Are we too close to the holiday season for decent participation? If you're interested in a pre-holiday BF (oh does that sound dirty), please put your information into the handy dandy form below. It's a google form that dumps into a Google Sheet, and only I have access to this. If we get enough participation quicklike, I'll start it up, with a shipping cutoff around The Day of Turkeys. Assume roughly the same rules and budget as last time. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, see here, here, and here.

@dashcloud I, too, am confused… and also still unsure if I have to resubmit the earlier form to acknowledge I'm willing to pay more for shipping further if my recipient is as well.
@brhfl @dashcloud right when i made the form i posted it deep in the original thread, mostly for beta testing porpoises (which should be a thing, by the way). It's the same form.

I want in but need to know how you folks shipped last time without damage - special shipping boxes? I just want to make sure I am equipped to send out securely to assure a safe arrival!
@bdp There was info in the last thread about shipping. Presumably @marklog would repost. Here are the basics: individually bubble wrap every bottle. Bag or otherwise line the whole thing (if there is a breakage, it won't leak and the courier won't confiscate it). Fill up all empty space in box with dunnage. Rotate, shift, shake the box — the innards should not move.
@bdp we had only one casualty as far as I recall- a cider from @sohmageek to @hollboll. Don't worry, we will walk you through it. Bubble wrap is your friend.
@bdp I wrapped all mine in newspaper and packed it in tight in smaller boxes. Then put those in a bigger box with some padding and a trashbag around all of it. I think I put a little bubble wrap on the top and bottom too.
I need like a week before I can decide if I'm up for participation or not. What's the deadline for filling out the form?

Hey all, since I know you are interested in beer I thought I would share this fundraiser the local craft beer group is doing for a local family. You can read the story on the gofundme page. It is for a good cause and has a beer raffle that goes with it if you are interested.
For every $5 you donate you get one ticket in the raffle for the "average" beers. Ones like woot stout, No Rules, BCBS, '14 KBS, Big Bad Baptist, Black Tuesday, Mocha Wednesday, etc.
For every $50 increment you donate you get the 10 of the $5 tickets and one ticket for the big bottles which so far include: BCBS Cherry Rye, BCBS Rare 2015, Black Tuesday Reserve, 2015 Utopias. This list is slowly being released up until the event and I can confirm that several other big whales will make an appearance.

Has anyone tried Left Hand Milk Stout yet? Highly recommended!
@galmaegi I spent 2 months in Colorado after the floods and tried a lot of Left Hand Brewings stuff, they're a good brewery but I don't remember that one specifically

@galmaegi The peanut butter stout you had was based on a clone of Left Hand Milk Stout, plus Peanut Butter.
@marklog ah-ha, that makes sense! I love the peanut butter stout. (I probably didn't say it when I fill out the form.)
@galmaegi the milk stout was one of the first beers I had when I was really getting into craft beer, so I'll always look at it fondly. Otherwise, I think it's a solid stout to keep around since it's widely available. Also pouring it hard is very satisfying.
@galmaegi Milk stouts have quickly become my favorite beer! A Fort Worth brewery called Martin House makes a pretzel stout that is pretty damn good.

@stardate820926 I just kegged my own version of this. If you've never had Abraxas from Perennial, it's the best example of a Mexican Hot Chocolate beer I've had.

I am @RedHot , I am Awesome. I have a beautiful wife, an excellent career, and I live in Raleigh, NC where some of the best beer in the world is made. I grew up close to Asheville, NC where the rest of the best beer in the world is made. I love a really hoppy IPA in the summer and a nice thick coffee Porter in the winter. I enjoy sex, beer, outside, fishing and steak (in that order).

An intro to @cbilyak...I am the complete opposite of @RedHot. I am a hairy, overweight, witch with an ogre for a husband and trolls for children, we also have a pet dragon and piranha. My job is miserable and my boss even worse. I live in a mud hut. The only thing I have going for me is beer, good beer. I live walking distance to 3 Floyds and have a number of other good breweries near me plus lots of diverse liquor stores.

I have 5 breweries within 30 min of me and I live close to the beer mecca that is Vermont. I look forward to surprising whomever I get paired with.
Hey, I'm @galmaegi. I thought there were only two beers in the world- Cass and Hite- until I met my husband in 2010. We explored the international beer section at our grocery store taste-tasing every beer we could possibly get while living in Korea. Then we found this gem in Seoul called Craftworks where my go-to was the Halla Mountain Golden Ale with the Seorak Oatmeal Stout perfect for the Winter. The year before I moved to the States we frequented Magpie Brewing which was conveniently located in our neighborhood (Noksapyeong for anyone who knows about Seoul). Along with the pizza slices, that was one of my favorite places in Seoul. Now I'm back here participating to "Beer Fuku Too". I'm sure beer lovers are proud of me now. :) If you've never tried Cass or Hite, make sure you taste it blind so you realize how bad it is.

I am @skylord123. I love all things tech. I am a programmer for a company out of Southern Utah. I mainly do web development but also whatever else is needed. My girlfriend is from Norway and I plan to move there in the future (no more meh, sad day).

@galmaegi Last Christmas I went to go meet my girlfriend's family and her father introduced me to their dark Christmas beers. They were rather delicious. I wasn't much of a beer person until I went there and found out there is actually good beer out there.

@Kevin sorry dude! the signups got extended due to my laziness in randomizing the participants, but once that was done I locked down the spreadsheet.
I have all my beer...now I am in a quandary about the packaging...have an idea that may end up costing more to produce and ship than it is worth...but I do like a game/challenge!
I'm building mine today and shipping tomorrow! This has been a challenge as my person and I have very different taste in beer.

My person should be getting theirs today. My packaging wasn't very creative because this it the first time I've shipped beer. I was more concerned with breakage or FedEx confiscating it. The beer will still taste good though!

Shalom. I am @connorbush I enjoy playing disc-golf, thrashing at foot-golf, going hiking, and generally being outdoors. I hate my desk job and am trying to become a park ranger or brewery sales-rep. I enjoy black coffee, soup, and burnt toast. I like my beers to be not so carbonated, generally on the dark side of life, and with an abv. that will make me go -- "oh my." (stout, porter,scotch ale)
