPad mini sized keyboard that works and has the proper buttons but is a tad small.
wow! thanks @sohmageek , i finally understand what it is that all the anti-apple folks keep going on about.
@Noddy93 ??
@Noddy93 if you still have, I'll take it off your hand :)
@Leilani shoot me an email to noddy93 at google's email service with postal info and i'll get it out to you post haste.
Mechanical (clicky) keyboards don't have to be deafening. Try some MX Browns or blacks.

Decent deal tho if you just want a cheap Bluetooth keyboard. Incidentally the first thing I bought on meh was a belkin Bluetooth keyboard. (Without the annoying tablet holding part)
Got 2 the last time these were offered and I love it! Worth twice the price.
I bought this one last time and gave them all away because the quote/single quote key is in the wrong place. It's extremely annoying.
Every time you try to hit the single quote, you'll end up hitting enter instead.
@cengland0 This is a true statement. I've taken to not using the single quote.
@sourhead And you just used it in the sentence above.
Anyway, for anyone that uses the hunt and peck technique, this keyboard would probably be okay. If you're a touch typist, I'd avoid at all cost. Even for free, I wouldn't use it.
@cengland0 hmmm, I was about to be all up on this deal, but you've given me something to think about.
EDIT: Yeah, gonna pass. That'd be *really*annoying!
Huh, guess we can only edit once, and of course, my typo was introduced in the edited post.
@cengland0 shucks. I should have read this before buying. I guess a $5 lesson learned?
@canuk It might not be too late to cancel your order.
@cengland0 Thank you! I had just ordered and ended up canceling. This would have driven me insane.
@cengland0 Yeah, I bought two of them last time in spite of this very warning. I figured I could work around it. I was wrong. The keyboard borders on unusable for me.
@SSteve yep... i gots two of sittin' just over there that i won't use anymore.
I bought two of these last time. Well worth a few bucks. Ripped the plastic holder away, and it's a great Apple TV keyboard, that drapes across or stands up against a monitor for easy use.

@studerc Coming soon is $5 two-for-Tuesday ;)
Still have one from Meh sitting in the from I don't know how many months ago. Nope, won't do it again!
I recommend this. Mechanical keyboards are a trend that will die soon anyways. It's recommended to oil the keys a few times a month to prevent buildup of rust on the mechanical gears and no one has time to do that. This has no wires so you don't have to worry about rust or cogs getting stuck.

@KevinTJ
And the crowd goes mild!
Meh! How many blue tooth keyboards does anyone need?.
@doxeelady All. Of. Them.
In for 3 along with a breathtaking-great-weasel
meh-serable product Friday!
I bought this last time and used Velcro to place my Nexus 7 in the corner. In the extra space, I've added a small Trond battery pack, and a small holder for business cards. I even have a little spot for pens on the side. Works like a champ!
@sourhead I would love to see a photo of this setup
Not sure if this will work. I'll post this in a new comment if this doesn't come through. You'll notice that I don't have the battery in place. Must have left it at the office, but you get the idea.
Déjà meh
defeated-worst-church
@rand3y Yeah, I grew up Baptist, too.
The ones I bought back in September are still sitting in their box, yet to be opened. Meh.
@shawn_mitch They are probably lonely. You should buy more.
So can I still click the meh button if I bought two?
@mikepers Yep, I can....
@mikepers Wouldn't want your streak to end!
I bought 2 of these last time, too, and the case seems to hold an iPad Air in a propped up position when I use it. The fact of the matter is, while it seems to work just fine, I virtually never use it.
Resist being a hoarder.
Both cases?
@nadroj I noticed that too. For $2.50 each I might have considered it but I think its only one for $5 and the 'both cases' only would apply if you bought two.
@nadroj It was on two for Tuesday last sale- I think for $10. They forgot to edit the photo.
I bought one of these last time so my kid can do his homework on the iPad if our desktop is acting up. It works well.
Still have one in the box from the last set I bought. A good buy but I don't need more (mine were the detachable ones though).
Baby arm!
@Pamela Baby Arm.
In for 3 Model Ms.
Also for you buyers: this model has the Fn key at the bottom left of the keyboard (where the CTRL typically is). Some of the pictures are from different models.
Perfect clickface today.
brutish-undaunted-spot
I threw away my broken old Model M a few years back and my life has been a drifting, meaningless void ever since. It's like the typing I do now isn't even real.
@satih My cat would never presume to say that to me. (Ha.)
@satih Do you know where you are? Look around. This is the Land of Crap You Don't Need. It's full of crap you don't need and people who buy it. You, sir, are lost.
@satih I love your cat, such good advice. You don't even need another counselor. I have many counselor's myself.
@satih I'm starting to do that... I've gotten to the point where I talk myself out of it... then hit buy when some argument comes up to buy it anyway.
i remembered i ordered this before after impulsive five dolla buy.. the last one is just gathering dust. now will have two.
maybe one day i can use it for something :D

@narfcake Excellent review though your forgot to mention that it is baby arm compatible.
@narfcake It doesn't get you win-r or win-e and friends, but you can hit ctrl-esc to pop up the windows menu [on most keyboards; I don't have this one, but it's almost certainly going to work]
HP Touchpad fits if you rip the plastic stuff out.
Is it possible to remove the keyboard from the bottom cover completely (without destroying the battery or something)? Other than by trimming the excess area off...
@trisk Nope. It's glued in pretty well.
Why do we keep coming here? They sell most of the time , the most useless shit ever.
finally fell for it. the desire to reply to messages and search for movies faster on my PS4 overcame the $5 asking price.
Bought one the last time. My Nook HD+ snaps right in.
Guessing this won't fit my Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Anyone know?
@ACraigL Oops..I hope it does or I just wasted five bucks!

Just the times you need a keyboard with your tablet are few. Heck I'm doing this comment on my tablet and am fine using my thumbs and the screen.
@JonCBK Grr... Why did you have to point that out... Just ordered for my grandparents...
I sure love video games.
How I Forced This 5 Buck Android Case to Work with an Apple iPad 2 in 10 Minutes or Less:
1) Peel back adhesive and cut/saw/chew off bottom 'tongues':
2) Trim/saw/gnaw top corners to create a near flat top bar:
3) All 4 cuts:
4) iPad 2 in place:
4a)
5) Case Closed:
Also works with the Smart Cover in place, in fact, it holds the iPad better that way.
But even having the keyboard handy, we still rarely use it.
Yes, the cuts are a bit hackish and planned to sand/file them smooth but why bother for a 5 buck case.
Got a couple of these the last time around. Its 11:17 NY time Meh says they sold 957 units at 5 each but say total sales are $5511.00 HOW DOES THAT MATH WORK? ANYBODY?
@mellowirishgent Some pay shipping, some tax, some both.
@JonT This post or one just like it seems to show up every other day - seems Meh might either post only the product revenue (exclusive of taxes and non-VMP shipping) or put a small disclaimer next to/under the dollars saying "includes tax and shipping". Latest sellout ever?
